Guest Reviews
- Prezioso (7/5): Good for short stay - Very small but comfortable, good shower and good mattress The position is quite far from the metro station acton town, the inside temperature is quite hot, there are many moisture chains on the ceiling, in the bathroom holes in the wall fixed with toilet paper
- Laura (6/5): Pleasant - Good location, near to the station by bus right outside apartment
Lots of shops close by
- Sophie (2/5): Wouldn’t stay again - Looked nice initially, until you looked closer at things I didn’t get the room that was advertised for a start. A lot of the facilities that were listed/photographed were not included such as tea/coffee etc. The kitchen tap was pretty much about to fall off. There were hairs on the bed sheets and in the bathroom, overall it wasn’t especially clean if you looked around. Curtains were thinner than paper so had street lights glaring in all night. Also the fridge was really loud so had to wear earplugs to try sleep. The cutlery wasn’t clean, and there were no drinking glasses/cups available. No toilet roll holder in the bathroom, later found it under the kitchen sink(!?). These were just the pretty standard things you expect, especially as they listed many facilities that weren’t available.
- Kenichi (1/5): You should never make a reservation. - You can experience the prison atmosphere The room was completely different from what was stated at the time of booking. 30m2 → 10m2, washing machine → not included. You can hear the voices from the next room. I arrived late at night so I can't change to another accommodation. I contacted the landlord but there was no reply. I didn't hear anything after I checked out. I contacted Booking.com but they said they didn't know what to do and that if I wanted to change accommodation I would have to do it all myself. I asked for a refund and they said they would contact me within 9 hours but they didn't contact me either.
- Baycityshandy (7/5): Good - Quiet location but still easy to get public transport. Bus stop is right above the hotel and lot of restaurants around.
Comfortable bed. Excellent shower: enough pressure and hot water. Lack of kitchen utensils. No knives or spatula.
TV was located very inconvenient place top of the microwave. No channels, only netflix etc.
- Charles (8/5): Very good -
- Varsha (7/5): Good -
- Kobe (6/5): Pleasant - Location Photos and description was not very accurate of the room
- Digi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (8/5): Very good -
- Leona (9/5): Host was amazing for communication, location was fantastic, property was lovey, comfortable and clea - The location was amazing, was about a minute walk from the tube station, lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance of the property The only recommendation I’d give is to maybe have extra pillows on the bed
- Isabelle (9/5): A very nice and comfortable stay in a good location - The facilities were excellent and modern, it was very comfortable, and the location was great - just 5 a minute walk from the train station and on the main road. The design of the room was nice and elegant, and I liked that there was a minifridge, microwave, and kettle in the room, as well as washing up supplies, and shower products. There are supermarkets, takeaways, and small restaurants and cafes nearby. The only issues were that my room wasn't the same as the photos - but still very nice. Also, there wasn't any tea/coffee provided, so bring your own if you'd like to make tea with the kettle. The TV didn't have channels, just a menu with streaming sites, and you'd have to log into your own accounts on Netflix, Prime, Iplayer, etc, if you'd like to watch the TV.
- Misha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Krasniqi (5/5): Passable -
- Martin (7/5): Decent stay for cheap - The room was fine and clean. The bed was comfortable and all the facilities were there. There was an absence of plug points, with two of them hidden behind the bed. Also, due to the location of the room on the upper floor, it was extremely hot during my stay with no air con or fan provided
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ikrom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (8/5): Great value for money, great location. Very clean and all amenities needed provided - Loved the location, close to tube and local facilities
Really comfy bed and bedding
Great shower and complementary shampoo a bonus A mirror on the wall between the windows above the plug sockets would be useful for using hairdryer/ straighteners.
A more solid door security chain on the inside door would be preferable
- Iulian (7/5): Good -
- Martin (8/5): A "very good" room which could easily have been "superb" - Spotlessly clean, good sized room with opening windows and efficient radiators. There was a large, very comfortable bed with good quality bed linen. The room had a pleasant en-suite bathroom with a good shower, a reasonably-sized basin and a toilet. The room was equpped with a kettle, microwave, refrigerator, sink and television at one end of the room opposite the bed. This "kitchen area" is not differentiated from the rest of the room in any way, but as the refrigerator is pretty quiet this was not a problem. There was an enclosed wardrobe for hanging garments, and one bedside chest of drawers for folded garments. There is also a mid-sized work/dining table and two fold-out chairs in the room large enough for dining or for working with a laptop. Within the multiple cupboards in the kitchen area there was sufficient crockery and cutlery for two people, and this was clean and undamaged. The property is a few hundred yards from Acton Central railway station (London Overground) and there are multiple restaurants, supermarkets and independent shops nearby. The property is sited on a very busy road and looks pretty run-down from the outside, so the cleanliness, and modernity of the interior came as a very pleasant surprise. Road-noise during the day and evening could be an issue if the windows are open, but the road does become reasonably quiet at night. The room has a number of power-points, (two of which include USB sockets), but these are somewhat oddly located (more below). The TV did suggest it had access to a number of streaming services (including Netflix and Amazon Prime), but I only used services from the major television networks (iPlayer, etc.). Although there was a kettle, there was no tea/coffee/sugar/milk supplies (not a big issue for me as I always carry my own supply of decaffeinated coffee and do not use milk or sugar). There was a washing-up cloth and washing up liquid, but no draining rack, draining board or tea towels supplied, and so nowhere that was ideal to put the wet dishes. The sink contained neither a washing up bowl or closeable plug, so washing up had to be performed using running water. The power-points were oddly sited. The double socket (with USB socket) near the kettle was sensibly located but the rest less so. There is only a single socket near the television and microwave and each of those appliances has a short cable so only one can be plugged in at a time. The refrigerator is plugs in to a two-socket extension lead, which is also the nearest socket to the table, so if working at the table, it is neccessary to trail the cables across the floor (along the wall, so not a trip hazard). There is a double socket (with USB) high on the wall opposite the windows, but this is not very close to the bed, so a long charging cable is necessary. There are no sockets located close to the bed. There was no live television. The television set, this is not cabled to an arial and so only connects via WiFi, and so only streaming services such as iPlayer, ITVx etc. are available. When I arrived the default language for the TV was Spanish making configuring the set somewhat difficult. Once I had managed to reconfigure the set and connect it to the WiFi, it worked well, had a good picture and was fully controllable from the handset.
