- Kamal (8/5): Perfect family gateway in a tranquil location - Nice property located in a tranquil place. You've got a slice of a bush on your own. Big alfresco for lunch/dinner outdoors. Plenty of rooms for a family as well as big open lounge, sun drenched too. Enough amenities for our stay too. Not every room has aircon - only in the open lounge (there is a fireplace, but we didn't use it). House is accessible through side deck and is open (no rails) - so need to be careful with young children when going in/out.
- louise (4/5): OK, shame the place was not clean. - Good location. Could walk into town and the shops. Quiet location. It wasn't the cleanest. Had to wash one of the bed linens before using it, as it had food, mould stains, and black hair all over it. The grass in the yard was so overgrown that we could not let our dogs or us in there.

- Carol (8/5): Overall it was a nice quiet place. - The location was so quiet and the Decor was very nice The Tv remote was broken which made it hard to watch TV. Usually this doesn’t matter but my husband has Parkinson’s and onset of dementia so needed the TV for distraction and entertainment as his mobility is limited. We couldn’t use the back garden for the dog as the lawn was very high. The ceiling fans need cleaning.

- Pauline (8/5): Would stay again enjoyed the comforts of the house - It was a great location, pet friendly
The house was spacious and comfortable The padlock on the side door doesn’t work worn out can’t see the numbers
Had to ring Tim twice for further instructions
The ceiling fans need cleaning
- Linda (9/5): Terrific for boat and dog - Quiet area with nice views from balcony. Good secure yard for the dog. Good drive away for boat.
House well set up and comfortable Nil
- Troy (10/5): Clean, well placed, host was great - Tim the host was fantastic, place was beautiful comfy beds dogs loved it also Nothing
- Chenyun (9/5): - Nice and quiet location. Kitchen and bathroom are very clean with adequate bowls. Quick hot water. One quilt is smelly and the beds are too soft. The trees along driveway need a trim
- Natasha (10/5): Very happy with our stay. Lovely modern house with a nice holiday feel. - Lovely modern house, great amount of space for a family and good amount of beds. Easy to access the property at any time. Tim was very friendly and happy to help. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. We did have to move the lovely decor during our stay as it was fragile and we had a young child.
- Glenda (8/5): I would recommend Rhyme of the Sea to those wanting a comfortable 3 bedroom house for their stay. - The location was good but our walks to the beach were limited due to the distance, which wasn't excessive but stopped us from strolling in the evening.
Our 11 yr old granddaughter from outback Queensland enjoyed her stay in Lakes Entrance which involved daily challenges at Mini Golf ("the best in the world") and another 'Best in the World" experience at Big Bears Donuts.
There was ample parking for our car and small boat at the house.
All 3 bedrooms were quite modern with large beds. The house was clean and contained everything that we required. Not being aware of the steep slope of the backyard. We were not able to leave our elderly dog in the yard as he could not walk up the slope or the stairwell that led down from the house to the yard. He had to travel with us on daily outings. It would be an ideal setting for those with younger, more agile pooches. We did appreciate the fact that we were able to have our dog in the house, as one of the days was quite warm.

- Li (7/5): Great Spot to Stay, Though Some Details Could Be Better - The location is perfect—super convenient yet very quiet. It's close to shops, restaurants, and the lake. The backyard is huge and fully fenced, which was great for my dogs to run around safely. All the facilities worked perfectly. 1. We found blood spots on the bed sheets, and the sheets and pillowcases felt old and heavily used.
2. I booked through Booking instead of Airbnb because I prefer a simple, low-effort stay. However, the host sent us a long list of rules about how to keep the house clean, including how to use the rooms, handle trash, manage the kitchen, and more. I usually keep accommodation clean when we travel, but the instructions were very detailed, which made things feel a little stressful, almost as if I were taking on housekeeping duties.
3. The lock on one of the backyard door was broken, and I had to use my own leash to secure it so the dogs wouldn’t escape.

- Yi (8/5): -
- Mona (8/5): - Fantastic location and pet-friendly, with a very friendly owner
- Galina (7/5): - Good location with short walk to the centre, very quiet street. Amazing private deck at the back of the property. Well socked kitchen. Property could benefit from updating mattresses (currently it has very basic spring mattresses). Also a new fry pan could be very good fit to the property. Carpets in rooms are a little smelly.
