Told us that they only take 2-night bookings
I have not received a refund and told me it's my problem to sort out with booking.com

- Allison (1/5): - The area The home was very outdated. Needs alot of work on the building. ESPECIALLY THE TOILET AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT.
- Ben (8/5): A comfortable stay in amongst incredible rainforest - Beautiful location, lovely timber home tucked away in the rainforest. Had all we needed for a comfortable 3 night stay - spacious, functional, clean. A couple of very, very minor issues such as sticky doors and temperamental light switches. Just made it a little difficult with a baby making noise in the night when we couldn’t close the bedroom doors.
- Renjie (7/5): -
- Miguel (8/5): Great cabin to relax and enjoy nature. Very close to hiking paths. - A lot of space, great surroundings, very quiet
- Jimmy (1/5): Terrible - There is nothing they did close to well. They’ve double booked the cabin and just sent out messages roughly an hour before we’re heading to them. It’s an absolute mess and I have to book another place for almost doubled price.
- William (8/5): - It was very close to the trail heads of the National Park. A house with a lot of character that seemed to be built by a skilled craftsman.
- Victor (8/5): Relaxing - The house vibe I understand is rustic but a pressure wash on the outside would go a long way.
- Grant (2/5): booked 2 nights.stayed 1 - bathroom and shower was okay ceiling leaking onto a bed. leaches in the living area. filthy floor. cockroach in the freezer
- Tanya (10/5): Nice retreat! - Our host was so accommodating. We really needed to arrive an hour earlier and this was kindly accommodated! A very charming stay. Loved the little touches - The presentation of the toilet paper with the stamp type finish. All cutlery and appliances really good!
- Catherine (1/5): Disgraceful - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
The property was totally misrepresented, the only thing that was private was the driveway, we had two tiny homes with families living in them in very close proximity. The place was filthy with animal droppings on the floors, hair in my bed, poisonous plants in the parking spot - checkout Gympie Gympie and you’ll no what I’m talking about. Lights that wouldn’t turn off and glowed. The verandah railings were rotten with danger tape holding it together There was a small fenced yard for our exclusive use, problem was we couldn’t access it as the staircase was rotten with danger tape on it
No tea or coffee or toiletries provided. Absolutely disgraceful. We would have left but it is an isolated area and we had no knowledge of where else to go too and had poor service so couldn’t call booking.com It was abhorrent , I’d add more photos but I can only add 4.
- michael (8/5): In the middle of nature - We enjoyed the house and its quaint atmosphere. We were surrounded by nature which is what we wanted. We had an issue with water but it got fixed quickly and the owner gave us a discount for the inconvenience.
I would like to go there again.
- Sonja (8/5): It was a nice and quiet and relaxing - It was nice and quiet Some power points didn’t work and the remote for the tv didn’t have batteries
- Geetu (9/5): -
- LINDA (9/5): -
- Yvette (9/5): Perfect place to get away from it all - Awesome stay, thank you, o the tree house vibe. Wouldn’t have changed a thing.
- Kerstin (10/5): - Absolut traumhaft eingerichtet! -
- Anne (10/5): Rustic house to enjoy the beauty of the Lamington Park - The location is lovely. The space is good for a group in our family. The outside deck was lovely to have breakfast in the morning when it was a little bit warmer. The sink was blocked. A few light bulbs and an assessment of the cooking equipment would be good.
- Claire Widdicombe (10/5): - Beautiful little house. Great communication with host.
- Belinda (7/5): Good -
- Melissa (1/5): Where is my reimbursement!!!!! Because if it was the other way I would have lost all my money!!! - They cancelled the night before less than 23 hours I was going to the property!!!!!!. Because of a cyclone that happened in march!! 3 months prior. Absolutely no notification They had 3 months!!!!
This property was booked last July 2024. So much time for notification!!!! So angry. So frustrating. Completely ridiculous and unacceptable Absolutely nothing
I purchased insurance!! Because I’m paranoid about uncertainty!!! And they canceled when I’m standing 1.5 hours away with a suitcase. Calling for another accommodation!!!!! Absolutely furious
If I canceled on them less than 24hours prior I would have lost all my money!!! And I’m out double because I needed to attend a wedding I flew to the Gold Coast for!!!
Furious and fuming!!!!!
- Liz (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything wasn't told until the day of our trip was cancelled
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bob (10/5): Jinwhi is a great base for exploring the Beechmont-Binna Burra area. I'll definitely return for another stay. - While it's an older building and the outside looks a little rough, the interior is spacious and well appointed. The furnishings including the main bed are very comfortable. It was a pleasure to
hear the rain on the roof and the rustling of leaves in the wind. The bushland location is just a few kilometres from Binna Burra and the network of trails in the national park. There's not a thing that I didn't like about the property. The very minor inconveniences like older light switches are trivial compared to its positive attributes.
- Amanda (7/5): Good - Quiet peaceful location. Lots of room & dog friendly. Needs a thorough clean. The water was discoloured.
- Jesse (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (7/5): My kids and our friends really loved the uniqueness. - It was rustic and full of charm as we had expected. Nice to stay somewhere with some character. There was even a view of the Gold Coast we had not expected. There were some cobwebs and dust around but it was clean really. Kitchen, bedrooms, floors, bathroom were all lovely. We brought our own bottled water so we didn’t worry about the tank water.
