- Leeanne (5/5): Fantastic location. Disappointed with the cleanliness. - Easy walking to Marvel Stadium and the Spencer Street Outlets. Tram stop out the front. We sanitised everything, There was toast crumbs not cleaned up, no vacuuming in the bedrooms as we found toys under the beds. Blinds were broken. No remote for TV, Shower head over the bath needs replacing. Kitchen appliances need a good clean. The balcony was filthy.
- Joshi (1/5): Worse experience by far. - Only, the very fact that it was on Collins Street. House was dirty. Kitchen wasn't clean. Appliances were dirty. There were bugs and flies because of ill hygiene. Roller blinds were broken. One bedroom had blinds completely ripped off!! Poor quality linen. It was completely worn out. Also linen and beds had lints everywhere. If you wipe your body with towel, it will cover you with lints. Communication from so called agent (third party) was very poor. Phone number given by booking. Com was going on voice mail and they never responded. When I complained about all these stuff, no response or apology even. Completely ignored us.

- Shane (3/5): Absolutely terrible. Spent our first arvo cleaning the room to get it atleast clean for our kids to play on the floor. - Location was good with a team stop right out the front. The property was absolutely filthy, bath hadn’t been cleaned for months, in and round the beds was full of dust, rubbish and smoke buts, the dish’s was dirty, kitchen was filthy and nothing had been vacuumed or mopped, we will never stay again and rate it 1/10.

No wardrobe or place to put suitcase in bedrooms. No lock on balcony door. Looked like apartment was thrown together without much thought.

Property was very dirty, seemed like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time or cleaned properly, cutlery and glasses had left over food on them where they hadn’t been cleaned from previous guest’s. Wifi didn’t work. Toilet wasn’t bolted to the ground properly so it moved when you sat on it. Was very disappointing.

- Alex (1/5): Disappointing - Disliked everything. No contact with property management I was calling and emailing them 3 days before going to stay and never heard back. Problems with collecting keys after hours. Place was very dirty, to the point that I had to go and buy cleaning products and clean it before enjoying my holiday. Rubbish in shelving and under bed, soap scum, hair and dirty bath and shower oven and kitchen draws was messy and dirty . Bed looked like it had been slept in before. Dusty to the point that someone had drawn smiling faces on the windows in it. Would never stay anyway that was hosted by propertifolio again let alone stay at this property.

Cleanliness is not in the owners vocabulary. I was told that the cleaners have an extensive check list that they need to stick to and send to the owner once completed. It is obvious that the only thing on that check list is change the sheets and replace the towels.

- Josh (10/5): Other reviews made me nervous, but accommodation was perfect - Reading other reviews made me nervous, but honestly the apartment was fantastic. The apartment was cleaned, beds were fresh and comfortable, aswel as clean towels. Keys were easy to collect and return, communication was great, all questions answered and clear instructions. Location is fantastic, and parking was simple and secure. Phone reception is quite poor and the wifi did not work. I wasn't able to have a 2nd key which would have made some days a little simpler.

Messaged owner they wanted a description. The too & fro was a waste of time during what was meant to be a holiday! I washed the linen myself. Was also falesly advertised as having a futon bed. Lots of dirty hair hanging out of vaccum sitting on washing machine. Freezer frozen over. 1 lounge blind could not be pulled down. I've never encountered a property in this state & I have booked many through booking.com. disappointing & left me unsure of trusting booking.com again. I can see multiple bad reviews on this apartment.

- Sydney (1/5): The apartment tried ruining my family's vacation, but I was resilient. - Location Only. The apartment hadn't been vacuumed for years and was very dirty and dusty. The bedcover was left over from someone who spent the night there before we arrived. I arrived with my family and a baby of 9 months in such a place, I had to buy a new vacuum cleaner and vacuum to house just for my family to breathe fresh air.