- Elise (7/5): Cute house. Some things need improvement. - Cute house, nicely styled. Lovely back deck. Very quiet. Pretty good location.
Had a few handy things like tea and coffee, cling wrap, salt and pepper. We didnt recieve check in instructions prior to arrival. 30 mins before arrival I texted and didnt get a response. When we arrived at 3pm we couldnt get in, then the owner didnt answer my calls. We finally got onto him after about 20 minutes waiting at the property. After a 4hr drive it, with pets, it was quite annoying.
The grass in the backyard was long- it should be mowed before having guests. We were uncomfortably having our dogs out there due to the length.
The beds were uncomfortable. Felt old and saggy.
The bins were pretty much full, luckily we didnt create much garbage otherwise it would have been an issue.
There was a loose floor board, a small hole in one wall, and missing chunk of paint on a window frame.
The front deck would not be suitable if you had kids with you, as its high with no railings.
- Michael (7/5): This is a lovely quiet area that makes for a great safe place to walk around. - Location and well equipped. Strong odour in the main living room area. More likely cleaning related than pet smell.
Oven didn’t work which appeared to already be a problem from a previous review. Therefore, we wouldn't have bought food for the oven.
- Kristy (8/5): - Great location close to main area and very comfortable stay for the kids
- Selena (9/5): Quiet lovely location, plenty of room, would definitely stay again - The house is in a very quiet street. The only neighbourhood noise is the from the myriad birds in the surrounding trees and bushes. The back deck looks out on a large yard and gives a lovely open view of the heavily treed location. The deck is perfect for sitting and having meals or just relaxing and watching the birdlife as it is quite sheltered from the wind that was prevalent during our stay and covered to protect from the sun and rain. All the bedrooms are of a good size, and the living space is also large. Although the house does not have a large footprint the spacious rooms give plenty of scope to spread out and not feel crowded. The plumbing is remarkably quiet - even in the bedroom closest to the bathroom the toilet flushing is barely noticeable even in the middle of the night. It would have been helpful to have a book of instructions on how to work the various appliances although we did figure them out through trial and error. The oven didn't work - every time we tried to turn it on it flipped the breaker switch in the fuse box. The mattresses in the 2 bedrooms closest to the kitchen have a slight tendency to roll the occupant to the edges of the bed and away from the middle.
- Andrea (8/5): - The pet friendly option. It was central to our plans.
- Kristy (10/5): - The house is lovely
- lorincz (10/5): A comfortable place for a relaxing holiday - Spacious, well lit house. It has everything you need during your stay. Nothing to mention
- Bryan (10/5): A wonderful pet friendly stay in Lakes. - The property was very clean, well appointed with many items you would not normally expect. It was very comfortable with a wonderful outdoor decked area overlooking the backyard. It was pet friendly and well located just a short walk into the main area of Lakes Entrance. The host was very helpful and the property was great value for money. We will definately be staying here again hopefully in the very near future. Nothing, the property was excellent.
- Kate (10/5): - Quiet location easy to get there. Comfy beds. Only 1 bathroom
- shuang (8/5): -
- Patrick (10/5): Lovely, light filled house. - Tim was wonderful to communicate with. The house was lovely and comfy, the kids didn't want to leave. I saw reviews of a strange smell, but we did not have that experience at all. Everything was great. Only suggestion would be that the king bed frame was a bit shaky, every time my husband rolled over it shook the whole bed.
- Kylie (9/5): - Lovely property, close to town and the water, very helpful hosts, and nice selection of amenities and games at the house Only qualms were the mattress in the back bedroom being too uncomfortable to sleep on (but others may not have an issue) and the bedrooms being cold but no extra blankets were available so we had to buy some. But they’re small issues and wouldn’t stop us returning!
- Melissa (9/5): Great pet friendly place for a short stay. - Great location, easy access to everything.
Mostly everything was provided for a comfortable stay.
- Jennie (8/5): Peaceful family holiday home - A nice 3 bedroom house with great outdoor area. In a quiet part of town. Walking distance to the centre. Loads of parking options. Host responsive. Easy instructions. Plenty of kitchen amenities for longer stays.
We enjoyed our stay The listing says "ocean view" but that is definitely not the case and should be changed.
