• Matthijs (7/5): Good - Nice big bathroom, the room itself was nice, at night quiet enough The neighbourhood is kind of sketchy, especially having to walk a bit from the train station is not the most pleasant thing to do.
• Pietro (1/5): Terrible experience - The bathroom and the shower were spacious, the view of the church from the window was great First, the tram line was under construction, but the description didn't mention it and the host even wrote in a message that I could arrive by tram. Then, the fact that the private bathroom is separate from the room and to reach it you have to cross the shared space was not mentioned. Lastly, the worst problem was that the whole building had an unpleasant smell, and the bed in particular smelled awfully, like it had not been washed properly (mattress, sheets, pillows all had this smell). Even though there were some upsides about this b&b like the ones mentioned above, this fact made our stay really terrible and unpleasant.
• May (1/5): Bad - Waited outside hotel for 1.5 hours without keys to go in. Because cleaner misplaced our keys. Owner asked us to book nearby hotel and mentioned he will cover price differences. It cost ~300SGD. Emailed him and remind multiple time and owner no reply for 1 week. Attached screenshot chat with owner. Pls dont book thjs hotel. Neighbour also complain a lot people suffer from this. Booking.com should remove this from their website. Very bad experience. Book at ur own risk....

• Ilyas (1/5): Below expectations - Not recommended. The neighborhood felt unsafe and unpleasant. Even though I messaged a few hours before arrival, we only received the check-in instructions while waiting in front of the door. The building is basically a multi-story house with very narrow stairs, and they seem to be renting out the rooms individually. There was a shared kitchen downstairs, and the bathroom was located outside the room, across the hallway in the common area. While we were leaving, we saw another couple waiting outside—they also hadn’t received instructions and were locked out. When we returned later that evening, we didn’t feel safe walking through the neighborhood, and someone was sitting right in front of the door. Guess what—another guest who hadn’t received check-in instructions.
• Petra (5/5): Acceptable for a short business trip but not enjoyable because of the nights. - It is in walking distance from the Brussels North Station and from the city center. The Botanical garden is also close. The room and the barthroom were clean. A kitchen is available with all the facilities. Wifi, TV. Bed is fine. It is situated at the busy street, very noisy when the windows are open. Room is very small, only bed and tiny desk, and thus it does not feel good to have the windows closed whole night. Hand soap was not available. Note that the building has very narrow (about 50 cm wide), steep staircase, no lift. No staff is present, the keys are located in the masterlock next to the main door. The host promised to send the masterlock code an hour before my indicated arrival, but at the end he did not do so. I had to call - in vain, only answering machine. Then I checked all the messages I received through Booking and noted that the host mentioned Whatsup for communication. After sending Whatsup message, I received the reply, that the code would be sent by via Booking messages. Finally, it worked but it was not very pleasant.

• Geert (6/5): Simple appartment in Brussels - Small appartment, with good bed and wifi. Private bathroom was on public hall. Very narrow and steep stairs, hard to carry luggage. The young men in appartment below me made a lot of noise late evening/ night.

• Robbert (8/5): Nice, but some things to keep in mind. - The view of the cathedral is quite nice, staff is very friendly, place works well in a pinch. Clean and easy instructions to get in. Its in a pretty sketchy part of town, and the road is quite loud until late at night.

Great view out of window of church. I was working at congress centre which was a 15min tram journey max to the parc then a short walk to congress centre. Tram stops very close to studio. It would of been nice to be able to hang up a suit and couple of shirts? Bedroom ceiling light just hanging out of ceiling. All easy to fix.

• Alberto (4/5): Ok but could be better - The location was Ok, as it was not far from things and there was public transportation nearby. However, the room should be more clean, specially the bed. The bedsheets still had some hair from other people and we found some toilet paper under the mattress. Other than that, it was Ok.

There's no staff on site and the keys are accessed via lockbox, which the the same for all rooms, this way it can happen that keys are missing, because they were accidentally taken by somebody else. The room is actually two rooms and accessing a room's bathroom is via the communal staircase.

Narrow staircase (just 48cms) - it's so pathetically built, very difficult for people with check-in baggages. No heating in the room (owner claimed there was a remote to control the heating, but it didn't work as expected). No wardrobe in the bedroom. You hear road noise in the room.

• Diana (8/5): It’s okay to stay for one night here - Very close to the North station and not far from the central part of the city. The view from a window is astonishing! The room and the bathroom are very new. It’s great to have AC and TV in the room. The bed is very comfortable. It is impossible to sleep there without earplugs as the walls are so thin that you can hear every tram and car passing through the streets. The smell from the kitchen is unpleasant as well as the smell of the bed lining. The WiFi password wasn’t correct. It would be great to have a wardrobe not in the bathroom but in the room. Very weird division between the room and the bathroom which is not very convenient.

