- Hà Anh (4/5): I kindly request Booking.com to review this case and consider a partial refund for the poor service - Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing due to several serious issues with both the property condition and the host’s behavior.
Poor Hygiene and Unpleasant Odor:
When we arrived, the apartment was very dirty and smelled terrible—like a garbage warehouse. The floor, bathroom, and furniture were unclean, and we had to spend time cleaning the entire place ourselves before we could stay. We also had to use perfume spray to reduce the strong odor.
Discriminatory Attitude:
When we asked for an iron to prepare our work clothes, the host replied that the apartment was “rented to workers” and therefore did not provide one. This statement was disrespectful and discriminatory. Every paying guest deserves equal treatment and basic facilities, regardless of occupation.
Key Access and Lockout Problem:
Although our booking was for three people, we were only given one set of keys. This caused great inconvenience, as one person had to wait for the other to return each time. At one point, we were accidentally locked out because the key was left inside. The host charged us €50 to open the door, which is an excessive and unfair fee.
Overall, the apartment was not suitable for business travelers, as advertised. The lack of cleanliness, poor host support, and unreasonable key policy made our stay stressful and uncomfortable.
I kindly request Booking.com to review this case and consider a partial refund for the poor service quality, as well as to investigate the host’s conduct to ensure other guests do not face the same experience.
