• Fazilatun (6/5): Great location and spacey, needs work on cleanliness and basic essentials - Location is great, big space with lots of privacy being 3 bedroom and 2 baths. Great kitchen too. The ensuite bathroom shower did not look cleaned with previous occupants rubbish left in there, it also had a clogged shower drain so the water would pool when you were trying to shower. There was no laundry detergent, no salt or pepper in the kitchen, only 1 toilet paper roll provided per bathroom (which mind you wasn’t full to start with)

• Cameron (5/5): I can’t risk using booking.com for a Gold Coast stay again as I won’t risk having Q Stay as the 3rd party provider. - Great apartment, lovely hotel, fantastic location, friendly staff, 0 complaints in that regard Booking was made via a 3rd party Q Stay, whose attention to detail and assistance with the problems we encountered was little to none. Our carpark was occupied - no remedy, no assistance at all. We were promised a 2nd key - never arrived. Super inconvenient with coming and going at different times. Internet didn’t work - couldn’t even watch TV Multiple globes out - did nothing. A below average experience, never again Q Stay.

I feel the cleanliness could have been much better. The shower hose was broken, but once reported to maintenance they came and replaced

• Gabrielle (1/5): AVOID. They won’t tell you what’s wrong until it’s too late. Not safe for families. - Location was great. Pools were lovely No air conditioning. Was only notified AFTER booking was paid. Thought it would be fixed by the time I arrived (they had weeks to do this) - it was not. Had a little portable one provided that did nothing for a 3 bedroom apartment and it was so hot I couldn’t sleep most nights. Some of the exterior door locks were jammed and didn’t work. Had a metal plate in the kitchen doorframe to hold the vent for aircon that rattled constantly and the door couldn’t close which made me feel very unsafe. No one with kids could stay here as there is no way to prevent them from getting out onto the balcony since door can’t be closed. Was told someone was coming back to tape it up and waited the entire Saturday for them and didn’t show up(nor did they do this at all over the next week). Was told that someone would be coming into the apartment every few days to empty the water from portable air con even if I wasn’t there and wouldn’t arrange a suitable time for me to be there. The freezer was full of solid ice. Couldn’t get the huge chunks out. Old food in the fridge. Filthy windows. The plates and cutlery were putrid. I had to buy dishwasher tablets and put them through a heavy duty cycle many times. Clearly no maintenance has been done on this property. Owner obviously doesn’t care to fix things. Would not recommend to anyone but (for safety reasons) especially families with kids. I did contact QStay but they were unwilling to do anything about this.

• Bailey (8/5): Pretty good stay; Location great and very nice vibe to the place, especially in the morning. - Location and spatiousness of the rooms. The pull out bed was not useable at all, I ended up sleeping on the sofa.

• Cherry (10/5): Great stay! - Location is very convenient right at the heart of Surfers paradise. The room is massive and very cosy, my family loved it so much. The couch needs replacement, there's a lot of dirt and bits and pieces in between. The single beds are comfortable but wheels lock is not working so when you lie down its moving sideways, even when you just sit on it.

• David (9/5): Superb - Location is great, cool to have a plunge pool. Comfortable 2 bed, good layout. Being on level 4 with a huge balcony. Each morning, there were cigarette butts in and around the pool from the apartments above. One morning, there were 2 apples floating in the pool.

Not noisy at all and very conveniently located in the heart of the main area. Not much to dislike about this place at all. Some minor things but listing them would be very nit picky and the place is too good for that.

Single bed had a broken bed leg on arrival, informed their admin of the issue & sent pics of the leg, with no wheel. Wear & tear issues.

