• Daniele (1/5): Old windows not blocking the unbearable noise from the road. - Close to Accademia, San Marco, San Lorenzo Unfortunately this apartment has a fundamental issue; the old windows do not reduce the unbearable noise coming from the street. Although it’s a deserted road at night you will be kept awake the whole time by the few cars passing at high speed on the stone pavement, the waste collection camion at 5am (you will think hearing a plane engine from one meter distance), and the people passing by on foot. The flat is on the first floor, the main bedroom and the dining room with the sofa-bed face the narrow road which creates an echo for any sound made outside; and without very good soundproof windows the noise is unbearable. We tried to sleep with high quality earplugs, but they were useless in blocking the low frequency sounds (cars speeding on the stone pavement, waste collection camion). These same earplugs let us sleep comfortably the days before in another first floor apartment in Florence facing a square with a pub with music and people shouting loudly on the night of 31st december. In this case instead the earplugs were useless; we couldn’t hear our voices in the room but the noise from the road was impossible to stand. Once they replace the windows (we stayed on the 2nd-4th January 2025) this will become a viable place to stay.
• Olzhas (8/5): First experience with flat. I would rather stay in hotel - The location is very comfortable. Lots of restaurants nearby and I would recommend fouco matto, as it was of higher quality with less cost. Attractions are also close and you can easily walk. View to the wall, and the flat was not as furnished as it seems on the pictures. Get ready for cold floor in main bedroom and take your slippers
• Vanessa (8/5): Spacious apartment located within walking distance from Florence's attractions - Spacious and clean apartment with little walking distance to the train station and the main sites in Florence. Apartment is within a 5 minute walk from the Statue of David! Easy check in with communication from hosts. Loud street noise from trucks/a warehouse opposite the apartment in the early mornings, which could be heard from the living room and master bedroom. The bedroom at the back was not impacted.
