Guest Reviews
- Yi (10/5): Comfortable - Convenient transportation, and There are many supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The landlord is very nice.
- Rakhee (7/5): Close to train stn, comfortable, good for families. - Location was excellent Lots of stairs and bathrooms location all on top floor
- Anthony (10/5): A great place to stay a lovely place and would stay again - A great place everything on your door step
- Pamela (2/5): Very disappointed -
- Kelsey (1/5): Awful - The location The flat has been maintained to a very poor standard and is dirty. All the bathrooms have mould and one small bathroom has very unpleasant smell and the basin taps do not work. The bedding and towels initially provided were stained, after we complained these were replaced with old shabby towels and duvet covers .The oven has not been cleaned so was not used. All the mattresses are uncomfortable and dip in the middle. The refund/cancellation policy is unreasonable. A window in the upstairs bedroom is broken and fell off the wall when trying to close it. A very expensive property for what is delivered.
- Bonnie (6/5): Satisfactory for price paid not awful - Location good easy access to train station, shops and restaurants.
There were 3 bedrooms a d 3 bathrooms so we didn’t have to share with 5 other people. There was a kitchen with tea and coffee.
Towels were provided. The sofa in the lounge is not as big as pictures show so there’s only room for 2/3 people which is a problem when there’s room for 6 to sleep. There’s a bit of work to be done with fixtures and fittings. Could be better but not a bad place to sleep.
- Frank (10/5): One of the best properties that I have stayed in London. - Great location and great host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely re book if in the area.
- Wasim (5/5): Passable - Location was good
Cleaning was good Communication with landlord was very unproffesional
Landlord doesnot care about customers
Doesnot answer phones and doesnt reply properly
Seems like is only intrested in booking but doesnot care about his customers problems
Not good at all
Also bed are not very good beds need to replace its all very very soft and not comfortable at all
- Radulova (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chi (2/5): Very poor -
- Kosta (2/5): Dirty and unsafe - Location. Front door isn't secure very well. Kitchen light switch broken, risk of electrocution if touched. Dirt everywhere. See pics. All plumbing was bad. Loose taps. Water pump was noisy and needed to turn up stairs taps on and off to stop pump. The kettle was full of lime scale. I found out after my morning coffee. Stains over all beds and sofas. Every thing was broken, light fittings, washing machine, shower rooms, painting bad all over house. Double glaze windows are not sealing closed properly so too noisy. I can clearly tell the property is run down and no one cares to invest some basic standards. Even my year old was surprised at all the dirt we found and general manance issues.
The owner simply asked for a 10 star review. Offered cleaning fee but disappeared and recived nothing.
Don't stay here. Unsafe.
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, helpful owner & it was as described None
- Egentian (4/5): Disappointing -
- Daniel (5/5): Passable - Location is great and ideal to get to all the touristy places in London. Plenty of room for a big family. Very near multiple restaurants and a Tesco express. Price is reasonable for what you get. The place needs a lot of TLC. Duvet in one of the bedrooms had a very recent crusty stain on top. Place was very dirty and needs a good deep clean.
- Sue (1/5): Not fit for purpose. A lot of money paid for below standard accommodation. It’s a surprise this accommodation is listed - Convenient for Eurostar Services I do not appreciate getting several messages from the landlord, prior to arrival, asking me to give the property a good review, when it’s clearly not up to the represented Booking.com standard.
The property is run down; it needs a (VERY) good clean & a maintenance team to fix things like the front door, which was mentioned in previous reviews; the kitchen tap which was completely loose; light switches which have no protective covers; plug points which don’t work, etc. etc.
There were no dish towels but there were items left in the washing machine - when the washing machine door was opened, the machine had not been drained so the kitchen floor was flooded.
We would never stay there again nor would we recommend the property to anyone.
Personally, I felt violated by the landlord harassing me for a good review. I’m fearful of retaliation so would appreciate discretion by Booking.com. Thank you.
- Razel (8/5): The host Jay was not responsive. Have a few questions before checking in sent direct text message to him and via booking - I like the location very close to everything we need. Close to train station. complete kitchen stuff. we were not advised that the washing machine was broken, there was a towel inside with water but the door wasnt locked. When kids played and pulled the door it opened and flooded in the kitchen. the location is better in pictures than in actual. would have been better if all rooms have drawers and closet.
