Guest Reviews
- Tarren (3/5): Not pleased with this location or experience. - This was a truly disappointing Airbnb experience.
We arrived at the Airbnb to find another family who had the same reservation as us. We were left standing outside on the street for over an hour with luggage and kids while the situation was “sorted.” To make matters worse, we later learned the host had asked the other family if we would leave so they could stay—effectively shifting the responsibility onto us. That family ended up leaving to find shelter elsewhere with their two kids.
Inside, the unit didn’t reflect the listing. It was dirty—opened coffee bags was left out, floors weren’t clean, and leaves covered the unkempt back patio, which had no usable seating. There’s no air conditioning at all, and during our June stay, it was hot, humid, and extremely uncomfortable. No fans were provided, and it was impossible to get proper rest.
There were only four towels for five guests, no extra pillowcases, and we were told we’d have to pay for more. The washer/dryer combo barely worked. While the living room itself was finished, the ceiling was covered in a thin white plastic paneling that looked like a wall but clearly wasn’t solid—likely installed just to cover exposed structure. You’d only notice if you touched it, but it didn’t feel professionally done.
The unit is also directly beside a loud bus stop. One morning, we found a beer bottle tossed near the basement entry—making the entrance feel unsafe. While the neighborhood was fine and Earl’s Court Station was conveniently close, the guests upstairs were noisy, especially at night.
The host offered only 20% off one night—an insult, given the chaos, poor conditions, and the fact that multiple families were affected. This was an Airbnb fail, and we would not recommend staying here.