The wardrobe had very limited hanging space as much of it was filled with a large fan. This should be stored elsewhere in winter as it is unlikely a fan would be needed then. Small, low-cost solutions to the problems exist (bowl/plug for the sink, tea towel/draining rack, tea bags/coffee sachets and possibly a four-socket extension cable).
- Florina (9/5): Superb -
- Hassan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mark (8/5): Good - location noise from the road
- Anil (8/5): Very good -
- Roberta (5/5): Passable -
- Tania (10/5): Excellent. I would recommend and I will return. - The studio was so clean and it had everything a little details on touches to make you feel at home. Nothing
- Trevor (8/5): Fair value. Same price as a Travelodge. I’d go to a Travelodge next time. - Despite being on the main road the studio flat was quiet. It had its own well-fitted bathroom and small kitchen area. The chaise long/sofa was hemmed in by the coffee table and TV wasn’t watchable as it only offered streaming services and I’m never comfortable logging in and random places - so nothing to watch.
I really dislike to smell of weed in a hotel setting so that emanating from another room wasn’t great.
The hallway and porticoed entrance off the High Street didn’t inspire safety.
- Sarah (8/5): Clean, compact and easy - Really close to the train station, compact and all you need for a couple of nights. They provided a fan which was much appreciated. The light from the street was very bright and there was a lot of noise. Take ear plugs and an eye mask.
- Richard (8/5): Great place to stay for a night or 2 if you’re visiting the local area. - Easy to find and access. Immaculately clean and tidy. Felt secure. Good decoration and to a high standard throughout. Everything I needed for the stay was present. Very noisy high street but that’s no fault of the property. Also there was some cutlery in the cupboards, but no forks. Didn’t impact myself as I went out for dinner.
- Marvin (10/5): It was perfect - It was in a very convenient location. Plus looked forward to going back every evening after work. That I had to leave
- Bartosz (6/5): Misadvertisement - It was clean and cosy It is not a one bedroom apartment. It is not even a studio apartment. It is a well equipped, ensuite, large double bedroom.
There were pans to cook with but no kitchen in the entire building.
Very noisy as next to a busy road and right next to a bus stop
- Wendy (9/5): Excellent property - Excellent property, great security and very clean. Wi-Fi and TV was not working
- Jade (6/5): it was ok - we liked the lay out of the room.
we thought we’d have the room that was advertised in the picture so we were quite disappointed at that initially. The area is pretty rough at night. we encountered a few undesirables on our way back to the room in the late hours.
it was a hot day and night and the air flow wasn’t very good.
There were ants crawling on the floor in the bathroom and we found long straight hairs in the shower.
- Alessandro (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Comfortable stay at an affordable price - Clean, well organised, thoughtful Would have been nice to have block out curtains. The noise plus light made it a bit difficult to have a decent sleep.
- Stephenie (10/5): lovely - the decor
- Luana (10/5): if u need go to London haven’t better place - isn’t my first time there, always when I go to London I be there. everything is fabulous, zero complaints or minor changes
- Joshua (8/5): Very good -
- Diane (7/5): Good -
- Luana (10/5): amazing place - is big and you have everything there N/A
- Seddon (5/5): Close to overland train station and bus services. Plastic chair and oddly positioned chaise lounge. - There was no breakfast option, it was room only. No cold water supply to the sink in the kitchen area for kettle filling (two small plastic bottles of water were provided).
The chaise lounge shown in your photo posted above prevented the wardrobe door from opening sufficiently to use it. Only three wooden hangers provided.
A hook on the bathroom door would be useful for hanging clothes when showering.
An additional lock or door catch on the inside of the room door would make for a greater feeling of safety. The key code would be known to previous occupants and may not be changed between lettings.
- Carla (6/5): Pleasant - The bed was comfortable and it had a good location in terms of being close to bus stops and metro. The shower was good, too. The place was a bit noisy and it didnt have some essentials or maybe the things offered were missing certain details. For example, it had a washing machine but no soap, or ir had a kitchen but did not have a table when the description said it did. I had asked to arrive a bit earlier and they confirmed my request and then denied it. In the end I had a good stay in general, but it had many things to improve.
- Jolein (6/5): Good but only if you can stand noise - The room was cozy and had a lot of facilities. The apartment complex is kinda noisy. Can hear upstairs walking around when they have shoes on. Most uncomfortable thing was upstairs having their washing machine on at 2.30 AM and waking up from centrifuge… Also found a washcloth from the previous guest.
- Reem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karan (10/5): Very nice stay! - The whole studio clean, tidy and everything was very comfortable. No suitable parking within immediate vicinity, 10-15 minute walk.
- Richard (10/5): Home comfort in perfect location - Big room with everything needed - the bedding even smelt fresh - quiet and comfy just like being at home Not much tbh