- Alejandro (7/5): Good for one night - Flat is really near to Kings cross, there is a lot of transport options and restaurants. The facilities were not working good: sink in the top floor large room had a escape (nobody came to help), water pressure is low inside rooms, roof needs to be repaired, washing machine stopped working and nobody came to help us despite we reported it to the host. Main door needs a remodelling. The flat has Netflix on his name but no Netflix account in the TV.
- Ahner (8/5): Great location for sight seeing that fit the whole family - Great location
3 bedrooms
- Magdalena (8/5): We had a good experience - Great location, comfortable, fully equipped, easy contact with the owner, good price...would definitely stay there again One shower would do with an update and a few minor fixing is required like a shower head and lack of ventilation in the bathrooms
- Dariusz (4/5): Disappointing - Very good location Low water pressure
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (4/5): Fell flat - Good location, 2.5 bathrooms, they allowed early luggage drop off Space over 3 floors made it very chopped up. Steep narrow stairs. Loud water pump would go off frequently. Beds uncomfortable. Dresser broken. Needs proper cleaning and painting. Very loud street noise could not sleep in. Very over priced for the state of repair and quality of the unit.
- Laya (6/5): Sufficient for one night. - I was only there for one night with a group of friends and it was sufficient for one night. There were plenty of bathrooms and the rooms were a decent size. The host was kind and let us drop our bags off before the check in time so that we didn’t have to carry it around London. The apartment is on a busy street with lots of restaurants so it is incredibly loud at night due to trucks being unloaded. I was awoken by the noise of glass and deliveries at 5 am and couldn’t go back to sleep afterwards as the noise was constant after this. There was a point when there wasn’t any water coming from the sink which was annoying but this fixed itself. The front door is a bit tricky to open.
- Gail (5/5): Passable -
- Simon (1/5): Bad - Cancelled on me night before Never got to experience the property
- Opawuyi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Suzzane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Azeanty (8/5): Overall stay ok together with kids. Got halal foods nearby and tesco express just cross street. - Its provide entire apartment with 3 bedrooms The apartment with stair and no lift available
- Lucy (8/5): Great location apartment in the heart of London! - Such an amazing location of this apartment! It was great just a couple minutes walk from King's cross. Very convenient when traveling with children and it's quite spacious. Tesco is right at the corner to pick up essentials. Very accommodating host when we asked for extra linens and towels. I wish the apartment was kept up a little bit more, but i also understand it's an older building so it would take quite a lot to retrofit and update some of the things.
- Sheila (9/5): Good experience - Everything you needed from towels to toiletries
- Alan (9/5): Superb - location was excellent
- Robert (5/5): Passable - The location is great. The water pressure is so bad that in the evening there is no water at times.
- Peter (5/5): Fine for a one night overnighter near kings. - Close to Kings Cross, fine for a one night overnight stay. Property is in slight dis-repair. Eg shower in main room was not head. some electrical wiring was taped.
- Seth (3/5): Cheap and not cheerful. - Proximity to Kings Cross Beds were not comfy, there was no toilet roll. The shower was faulty.
- Federica (5/5): “Don't open that door”. - The location of the house was excellent, very close to King's Cross station and pubs/restaurants of all kinds. First of all, the door of the house. It was unbelievable to have such an unsafe front door like that. The rooms wasn’t very clean, we found hair between the sheets. Only one medium towel was given to each person. I contact the structure to have more, they replied that someone come at the house but no one never came to give us other towels. The bed slats in one of the bedrooms upstairs, although not being broken, were not proper, and the mattress would drop significantly on one side if someone slept there.
- Michelle (9/5): Great location. - We were able to leave our bags early the 1st day and leave them late the last day. I texted the guy to ask about the last day and he got back to me within minutes to say it was fine to leave the bags. Its about 5mins walk from King's Cross train and underground stations. It was very clean and had everything you need for a break away. The guy who let us in was very nice. It did say one bed room had 3 beds in it but each of the 3 bedrooms had a double bed and the sofa turned into a double bed. They had just put in 3 new beds so they were very comfortable.
- Magri (7/5): Overall it was a good experience and I would reconsider it if I were to go for a weekend - It was close to the train station so it was easy to commute. The rooms were slightly too small but we still managed
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - NIce place closed to everything highly recommended
- Linsey (4/5): Disappointing - Clean kitchen, bedding and towels, but a general impression that poorly maintained. Warm enough with underfloor heating on and location very handy. Bathrooms smelt damp and mouldy. Suspect that the electrical sockets in bathrooms not safety compliant.