I would have liked a bigger couch as the place has beds for 7 people but a couch that seats 3
- Alisha (8/5): Very good -
- Yuqin (9/5): Very clean and spacious in living areas and bedrooms - N/A (no breakfast provided) Only one toilet, especially the toilet and shower is in the same room, no one is able to access the toilet when someone is in shower
- Hayley (7/5): Fabulous comfort and location - Location and comfort There was an issue with stove top and gas the owner rectified the no gas but unfortunately the cooktop was faulty and needed full replacement.
- Xiaoyan (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, close to the center
- Glennis (10/5): Comfortable, clean and cosy stay in Lakes Entrance - Lovely and clean, great back yard if you are bringing your pet along.
- Mark (9/5): neat and tidy. peaceful location with a comfortable outdoor area. enjoyed the bird life. - no BBQ cleaning tools.
- Andrew (9/5): Very comfortable, very tastefully furnished and had everything we needed. - Very clean and well appointed house Grass was a bit long
- Barbel (7/5): Good - The location is great, it's quiet yet close to the main esplanade. The balcony is beautiful, with a great view.
We really appreciated that it's pet- friendly. The beds! All the mattresses were pretty uncomfortable, even for those who normally don't mind so much.
It had everything we needed, but more plates, cups, glasses etc would have been nice. And although the house had been cleaned prior to our arrival, it could definitely do with the occasional deep clean... Best not to look too closely ;)
- Gail (8/5): Very good - The location was great. House was clean and comfortable. Everything that you need. The dryer is too high to reach.
- Senthuran (7/5): Good -
- Trish (8/5): Lovely house in quiet neighborhood, close to town and attractions. - The house was lovely and bright and had everything we required for our stay. The neighborhood was very quiet and we were able to walk to town each day (although could be too far for some people) The rooms were a great size and the outdoor deck was lovely to sit at each morning/evening.
- Elsa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (8/5): Excellent, just short of a couple of things - Good layout
Not far from the city centre The2nd bedroom beds were terrible
No railing around the side door
- Chris (9/5): Superb - This house was ideal for our three generation family. It is especially good for young children and pets.
- Arlyn (10/5): One of the best properties we stayed in in Victoria - We liked everything about the property. Location, amenities, cleanliness and aesthetic. The host is also very responsive to questions and pleasant.
- Rochelle (9/5): Superb - Cosy place comfortable beds
- Brian (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed the stay, the great accommodation and the support of the owner - Location an easy walk from an excellent beach.
Quiet location
- Brianna (10/5): Great location, comfortable, excellent and helpful host! - Great location, comfortable, excellent and helpful host!
- Fei (10/5): excellent location, lovely house. -
- Terry (8/5): Very good -
- Melek (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (10/5): I will came again - Very clean, very comfortable, very nice landlord,
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kun (9/5): Good location, very clean. -
- Kaylene (7/5): We did enjoy our stay but there is a lot of work that needs to be diner to make this property excellent. - The location and been able to fit 2 vehicles in the driveway. No hand towels. Heavily stained and very worn tea towell. Only the one. No cloth to wipe down the benches. I had to buy one. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper for a 3 night stay for 5 people. No pegs for the clothes line. Cushions were marked and need replacing. Very dusty and lots of cobwebs. One of the towells that was rolled up on our bed was heavily stained with what looked like hair dye. Lawn was very untidy. Desperate for a mow. No handrail along the entrance. Was at least 1.5m high. Not ideal for children. Also no salt and pepper.
- Phakjira (10/5): Excellent - House very clean and beautiful, good location easy to go travel around there.
- Yingxi (9/5): Superb -
- Virginie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chantelle (7/5): Good -
- Nada (9/5): Superb - Location, cleanliness Dryer should be mounted on wall so can be reached without climbing on a chair to reach access and controls. Shower head kept dropping off. Could do with salt and pepper and more teatowls
- Roberta (10/5): A very enjoyable stay. Host was quick to communicate. Lovely home. Easy to get into town. - Winter sunshine warmed the house. Lovely location. Quiet street. Nice furnishings.
- Brickle (8/5): Very good -
- Josephine (5/5): Passable - The oven dials info has worn off so couldn't get it to work. One heater for the entire property. Had to buy own logs for the Woodburner.
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional - A bright and cozy house very close to town, in a lovely quiet street. I woke to the sounds of bird song every morning. Tim was a great host and when I accidentally left a personal item at the house, he notified me straight away and made every effort to arrange its return to me. I can highly recommend L' Horizon Rhyme of the Sea.
