- Jennifer (2/5): I won’t ever book there again - The view I was there for 9 days for work! Rang the phone number to say the TV wasn’t working! They knew about it but did nothing in 9 days with no communication! I rang back after 4 days and she said I’ve let the owner know! The place wasn’t clean! I sent photos of how the cleaner left the place! She was in and out in 20 minutes! No sweeping and washing floors, just emptying the bins and cleaning up after guests that had vacated. I wasn’t offered clean towels or a sheet change in 9 days! Not even a bathroom clean! I arrived from the airport at 9:45pm. Couldn’t make a cup of tea as no milk left! Just 2 sticks of Milo! Very difficult to arrive and after paying $1000, you would except at least a few supplies!

- Glenn (1/5): - Nothing. It is a dodgy share house that is unclean. There was no hot water. It is a complete joke that this property is even advertised on booking.com. Everything. The room was dirty with no view and there was no hot water. It was all the opposite of what was advertised.

Nice spacious bathroom. Code's to lock both bedroom doors and front/back doors which is good security Doors had to be slammed to shut properly so heard every other person coming and going, the bathroom had dust build up that was a little yuk, the carpet was dirty looking and the sheets were not clean looking. You don't get to see any staff on arrival or departure or any time.

- Steve (7/5): We enjoyed our stay with amazine views - Not even 10 min in a Uber and we were in Constition Dock , shower was big clean and hot water. Its a shared house 5 rooms so your stay would be affecteced by who ever is in the other 4 rooms , shared kitchen lounge with stunning views ,parking is a bit tight out front , roads to the house extremely steep , we enjoyed our stay . The bed was getting past its used by date . Parking out front should be more marked for each room . The directions gave us a wrong address at first but we eventually found it .

- Jen (10/5): Great room, amazing views - Lovely gem of a place. Amazing views over Hobart and very short drive to Hobart centre. Room was spacious and well equipped, shared bathroom was modern and clean as was the communal living space.

Cena niska i piękny widok lecz nie polecam. - Piekny widok z okna, dobra lokalizacja Nigdy nie spotkałam się z takim brudem i brakiem podstawowego wyposażenia. Po łóżkiem znajdowały się niedopałki papierosów, puste butelki i inne śmieci, roleta przy łóżku czymś zachlapana (chciałam wierzyć że to nie wymioty). W kuchni lepkie meble oraz nie było ani jednego widelca chciałam sprawdzić czy nie znajdują się w zmywarce, lecz zapach z niej skutecznie to uniemożliwił. Brak suszarki i ręczników choć znajdują się w liście wyposażenia. Zapach w pokoju i części wspólnej adekwatny do czystości.
- Raz (2/5): Amazing view and location, but ruined by poor cleanliness, bad maintenance, misleading photos, and terrible customer ser - The location is beautiful and the sea view is genuinely stunning. The potential of the place is obvious. Unfortunately the stay was extremely disappointing. There is no one on site to speak to, only phone contact, and the person we spoke with was rude and unhelpful. Customer service was very poor from start to finish. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes at all times, to the point it made us feel unwell. Windows cannot be opened at night due to no fly screens, so there is no way to ventilate the room properly. We were told we would be contacted about a room change or refund, but no one followed up. Cleanliness was unacceptable. The sheets did not appear to be changed and there were small hairs on the pillows. The bathroom and toilet were dirty and we had to buy our own cleaning supplies to clean them ourselves. The interior feels very cheap and poorly maintained. Several taps were missing parts, making them difficult to use. The kitchen is barely equipped and not practical at all. There is also a broken step at the entrance, we nearly fell multiple times which is dangerous. The door access system using a code is unnecessarily complicated, especially if you are travelling with older people. Overall, the property looks far better in photos than in reality and feels misleading. It seems like an old house that has been poorly divided into rooms without proper care or investment.

The room smells like fish, the floor was dirty, there were poo stains on the toilet, there was no fly screen on the window so bugs were everywhere, the look on the room door was broken.

