Chunyu (2/5): serious cleanliness issues - The view is great, offering a clear overlook of Surfers Paradise. 1 - Serious cleanliness issues during our stay: (1) All bedsheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases had visible stains. (2) Sand from the previous guests was left uncleaned in the living room and bathroom. (3)The provided products (bedding, towels, etc.) were of very poor quality. (4) There were numerous stains on the walls and furniture, further highlighting poor maintenance. 2 - Excessive Pre-Check-In Messages & Additional Hidden Fees: I was bombarded with constant messages like “text bombshells” about a $500 deposit and a non-refundable 5% credit card surcharge, which was very stressful even before arrival. This pre check-in through their external website incurred an extra, non-refundable $25 fee, which was not clearly communicated upfront. 3 - Misleading setup: The property is advertised for five people, but the sofa bed setup was inadequate—only a small blanket was provided, and no duvet cover was available. Additional bedding was not prepared in advance despite confirming our group size. 4 - Poor Customer Service: Customer service responses were extremely slow. On the first day, check-in took several hours due to delayed replies and lack of clear communication.