- Lauris (3/5): Making money seems more important than comfort of guests evident at this apartment - Good location. Convenient to station and trams. Comfortable beds. Good building security Poor cleanliness - dirty oven, insect infestation around bathroom door architrave, blocked drain in bathroom, dirt in corners and along floor wall edges. No lock on sliding door to balcony ( 14 th floor) old chairs stored on balcony - nightmare if children staying, broken blind on main window and no cord to roll it up. Shabby uncomfortable couch and armchair. Main bedroom small - no wardrobe or space for suitcase. Noisy aircon fan in 2 nd bedroom and unable to turn off. A few coffee bags and leftover shower gel, used bottles of shampoo and conditioner provided. Mismatched glassware and crockery and worn towels sums it up

- Erin (1/5): I left extremely exhausted because the 2 of us that shared that room could not sleep due to the blind falling down. i - the location the blind in our bedroom fell down soon after we arrived. I tried to call the number for emergencies and let a msg, then I messaged on here and there was no contact from anyone. so we had to spend the night with no blind in the bedroom, I barely slept from the bright lights shining in from other buildings. the blind was broken, not through any fault of our own, it was like that when we arrived.

- Tiffany (2/5): Old, run down apartment that was not clean at all, but in a great location. Not worth the money. - The location was great. The place was not cleaned either properly or at all. It was tired and run down, with loose and broken floor tiles, a broken oven door and a tiny fridge that was not clean, was not like the big fridge in the pictures, and the freezer part was so clogged with ice it was unuseable. We were only given one set of keys for a family of four (including two independent teenagers) - despite our request for a second set - which was unmanageable. There were other issues, too numerous.

Location was good The room was filthy, beds werent made properly, couldnt do much with the kitchen but the main thing that not only upset me but would probably have the place shut down was the sliding door to the balcony on the 14th floor couldnt be latched let alone locked! Doesnt make for a relaxing stay when you have your 4 yr old daughter there. When i raised the door and cleanliness to the owners it was dismissed and they didnt seem to care

Flight from WA was delayed and staff inside key collection office would not help even though we arrived at 1 minute before the office closed. Close to shops and food. Quiet apartment. Couldn't here the outside street noise. Apartment is a little run down. The bedroom temporary curtain kept falling down. It was advertised the there was free wifi. The data was used up. No information was provided about the buildings amenities. The coffee pods provided where incorrect for the machine.

* 1 room key for apartment & 1 fob for lift/main entry, not good enough when travelling with any more than 1 person.. if one wanted to go to the pool, everyone else was stuck in the room.
* mouldy pillow cases and beds coverings that were absolutely disgusting!
* air conditioning units blowing into rooms looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for years
*wifi - max amount of devices 3, 1 of which was the tv!
* crockery - not enough dinner plates for the whole family to eat.
* 2 wine glasses, 1 small & 1 massive
* carpet joining to bathroom has all pulled back so you often stand on the sharp nails - smooth edge

owners have listened to the reviews and definitely upped the cleanliness of the place. however, i think some reviewers are mixing up “dirty” with “loved” or “tired”. nothing wrong with the actual cleanliness of the room at all. no lock on the balcony door - not that we were concerned about someone climbing up, but piece of mind in an unfamiliar place is always nice.

Sofas were uncomfortable, carpets stained, dirty tiled walls in bathroom, Large windows/sliding doors to balcony not cleaned properly, dirty smears on splashback in kitchenette, small bar fridge instead of full-size fridge (as in pictures) no can opener or bowls for cooking. The double bed was in a tiny room and the 2 single beds were in a large room leading into ensuite!

- Nadia (4/5): Our stay in Melbourne was lovely, but the accommodation was disappointing, but in a great location. - The location was great. Having trouble getting our keys to get into the property. Walking into a place that wasn't clean. No clothes rack to put washing on. Not all lights were working. Fittings in bathroom were loose.
- Karenjean (1/5): Great location but huge power issues - The location was excellent Not having any power 90% of the stay, constant tripping out if you boiled the kettle or had 2 lights on at the same time. Couldn’t turn the power back on from the main Switch board, owner demanding for me to return the keys to allow the electrician access when I was 2 x hours outside of Melbourne on a pre planned trip then blaming me for not allowing access, I would expect there would be a Master key held for this situation. Then the owner tells me there is nothing wrong with the power which is rubbish as they would of had to turn the power on from the main switch board which would not be the case if there wasn’t a problem in the first place. It ruined our 3 day experience in Melbourne

- Beng (3/5): Poor - The location is excellent. 1. Key pick up - Afterhours key pick-up wasn't sent out at 1755hr and afterhours is from 1800hr onwards.
2. Communication - It should be concise. After-hours key pick-up and drop-off should be in the main communication.
3. Inaccurate information - Parking was advertised but booking for parking was not communicated. It was only communicated that parking was not available on the day of arrival.
4. Wifi - Donwload speed of ~3Mb/s. Could not even allow one to work seamlessly.
5. Cleanliness - Please verify whether the cleanling was done to a satisfactory level post check-out. We found hairball in the master bedroom and hair on the bed in the second room.

