The bathroom wasn't clean at all.

• Shaban (7/5): Good value, basic property - Good location close to family and friends. Off road parking. The single bed mattress was to soft and springy. The bathroom door didn't shut or lock. Bathroom was very tired looking and basic.

• Forhana (3/5): Location was good - Location The property could be cleaner and space could be utilised a bit better. The communication wasn’t great. I had an issue with the host being rude and kicking up a bit of a fuss when asked to turn the heating up. I eventually managed to speak to the host and the caretaker directly and After that we had no further issues but it’s disappointing to have had to deal with this in the first place.

Beds clean and comfy. Basic though - you get what you pay for The shared bathroom wasn't very clean. Toiletries etc left out

• Faiza (8/5): It was clean and very reasonable price. - The room and toilet was clean, kitchen was available to cook your own meals and refrigerator to store your groceries. There was a decent size room with dining table to eat your food and watch TV. The location was not ideal as there was a long walk from the main road and all the shops. I was bit disappointed by bed, not very comfortable.

The deluxe room was advertised as: "This double room includes a private bathroom with a bath, a bidet and a hairdryer....The double room has parquet floors, a seating area with a flat-screen TV, a washing machine, a tea and coffee maker as well as garden views. The unit has 1 bed" There is no private bathroom. The bathroom is shared. There was also no TV in the rooms, only in the common room. Kettle or coffee maker also only in the shared kitchen. I tried to ask for a change of the room but I was told that this is what I booked. It was very cheap compare to the area, now I know why... Unless you are into share bathroom, and no TV in the room and shared facilities I do not recommend to stay here.

• Octavian (1/5): AVOID!!! Dirty and cold place! - Disgraceful place! AVOID! Very dirty and cold!! Avoid this place! Very dirty and cold! Arrived at the property around 6PM and from the start I was having difficulties. The property is advertised as having private parking, TV and AC unit in the room( just lies ).There is no private parking, you have to park on the main road wherever you find a spot to don't block the neighbours. Second thing, I went to the bedroom and had a very unpleasant surprise to find very dirty sheets on the bed, dirty pillows, pubic hair all over the bed. Same story applies on the bathroom that is shared between 5 other rooms. I've tried to call and message the host without any response. Eventually there is a door saying office, knocked few times and a fella just popped out . I've asked if he could turn on the heating because is very cold ( about 10c outside) and he told me is very warm inside, actually is hot. The guy was wearing a hoodie and jeans jacket indoors. After we wasted few minutes where he showed me the thermostat from the central heating (showing 15c-16c indoor) he started to say is costing a lot of money to heat the house. That's not my problem and I think nobody that hires a room needs to deal with it! After nearly 3 hours in the evening, I've called a friend who's based in London to accommodate me over the night. This kind of place shouldn't be allowed to be listed on this platform! Shame on you!

The room was really nice and warm on a cold night :-) The bedding was all clean:-) It was quiet and peaceful and i slept well. The bathroom wasnt clean, im not sure when the floor mats had been cleaned, there was long black hair in the bath and on sink. (i understand the owner cant follow after all the guests and make sure they leave things clean and clearly a girl with long hair had just had a bath) but there was also grime and dirt at the side of the bath...but some cleaning spray there to use...but the cloths to use to do this werent clean and fresh ...so didnt feel appealing to touch these and try and clean for myself. Also i had ordered a delux double room but was allocated a small single room. I contacted the owner -who got in touch after the stay to say he could rwfund me £5, saying he'd allocated me a different room cos i was coming after 10pm ...but actually i ended up finishing my event early so arrived at 9.30pm. There was no one around that i could contact on site although as leaving i noticed a door marked office on ground floor so maybe i could have knocked there.. The bed also had a dip in it at the top and was basic and uncomfy so i had to put my coat under to lie on it for extra padding. This didnt seem acceptable for a booking which said deluxe double room?

• Oluwafemi (1/5): Unsatisfactory - The location was precise and as described. It was easy to find and close to the train station. The room smelt of smoke. The smell was intense. It felt like a smoker had lived there for a considerable period of time. That was the feeling I got. When I complained, the staff were unable to assist and denied the smell which I felt was obvious and could not be mistaken. Although I was to stay in the room for two night, I could not stay there on the second night and was forced to secure alternative accommodation. In addition, the bathroom was across the hall and did not feel private. It appeared that three other rooms were sharing that bathroom.

• Jackson (2/5): Not recommended - The advert said pet friendly, but when I came in with my dogs, they were turned away. They had to spend the time in the van (hot weather) with the windows open and all my tools in there. The door lock had a sticky barrel and latch which wouldn’t lock. The second night my keys got stuck in there. I messaged the contact for the property who blamed the faulty lock on me! The place has the potential to be nice, but it isn’t. I opened the back door while I cooked an omelette because the kitchen was warm. The chap kept closing the doors. For some reason the heating was on while it was blistering hot outside! Mental.

• Euan (7/5): Small clean private room and bathroom. - Friendly host. Pretty clean and private, had keys for my own room and would lock from the inside. The shower was a little bit awkward to use but not impossible! It was a little bit small but I knew that before booking.

Nothing I liked, we booked this place, but they called us with almost no English to say booking made a mistake and original place was overbooked, so they offered to take us somewhere else or I should decline the stay, which was non refundable. The towel was only one which was dirty. The bathroom was very dirty, no toilet paper. There was an outside person in the house - a builder working in the yard. No proper curtains as it was ground floor room. No kitchen amenities. And it is not so close to station.

• Rox79 (3/5): Very basic conditions not suitable for a longer stay - The host is friendly and helpful. The upside to this accommodation is the hot running water and the quiet area, 8 minutes to the next metro station. The accommodation requires higher cleanness standards. I am not a picky person but the room was not clean. The kitchen was messy on the first day, probably because it was after the weekend, and the house could use some improvements. The rooms have shared bathrooms and only one bath towel. Livable for two nights but in my opinion definitely overpriced.

Everything , the reviews on Booking.com are misleading. The place is far near cleanliness. The pictures on Booking.com are also misleading, those are not the true pictures of the place.

• Sabrinamaszhar (10/5): Suitable for solo traveller - The room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom is adequate. The house is near to shops and train station. House was well-equiped with everything (can cook and do laundry). Pretty much quiet at night. There was noise from the renovation next door during the day but tolerable.

Additionally, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and they made sure that all of my needs were met. I have extended my stay as I was really feeling like home Overall, I had a great experience at this place and would recommend it to anyone needing a comfortable and relaxing stay.

• Phyllis (10/5): The location is excellent, it's quiet & clean and a little 'GEM' a real 'Home from Home' :) - The location is excellent. The House is very homely and all the facilities work efficiently. It's a very quiet house but if you bump into anyone else the exchange is always a pleasant and friendly one - just like Host. I can recommend this accommodation and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! :)

• Tanja (9/5): Extended my stay to include another day - The owners and manager are extremely kind and went well beyond welcoming me and helping with every need which arose. The entire neighborhood seems to be full of really kind people with warm smiles. Grocery and prepared food stores are close and plentiful. Though close to the station, it causes no sound disturbance. My room was very clean, welcoming, and perfectly sized to fit my needs. Grateful to have landed here.