• Iryna (9/5): a unique chance to rent a whole floor - 20-25 minutes walk to the centre. comfortable accommodation. I could not find the wifi password in the room, but it was sent quickly. the view of the beautiful cathedral. despite the fact that the tram runs under the house it was quiet enough and I was able to relax. It is not very convenient that the large shower cubicle and toilet are on the other side of the stairwell, but as you rent a whole floor (the house is 2 windows wide) it is not a big problem.
• Galina (5/5): Would not recommend - Location is easy to reach, self-check in is simple. Good kitchen. The place is very noisy. Just cathedral would be tolerable, but there is also a tram line right in front, and cars make a lot of noise too. Even with closed windows and earplugs it is hard to get rest. Communication with the host is disappointing. The wifi password changed since welcome list was printed, and it was updated by hand. We didn't manage to understand what's written, and received no answer in chat even during the next day. We also had only one towel for two people and it didn't make sense to try to write about it to a silent chat. Messages around the house are not friendly too. They promise to charge for floor damage instead of fixing the fact that the shower is higher than the floor and has no barrier, and even ask to dry kitchen sink to "avoid limestone marks". Limestone marks are too easy to clean for such messages.

• Seher (9/5): Tekrar geleceğim - We received our key without any problems. Our room was clean and ready. There was even Netflix available. The kitchen area was equipped and clean. The materials were of good quality. There was iron and washing machine facilities which was great for us. The location had a view beyond our expectations. We planned to come again. • Caleb (6/5): Comfortable stay, but know these details! - The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious, and the kitchen came with access to a coffee maker/fridge/oven. The tram/bus was just down the street too, making transport easy. I enjoyed the cat! It mostly felt private since we never saw anyone during our stay-- only heard a little bit of movement. The bathroom and bedroom were separate (technically across the hall, but the hall is just the staircase landing). The only way to lock the door was by inserting the key! This made going back and forth between the bathroom and bedroom, or even just sharing the place as a couple, difficult because someone was always without the key and thus without a way to lock the door. The stairs are very narrow and the kitchen table is a small one with barstools. Also, if arriving by train, you have to traverse the red light district-- heading from Brussels-North station to the house, you have to walk streets that are dirty, feel very dangerous, and are filled with people doing drugs. Once you actually arrive at the hotel, you feel better, but I wish I had known more about the location. I also thought I'd be able to access the laundry room, but no (you could pay for staff to take your laundry, though).
• Florde (8/5): Very good - the hotel is around 1km away from the Brussel North train station, which makes it very convenient, the tram/bus station across it is a big plus, and also the Church which is just across the hôte, is also a Plus… the bathroom is big, and although it’s not inside the room, it’s just across from our room, like 3-steps away from it, and it’s only for us, so I was not bothered at all about it… I was surprised by the cat like multiple times, because it standing outside our room and it went inside our room, but its very friendly
• Maria (9/5): Nice and cosy - Everything was very clean, the cat in the building is very friendly and cuddly. The bathroom, very big and with a nice shower, was one step out of the room, so it felt like it was inside. There was also airco in the room :) The curtains don’t really cover the light in the morning. It’s quite noisy outside, but the windows isolate the noise.

• Marina (9/5): Superb - The room and the bathroom were very clean and had towels, a hair dryer and even shampoo. The city centre is easily accessible by tram and the stations are nearby. I really love animals and especially cats but the owner's cat was waking us in the middle of the night and it was meowing in front of the door and scratching at them. We were extremely tired from our trip and also walking the whole day, needed some peace and quiet so this was a minus. It would be necessary that the owner states those things beforehand.
• Alby (8/5): I will stay there again if I visit. - The tram station was right across from the apt making it easy to commute to the city center or the subway. Look out for no:18 and the green door. I was looking out for the name.There isn't any. It had a kitchen if you need a quick meal or a hot drink . The spacious room and bathroom looked new and clean.

• Eric (9/5): Great communication, huge bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and a funny cat :) Almost perfect! - Easy 20/25min walk into the centre. Small shops all around. Friendly people speaking all sorts of languages. The room has all you need. The bathroom is very large with a nice shower. Bonus: The cat is cute and playfull. Friendly and helpful host. Busy street. Tricky to find parking. Very narrow stairs.
• Piotr (7/5): A really nice place to stay! - We stayed only for a night but we loved the vibe. A very nice and clean bathroom, a splendid view and a comfy bed. We loved the cat that greeted us 😂 we didn't meet the host but he seemed perfectly nice through the messages! I'm not sure if there's a Wi-fi. If so, we didn't find a password (not much of a problem for us). The neighbourhood is quite noisy, it can be a problem for some.

• Asitha (7/5): Good for a short stay - Rooms were new. Really big bathroom with walk in shower. Very close to the tram and bus. Lot of shops around. A very friendly and chonky cat were visiting us from time to time. Owner were fast to reply to our messages. Wifi sucked so bad. Couldn’t even use google. Rooms cannot be locked without the key even the bathroom which is separate from the room. Lot of stuff in the shared kitchen but wasn’t sure which to use as they seemed like owner’s day to day things.

• Ralitsa (7/5): Good - The location was great. The room and the bathroom were clean and cozy, with maintained furniture. The view was awesome. The whole apartment seemed to be new. The check in was late in the day- 4p.m. The communication with the owner was very difficult. They didn’t answer the phone. We could communicate only by emails. The information given for the lockbox, the rules, the check out and so on, were a little bit messy. We didn’t have the chance to left our luggage somewhere in the building nor before the check in, nor after the check out. IMPORTANT: There is a cat living in the apartment and we weren’t informed for that in advance. She is nice at least 😊
