Guest Reviews
- Kym (10/5): Lovely and quiet and serene. Really enjoyed being here - It was so beautifully presented, clean, and surrounded by Nature. So blissful.
- Genevieve (10/5): - Casa verde is a real little sanctuary! The house is very cute, in a beautiful garden with a natural pool. The house itself is very well equipped and the beds were really comfy. The owners are super nice, very welcoming and spent some time explaining their approach to us. We only had a night but could have stayed a couple more. Hopefully we will be able to go again!
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Deborah (1/5): Crap, stressful and unhelpful host. Not for anyone with walking difficutlies - Left in unopened accommodation Not for anyone with walking difficulties
Does not say on website, daughter has prosthetic leg and currently in wheelchair. Booked over a year ago and does not mention no good for walking difficulties
Arrived that night and contacted owner immediately to say not suitable due to walking difficulties.
Owner was adamant we booked for the week and would not refund anything, no consideration
We stayed that night as convinced by owner and stayed out few hours tying to get alternation accommodation. Nothing available in area so booked accommodation in Gladstone the next day. Would not refund any portion of booking,
Don't stay
- Ram (5/5): -
- Medard (10/5): - We loved the area where you can make a small fire and gather around it, the hammock, the very chill and natural feel. Everything was available, clean and pleasant. Nothing
- Julie (9/5): Exactly as described - This is exactly as described. Cute hideaway amidst the natural bush. Picturesque pool, kangaroos, opportunity to have open fire hosts provided marshmallows. Good assortment of teas and coffees. Wifi available if needed as Cell reception limited but it’s the perfect time to completely be off grid. Bathroom is separate to the accommodation, with lovely rain water shower, however there is a saw dust toilet. So for those who must have full plumbing I don’t recommend. Everything was thought of beautiful, naturally made oil scented bathroom and kitchen essentials were provided. Parking in front. Only comment would be the drive for us little rutted as we were on motorbike. However assume some erosion caused by recent rains and can see hosts possibly attending to.
- AIDEEN (10/5): Beautiful environmentally friendly house immersed in nature - Loved the fact that the property is truly “off-grid”. Electricity is from solar panels, rainwater is harvested, wood is collected to burn and heat the water. Natural products are used for cleaning.
The house was spotless. Lovely decor. Great attention to detail. The young owners are very friendly and helpful and have clearly put their hearts and souls into this property.
Amazing just lying in the hammock relaxing and listening to the sounds of nature. Watching the kangaroos in the garden while drinking my coffee in the morning.
Loved the complimentary bathroom products, the essential oils. No tv Would have liked to have nets on all the windows
- Heather (10/5): - Everything 😊
Our stay was incredible and we can't wait to come back ❣️ Having to leave !
- Gemma (7/5): Nice short break in nature - The natural pool was great. Outdoor fire that was set up for my girls with the bag of marshmallows was a welcome surprise. Staff very friendly. No air conditioning and main living area was quite hot.
- Kzacey (1/5): Booked it in and then left not suitable from my family booked another place to stay up with Aircon and entertainment for - The house was very clean and the surrounding is pretty and beautiful. It’s like camping but with glamour. Didn’t like the idea that it had no TV or no Aircon and
That you had to use sword dust chipping through your waist at the toilet and that their owners property was not that far away so wasn’t that much privacy not very good for young Kids to keep entertaining
- Lisa-Maria (9/5): Great experience in the Australian bush - Very quiet and hidden gem
- Cliona (10/5): An unmissable retreat on your Queensland road trip! - This was the accommodation highlight of our three-week road trip! The hosts have created such a gorgeous space, the three of us adored it! Naiara helped us with every request and was so generous. We made use of the barbeque, swimming pond and fire pit. A really unique and calming place to stay.
- Leonard (8/5): Great stay. - Great host, great property. Separate toilet. Understand the ethos though.

- Andrea (10/5): Must try experience while travelling in Australia - A really fantastic and unique experience, living off-grid and in the bush, yet very comfortable, newly and tastefully equipped and super clean. Saw roos in the evening grazing at the property
- Raylene (8/5): My sons and I had a peaceful stay. We appreciated the small gestures such as fire wood, outdoor candles and incense to k - The pond pool and bush environment
- Bridget (10/5): -
- Mick (10/5): Fantastic place to stay with fantastic people running everything, so thoughtful and everything is p - Everything about the stay , couldn't ask for better costs, or facilities ,everything was thought of even things you wouldn't think of yourself
- Leanne (2/5): Disappointed with the owner telling us we were disrespectful when we are totally opposite. Put us off on a bad foot and - Beds were comfortable. It poured with rain . We were told we were disrespectful for parking a new car under what appeared to be a carport and had to use an umbrella to go to the toilet. Cane toads everywhere. No air conditioning and compost toilet outside of property.
- Christian (10/5): - Relaxing surroundings with a beautiful home with eco friendly products. The hospitality of Naiara was amazing, such a cute family. We will come back for sure. Really recommend it!
- Carly (9/5): It was a lovely stay and was all our little family needed for my Husbands birthday getaway. Thanku for our stay. We will - It was completely off grid and the fact that u still had some connection to power but completely sustainable…wow, amazing! The surroundings are incredible and the little cottage we stayed in was just perfect for our little family I think the only thing was the lack of curtains, in the toilet block and the house. It would have been alittle more private but other than that…it’s perfect.
- Natasha (10/5): -
- Tania (9/5): - Sehr schönes Häuschen mit allem was man sich wünscht. Tolle Ausstattung und nette Gastgeber. Wir würden wiederkommen. nichts
- Natasha (10/5): Sad we only stayed one night! We will be back for sure - We loved how inviting it was and very easy communication with the owners. The beds were more comfortable than most 5 star hotels! Very peaceful and great facilities available
- Melinda (10/5): Charming and nature gateway - Beautiful off grid home, where the friendly owners live next door, and greeted us very warmly. They have put their heart into creating this sustainable and nature oriented gateway. Kangaroos are hoping in the back yard, the family cat will come for some belly scratches, the pool blends in the environment. It’s absolutely charming and super quiet at night. We loved it! Nothing
- Debatisse (9/5): Très bon accueil. Lieu calme, très agréable, bien équipé. -

You won’t be disappointed - Loved the off grid experiment, the location, the pool, the styling of the property, the hosts, the little villas home - designed and built - so much to love. Great wifi. Fantastic bbq and outdoor area. Lovely walks around the property. Hot water was a bit tricky. Not sure if we were meant to relight the heater or something…?