Kitchen is barely stocked. Serious cleanliness concerns, mold in the cornes and in the ceilingnof the shower. Bed sheets had stains, looked like they made the bed with the same sheets that the guest before used without washing them. Room wasn‘t vacuumed. Loads of dust, some fingernail extensions from previous guest also on the floor. There was another guest in the house that was blasting loud music, I reached out to the host via chat option but no response for hours until I contacted booking.com support. Didn’t receive check in instructions until asking for it.
- Corey (3/5): - The view and bathroom I arrived at 6 pm but hadn’t received my pin pad check code. I called twice and even sent a text message, but I didn’t get a reply for 5-10 minutes. Finally, I got a response with the code. When I unlocked the door, I found scuffs and holes on the wall. The doona sheet and pillowcases were also so creased. The lights in room 2, where we stayed, wouldn’t turn on. I kept pressing the button for 20 presses and it still wouldn’t work. It finally turned on after 3 minutes. The house definitely needs some attention

Lock box to get the key not installed properly, glass on door broken and cut my finger just getting in. Filthiest house I've possibly ever been in. One spoon to use in cutlery drawer in house with 6 rooms. No mugs no few cups no bowls to use. The view is beautiful through filthy glass. Lock on rooms door also broken downstairs was left unlocked. Beautiful view of the backyard filled with beer cans and broken glass. Would love to look at the view from the room but the blinds are broken and can't open. Enjoyed the bath briefly (despite the broken heater and tap) until I realized the plug is also broken so the bath can't hold water. Worst place I have ever stayed. If you want to run a rental you need to actually run the rental.

Access was through a door with broken locks / handles 3. Bed linen looked unclean 4. Hair in the shower 5. Unable to close the bathroom window due to missing handle. 6. 2 towels in room, face, and hand towels requested, which never arrived. 7. No bowls, cups, glasses, or cutlery 8. No TV 9. Rubbish bin in room already full of rubbish 10. No smoke detector or fire extinguishers 11. We cancelled the second night and found other accommodations.

- Cebin (5/5): Not highly recommended- Need improvement - We liked the location and the rooms were decent, but overall it wasn’t a great place. It wasn’t really clean—you could see insects in the corners (like dead spiders) and there was an unpleasant smell in the room and toilet. There were no proper cups or mugs for coffee, and usually, places provide basics like sugar, salt, pepper, or even hand wipes, but nothing was there. We asked for kitchen wipes and were told they’d be provided, but nothing happened. For summer, this place might be fine, but in winter there’s no proper central heating. Sleep was good, and for $80 in the off-season it was just acceptable. But if they charge higher rates in summer, it wouldn’t be worth it. The place wasn’t properly cleaned—there were insects around, no proper heating system, and an unpleasant smell in the room and toilet. They mentioned a shared kitchen, but there were no kitchen wipes to clean the plates or cooking area. We even found old bread with fungus.

- Rachel (2/5): Beautiful view, but poor management and lack of guest consideration made the stay uncomfortable - The house has an amazing view, which we really enjoyed. However, the overall experience was disappointing. We informed the host that the conditioner needed to be refilled, but were told the cleaner was not available, so “sorry for any inconvenience.” This meant we couldn’t wash our hair during the stay. Another issue is the lack of house rules. Other guests had a loud party and didn’t stop talking until 3 AM, making it impossible to sleep for me and another lady. To make matters worse, someone even slept in a common area. The location and scenery are fantastic, but the lack of care from the host and poor guest management made the stay uncomfortable.

The bathroom drainage was a bit blocked . Please check room 5 bathroom drain. The 4 ceiling room lights should be able to dim further. Too bright.

Heater in room released a horrible smell too and other heater did not work. Overall, not a pleasant stay experience here.

Hole in the wall covered by happy birthday paper. Bed wasn't stable and on a lean. Power point cover falling off. Lack of cutlery in the kitchen. Windows not cleaned.

- Yael (3/5): Poor - Host was willing to give me another room once the self check in didn't work. Unfortunately, this place was really upsetting. The self check in didn't work at all, the lock was completely crazy and wouldn't respond. Spend almost 1.5 hours on trying to get in, couldn't reach the owner through booking or in phone for a long time. Eventually answered the phone and instructed me on how to get to another place. It was smelly, not very clean and worst - walls were thin as paper and I had to hear every little sound and every word of the couple in the room next to me. I consider myself a very easy and calm guest but this was not fun at all.