- Grandma (4/5): Not impressed - The house had potential and the beds were comfortable, and if the house would have been good the surroundings were lovely. The house was not cleaned properly, cobs webs, dirty windows, floors under all beds not vacuumed, blinds broken in both rooms, kitchen sink clogged first time we wanted to use it, barely hot water in the shower, no tea, coffee or little milk, no instructions to use the stove, back door broken and didn’t lock, back room smelled badly of mould and droppings from not sure what animal in the little draws, draws upstairs would not close, half the lights didn’t work and even if we did like it there were men outside working and making noise most of the day, for the price not happy Jan.
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): A very pleasent enjoyable adventurous stay - A little daunting from the outside but lovely and thoughtfully furnished inside It was cold and no heating
- Philip (7/5): Good -
- Yuuri (8/5): Very good - Quiet, lots of birds in the yard. Close to the park. I enjoyed it because I love nature. Some people say the cobwebs are disappointing, but I felt at home, like I was at my grandparents' house in the country. It was cold, but in the spring it was warm with a comforter. There are plenty of cooking utensils, so if you bring your own food, you won't have any trouble. The showers are warm. I would stay there again if I come back to the area. Water is brown. But not that big a deal.
- Lilian (4/5): Brown ish salty water to brush teeth and shower - Only 10 min drive to Binna Burra.
Mobile phone chargers available.
Wi-fi works fine. I was shocked with the colour of the water. The water had a brown / red ish colour and tasted salty. The host said it can be stained at times because of the leafs in the water tank, but she only told us about it after the cancellation free period was over. It wasn’t only at times, it was the whole time we stayed there for 2 nights. To brush teeth and shower with that water was terrible. Even the filtered “drinking” water from the kitchen was brown. They should’ve put that information in the description. Some essentials like soap, salt & pepper, napkin, tea bag and instant coffee were not included (there was only a sachet of coffee & milk caramel flavour. A basic non flavoured option would’ve been better). The double bed felt too small for a couple. It’s overpriced for what is being offered. Will not come back again.
- Jenny (8/5): Was a lovely little house - Beautiful spot and cute house It was very cold and no heaters, ( and it was September , so wouldn’t want to stay in the middle of winter) did have lots of blankets.
- Elizabeth (6/5): Especially good for a budget family holiday! Not luxury, but comfortable and beautiful nature. - The house is in a beautiful location and has a lovely rustic charm. Nicole was easy to communicate with and check in was simple. The nearby walking tracks are stunning and about 10 minutes drive away. There are some nice cafes within driving distance. The house itself has a really great cabin vibe and beautiful afternoon light. We found it had a really friendly energy and enjoyed hanging out and playing board games. Amazing sunsets and lots of gorgeous wild life like paddy melons and king parrots spotted from the balcony. Wifi worked throughout our stay. The house has no heating and was quite cold especially at night. Given there is a full kitchen it would be nice if some basic cooking supplies such as oil were provided as this made cooking difficult on the first night we were there. There was not enough toilet paper provided for our stay. The property does feel quite run down and like it could use a little love, especially the balcony and yard. The water and electrics also felt a little wonky, flickering lights and not very hot water. It was awesome that there was a fenced area which made it super dog friendly, but it was very overgrown and we found lots of ticks on our dogs and ourselves while we were there (ticks are common in this area and important to be aware of - this could definitely be mentioned by hosts prior to arrival). Although wifi worked on our devices it was patchy when trying to stream movies onto the google home.
- John (6/5): Pleasant -
- 敏慧 (9/5): We are pleased ! 🥰 - Love the decoration and design in the house ! Too cold in the winter 🤣
- Craig1982 (9/5): Superb - A lovely rustic cabin in the woods - just what we needed to get away from the city and disconnect for a few days.
- Kristian (7/5): Family trip - Great location - 7 mins drive to Binna Burra and quiet. Very good value. Extremely comfy beds and linen; extra blankets were nice. Good communication from hosts. The board games and children's toys were handy and made the nights enjoyable. Kangaroos and wildlife close by. Nice balcony to sit on. Internet worked reasonably well for the stay. Overall, cute, quirky and well priced. Cold on a rainy winters evening; some form of heating would have helped here. The screen casting was temperamental and did not work well for us when connecting our devices to the t.v. A good place, though some additional touches could get it to level-up.
- Anthony (7/5): Good - Great location, lovely place to stay. Would definitely stay again but would bring more things with me. Including a heater. Very cold, no heating at all. Missing some basics like soap and tea bags. But other things were unexpectedly provided.
- Nikhil (7/5): Quite cheap for one nights stay but wouldn't pay to stay again - Plenty of sleeping space for a family of 6. The cabin was reasonably spaced. Outdoor sitting area had a nice setup. The cabin wasn't clean, there was a lot of cobwebs and dust inside the rooms and also on the furniture of the outside sitting area. Beds were quite uncomfortable to sleep on. Had a little spooky vibe to the house at night. Not so easy access to the shops as the closest grocery store IGA is 20 mins away.