I did not expect booking.com would have this kind of rubbish on the website. - Honestly not much, spent so much money worked hard to save this money and I can't even say we enjoyed anything about our stay in a $15k apartment which was discounted at the time of the booking but honestly this whole thing spoiled our trip that we had worked saved for. VERY SAD The Apartment was not clean the place was duster. Wi-Fi working on and off, the actual TV was not working they had to bring another TV in, not enough towels, sheets were not enough, the power in the bathroom blow our hair dry and hair straightener, my wife, son and her sister became very sick from the dirtiness and the dust. they were on Antibiotics and Steroids for the whole trip after 2 days been there. We paid so much money to be there, and it was the most unpleasant holiday ever been on. The lifts were broken down honestly just TERRIBLE. I even complained to them by email and all they can say they were sorry. They sent in the cleaners again but honestly not sure what they did.

I went it he hotel thinking the key would be there and then they said no your booked with Wstay so then had to drive ages away to get the keys . Was difficult to find and a stay continually said they would get us in at 2pm if they could but no collected the keys at 3 and went to the hotel. The room still was not cleaned until 3:45 so we stood in front do the door for half an hour waiting for it to be cleaned because stay didn’t advise the cleaner. No communication and stay was rude in the phone. Check should be 2 pm and no later. Every other hotel in Australia is 2om and you can’t organise yourself even at 3 pm. I would not book through water again. The hotel and room itself was excellent but management was awful As per above. Stay need to check in at 2pm and keep up to date with society!!!

• Michelle (8/5): We love staying at Soul and will be back! - Perfect position, amazing view, beautiful grounds and hotel facilities. Good sized room and comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff at QStay, picking up the key was easy. The kitchen wasn’t very clean, especially the stove top and the room needs general maintenance (shower head in en-suite and some light bulbs in the lounge area need replacing).

Dryer door also damaged but lucky still working.

My son had no towel and had to sleep on bare mattress. Addressed the problem next morning, not fixed until that afternoon. Property needed a bit of deep clean especially in main bathroom and dining. You would expect better attention to detail for $610 a night.

• Punia (1/5): definitely never coming back - easy to access the restaurant and shop I would give them zero stars if I can. Never going to come into this building again and specially through Q stay accommodation (soul ocean view apartment). Half of the things in the apartment does not work starting with 1. Half of the down lights in the apartment does not work. 5 of them are in the living area, one in the main bathroom. 2. The couches are as old as the building and the photos they post are of the brand new apartment. They are so uncomfortable and old. 3. The side lamps on the main bedroom does not work as well. Either they are too old or the bulb is fused. 4. The power switch of the washing machine is faulty. 5. Stains in the balcony. 6. One of the chair in the balcony is worn out. 7. No pressure in the shower head. 8. Hot and cold water tabs makes weird noise in the ensuite. 9 TV in the living is just useless. It’s not a smart. 10. One main curtain in the bedroom is broken. TV and the home theatre system that they have is even older than me. Just their sits there to look pretty. No functionality. 11. Not enough toiletries for 4 people for 3 days. They provide only 4 towels for 4 people and expect us to use them for 3 days, and when asked for extra towels, they suggested that we can wash them or pay $3 per towel extra. I am here for my holidays, not to do household work. 12. Kitchen cutlery, plates, and glasses are so old and of cheap quality, and there are no small glasses for drinks. 13. Microwave was so old and wasn't working. Guys if someone is reading this please book anything else other than through Q Stay Accommodation even if you have to spend some extra money. Called the night of the arrival, manager to tell them about the down lights all they have to say is that it is not a priority for them to get it fixed. Mate If I pay for a full functioning apartment I expect a full functioning apartment. It is just fair and nothing else. Spending my hard earned money on a apartment like this is just no brainer.

The view was amazing! great location! very convenient to have a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. all our beds & pillows was super comfortable and the apartment was clean. hotel pools and spas was amazing. felt like some cleaning essentials should have been supplied as-well as a mop and for the price we paid more than one roll of loo paper. We couldn’t get the aircon working in the master bedroom and couldn’t lock the balcony door which is not ideal with younger kids. Not the properties fault but We also got stuck in the elevator which was quiet scary, but thankfully hotel maintenance had us out quickly, but every elevator ride was anxious from then on.