- Ellen (7/5): Good -
- Alan (8/5): Very good -
- Correia (9/5): Superb - Good
- Tzuyi (7/5): Good - The location of the accommodation is very very convenient. The house is located on a main road, and the rooms are relatively small. There are several bars on the street, and intoxicated people at night create noisy disturbances, affecting sleep.
- Amy (7/5): Good - Very convenient for King Cross St Pancras. Very handy after a late Eurostar arrival. Great instructions to access property. Lots of bathrooms! The bathrooms needed a better clean as there was hair in the bath and sink, and old shower gel bottles everywhere.
- Chris (1/5): BAD! FILTHY, DIRTY, MOULDY, SMALL, DANGEROUS HEALTH HAZARD. - 10 min walk to train station- that is all that was good about this place. *very unclean* and in desperate need of repair and updating.
Electrical work is dodgy at best and health hazard at worst. I did not let my kids touch anything.
Multiple light bulbs need replacing and only one bathroom is useable.
The pedestrian crossing beeping and smell of the place also not charming. How anyone could rate this beyond a 3 is astounding. We would not recommend and would never have stayed if rating had been recent before booking. Spend your money elsewhere!
- Keith (8/5): Very good - Great location and a good price for area. Bedrooms all good size . Could do with a bit TLC and a deep clean. Living room couch needs replaced.
- Sivaprasad (2/5): Just ok - Location Very warm
Out of 3 fans only one was working
Water supply was a huge problem
- Martin (4/5): Disappointing - Location False information about the number of single beds.
Not suitable for a larger group unless you want to sleep in a double bed.
Dirt under the beds, in the bathrooms and on the floor.
- Greer (9/5): Superb -
- Lynn (4/5): Shabby accommodation with a don’t care approach in a nice location - Great location Not clean. Old linen and bath towels and no bedside lamps. Cupboards contained old food and toiletries left from previous occupants. Not very welcoming!
- Khatri (2/5): Very bad and inconvenient experience. - Location is convienet to the station. Property smells bad because of restaurants below.
Kettle, microwave didn’t work. Leakage from bathroom. Not properly equipped kitchen for the serviced apartment. No value for money.
- Valerie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jacqueline (2/5): Disappointed - Hi the location of the property was excellent very central but the apartment was in need of a deep clean. If clean would be good value for money. The beds were clean had definitely been changed no issues there. Need of deep clean
- Pankaj (8/5): Very good, value for money - Property met the expectations but property was old and some of bathroom doors didn't have locks working and some of the electric switches were also not working.
- Soumya (7/5): Overall a very nice stay. - Excellent location. There are nice shops around for all kind of facilities. The rooms were spacious. Could have been slightly cleaner.
- Darren (7/5): Good -
- Pauline (9/5): Superb -
- Cordfunke (1/5): Very bad, please do not book this apartment. This place is a health and safety hazard. - I would not book this accommodation if I were you.
We booked for 3 nights but left after 1 night because the apartment was filthy and unsafe.
The bathrooms are full of mold, and dirty. Most of the fire alarms had been disabled and the apartment does not have a fire escape. The front door does not lock properly. The are several burnt out electrical sockets. The tiles in one of the bathroom were broken and part of the railing of the stairs was missing.
We stayed one night with the family because we could not book accommodation for the same night. If it would have been possible we would not have stayed there. One of our daughters got a strong asthma attack because of the mold.
The owner does not respond to our messages about the complaints (he was going to send cleaners, which does not resolve any mold, safety or electrical problems)
I requested a refund for the nights that we did not stay in the apartment, but the owner does not respond
** Dear owner, I never ask for a refund if I stay at a place. However, you flat was so moldy and unsafe that we left after 1 night. and spent EUR 1000 extra on our trip for alternative lodging. I am only requesting a refund for the 2 nights that we could not stay due to the mold that effected my daughter's asthma. I never expected a 5 * accommodation, but I will not stay at a place that is so moldy that it has an impact on my child's health. Therefore a refund for the nights that we did not use you accommodation is a reasonable request.
- Anonymous (7/5): class - it was funny the pooey upstairs bathroom
- Richard (4/5): Disappointing -
- Rivka (7/5): Good - Great deal of space and number of bathrooms/bedrooms for the price. The place was clearly old and in fair shape
- Imran (8/5): Very good -