- Dunning (5/5): Passable - Location was great The lack of cleanliness, the pillows smelt, there was hair on the bed from someone else. The floors were filthy and hadn't been vaccummed in ages, there was dust piles around the skirting boards.
It was exceptionally hard to find, for someone who isn't from Melbourne some directions when confirmed booki given would be good. Parking was not included and I wasn't aware that I had to book it until it was too late.

It does not appear anyone had done a thorough vacuum in sometime. Glass tables were not cleaned.

Shame as a great apartment

- Jane (7/5): It was ok, but probably wouldn't go back. - Location was fine, it would have been very difficult to collect the keys if I was a solo traveller.
There were ice blocks in the freezer!! Yay! Overall the rooms were a little tired and needed things to be fixed, like in the bathroom the towel rail was not secured on the wall, the same with the toilet roll holder, the plug for the bath isn't the right size, so no useful bath. In the kitchen it was very difficult to reach the tall cupboards and the crockery and cutlery were minimal.

Property dirty and judging by the dust and dirty cook top, oven, microwave and freezer the flat has not been cleaned properly for weeks. Cupboards dirty, carpet edges dirty (empty coke bottle behind couch), no cleaning items. No WiFi, despite numerous attempts to get the host to get it sorted. The host kept saying it was our fault we couldn't work it, and then admitted the dongal needed topping up, but still didn't work.

We had to purchase washing cloths, spray and wipe, dishwashing liquid & hand soap. Empty coffee jar & one tea bag. No kitchen knives, only one steak knife. Ironing board with no cover.

- Margaret (1/5): Just awful - nothing Gave 3 different details for gaining keys - keys will be at a shop in spencer street, keys will be at the 7Eleven in spencer street - keys will be in a locked box. Took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to eventually get the keys. They did not gve details on how to find the car park - so another 20 minutes waiting on them getting back to me while i sat in congested traffic waiting. Eventually when I got to the car park - the fob didnt work - however, 3 cars parked behind us so we couldnt reverse out of the entrance. One other driver let us in. Got to the car park level, fob worked in the lift to get us to the 14th floor, however it didnt take us back to the 6th floor to get more things from the car. I had to get out at the bottom and then run around 6 levels in the car park to get back to the car (twice). The trouble of gaining access and the car park meant that we as a family was then 1 hour late for an expensive concert. I have images of the sheets which looked to have smudged poo and on the doona, blood stains. The mugs had hairs in them, so we didnt use anything there. I had to leave before 9am to get my son back to his sports day at school, however, after running up the car park levels again, the fob would not let us out. Waiting 20 minutes for someone to drive up behind us and kindly let us out. I then did exactly what the owners said and put the key back EXACTLY where you picked it up from, so I went back to the locked box, put in the code and put the key in. Then left to return my son to school late for his sports day.
The owners couldnt locate the key and send me a message via Booking.com and I tried to respond but they had blocked me as I stated i would write this review. One week later they have been harassing me by phone and text to locate the key. I have responded with all the information and have not treated them with the disrespect I have been treated.

After a 5 hour drive patience thin, bladder full going to closest 7Eleven to pick up keys find it was the one opposite their office 😡 Finally have keys, find the garage entrance and fob doesn’t work - no phone contact after hours so called Booking.com. John made the long trip in to give us a fob that worked but the fact that they knew the one we had sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t didn’t make us happy. The dining chairs have broken backs. The skirting board is filthy. There is no WiFi even though they advertise that it is available. Then on top of all that for the price we paid they expect guests to do half the work for housekeeping 😡 Location worked for what we needed but don’t expect to ever re-book!!

Access to variety of trams was helpful. Set up of two bedrooms was great. Smart TV was great for the grandkids. Nothing serious, just a lot of small things. Our granddaughter has asthma so we are careful about dust. A few areas had not seen a duster for a while. Some fittings need attention - nothing a handyman couldn't sort out in a couple of hours. Couldn't access wifi, even with details from hosts.