- Emma (5/5): Backpackers with no security - Great location with lovely views and balcony over Hobart and the surrounding area. Very easy to park outside the property. The property is a shared house, so multiple people share the kitchen and bathrooms. The set up felt like a hostel/backpackers however without the safety of a reception. There were some longer-term guests who did not respect the other guests staying. During our one night stay there were multiple people who ate dinner in the kitchen and then left later in the evening. These people were not guests and had been let in by other people in the property, which is unacceptable and makes the house very unsafe. This led to lots of noise in the evening and one guest was on the phone until 1am in the kitchen which made it difficult to sleep. The shared bathrooms were also very dirty and badly maintained. These bathrooms were much dirtier than the majority of hostel bathrooms I’ve stayed in. There was also no soap or hand towels in the bathroom. I would not recommend staying here because the shared facilities are dirty and make the house very unsafe, especially when there are non-staying individuals coming and going throughout the day/night.

I didn't realise just how beautiful the view of River Derwent was - and it was a full moon which made the view at night even more beautiful. The other guests were lovely. My bedroom was gorgeous and my bed comfy. The power supply to the power points went out twice while I was there. Also, I had ordered a twin single room but was given a room with one bed (my son and I had booked in via booking.com) As it turned out, he chose to stay at his friends house so it worked out okay. Just a suggestion - lamps in the bedrooms would be great.

- Choon (4/5): The impression we got from pictures on the website do not quite match the room type we booked. - Great views Shower gel was not replenished when we checked in. The cutleries in the kitchen was not enough. 2 spoons for the whole place. The drawers in the kitchen are barely sufficient for guests who may need to use them.
- Kathryn (4/5): View was spectacular, shame the place was so devoid of niceties. - The view Was very spartan, basic and neglected outside. Spartan as in not a single homely item, the kitchen was missing lots of utensils(only a few forks, no spoons at all and ONE cup for the entire house!). There was a kettle but no thoughtful little milk to go with it, just a paper cup with two herbal teas and one sachet of coffee. The toiletries ‘as provided’ was only shampoo, no conditioner, body wash or even soap to wash our hands with. We had to use shampoo to wash our hands. No nice touches anywhere.

There were many people who were knocking on the front door to get into the accommodation. Made the stay really uncomfortable for us

- Jorge (5/5): Nice place but bad management and not clean during our visit - The house is beautiful with a really nice view We arrived and one of the room was with flood with water from the toilet with a really bad smell. The staff didnt tell us before we arrived and didnt provide options just until we complaint for the smell. The solutions were not good and not even a courtesy voucher or a way to amend the problem was offered. We ended up paying heaps of money for a room we couldnt use for 2 nights.
- Lesslie (7/5): In the end, our stay will be memorable by the laughs that we shared when noticing all these things and reading the revie - The view is beautiful and the house amenities have been modernised. however, the reviews of this property is what I liked the most 🤣 Apart from the room numbers, it was unclear as to where certain amenities actually were, leaving you aimlessly wandering around the house standing in front of other people’s doors to search for a bathroom or shower. We found out that there was another bedroom on the side of ours by inspecting the door dividing our two rooms by turning the handle, following by frantic whispering and turning of the knob from the other side. This door had also been “repaired” with a ‘no smoking’ sign covering a square hole….and toilet paper covering another hole. Looking at reviews, this appears to have been the handyman’s go-to solution for over a year. When you weren’t scurrying around the halls unsure of who and what else were inside, you were seemingly free to explore a staircase that appears to go to a bedroom with no door and an unmade bed. Alternatively you could use the ground floor bathroom, whilst enjoying the views out at the kitchen and balcony through an obvious gap in the door. Looking up from the same bathroom gave you views of a glass ceiling and mirror that appeared to be located of the top bed/storage room, and possibly viewable from above.

- Cheryl (5/5): Amazing views, disappointing house - Views were amazing. What a location!! Seemed clean. Very tired property. Lots of broken things. Holes in doors. Insects are killed but not cleaned off ceiling or walls. Bedroom very hot. Most of the furniture the vinyl is feeling off. There is nothing to sit on outside to enjoy the amazing view. Had to drag chairs out. For a couple, there was only one chair in the room. Tea and coffee just plonked there with a kettle. Why? When everything is upstairs, including the fridge.
