- Brian (9/5): Quiet peaceful escape in the Otways. Close to many beautiful waterfalls and trails. - Quiet and relaxing well appointed cabin
- Joanna (10/5): Peaceful and stunning location. Loved it! Highly recommend - Peaceful and stunning location in Beech Forest. View was gorgeous and so was the birdsong. The cabin is in lovely gardens and backs on to a gorgeous walk through the forest. Well located for exploring Otway National Park and the Great Ocean Road.
Cabin was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed, including decent coffee. Nothing
- Gary (9/5): - Great, well equipped and clean Not a lot of services in the area, take most of your food needed. Gellibrand town is 20 mins away.
- robert (10/5): A beautiful and excellent stay. The owners were very helpful. - Just a lovely central location for the places we wanted to visit. A very well maintained property and everything was there as we needed it. Nothing I didnt like.
- Tony (8/5): - Clean and warm
- Jane (10/5): Highly recommended - The host Stephen was a good communicator. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and close to all the places we wanted to see plus the grounds and views were stunning. Warm, comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed
- Tae (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (10/5): Was the perfect place for two nights in a great location, absolutely loved it here - The Wander cabin was exceptional! Super cozy, clean and the gardens were wonderful. Would definitely come back! I couldn’t fault the property
- Bouwmeester (9/5): Superb -
- Remy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - We booked both cabins as we had a friend travelling from the Netherlands and wanted to show them this beautiful part of Victoria. Loved the serenity and privacy of the place and the gardens are absolutely stunning! Had a wonderful time and will be back.
- Dale (10/5): Beautiful property, great amenities and very comfortable place to stay. - Stephen was very helpful with giving information on the area and recommended we try to see the glow worms near the property at night. The location was very beautiful and we were lucky enough to see a deer and fox close by while we were eating dinner on the porch. It was super close to the Otway Fly Treetop Adventure Park, which was excellent for us to spend a day out doing the activities. Perhaps a few larger pots/ pans for cooking would be helpful, as we like to cook our meals each night. The BBQ was great though.
- Kingston (9/5): Wonderful location and very beautiful. Everything you needed for a couple of nights or longer. - Fantastic location, close to some of the best waterfalls and walks in the Otways. The accommodation itself has a patch of rainforest walk at the bottom of the garden full of glowworms at night. You don't have to drive anywhere to see them. We stayed in "Explore" which has a kitchenette with everything we would have needed for cooking except an oven. We only stayed two nights so didn't need an oven and frankly not many people do when they are on holidays. The air conditioner was perfect for the size of the cabin. We were very comfortable the whole time and the beds were a perfect firmness. The TV was generously sized for how far you sit from it. The TV sound system took us a little while to work out how to adjust the volume but we worked it out eventually. The house is located a short walk from the cafe in Beech Forest and I thoroughly recommend you visit it and enjoy their scones, coffee, strudel or toasties. My wife and I had a wonderful couple of hours there playing Scrabble and eating and drinking before we dragged ourselves away to go and explore the Otways. Also recommend Nathan from Otway E-Bikes. We didn't end up taking his e-bike tour but despite that he was super friendly and helpful in giving me tips for enjoying the region, especially telling me about the Glowworms at the bottom of the garden along the old rail trail. I'm sure his tour is wonderful (it gets 5 stars on Google), we just didn't have time. Finally The Perch restaurant in Lavers Hill only 15 minutes drive away had delicious food and you can watch the beautiful birds come and feed. While we stayed in the region we also saw wallabies, deer and a beautiful big eagle up close (even a cheeky fox came up to us in the garden of Redwoods Rest, probably on it's way to someone's hen house). A magical place.
- Kylie (8/5): Peaceful quiet weekend away that was very much needed - Tranquil and quiet. Nestled above the most incredible fern walk full of the most amazing glow worms Having to pay for fire wood if we wanted it ..
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - Amazing location with a beautiful view, extensive gardens and a private pond and rainforest section! Cabins are cosy and well kept. Easy to keep warm in colder months. we had a guest coming from the Netherlands and they were so impressed with all the birds and surroundings. Would definitely come back.
- Klaus (10/5): Wonderful experience in a beautiful place! - Fantastic place to relax and enjoy the scenery. From the first step into the house you feel at home. Stephen was a great host, everything inside was well thought off. We had a wonderful, just sitting on the verandah and enjoying the view or taking a short drive to enjoy the beauty in the surrounding area.
- Jill (9/5): Superb -
- Jen (7/5): The cabin was nice however pricey for the area - The otways are very pretty - the views from the cabin were beautiful Just not a lot around
- Zoe (10/5): Gorgeous cozy cabin tucked away amongst tranquil gardens. - Great location between all local activities
Great size cabin for 3 nights
Gorgeous gardens Lack of privacy if someone was staying in other cabin.
Having to take your rubbish with you.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - The property was absolutely stunning with plenty of garden and forest to explore. I especially loved the pond and the sound of the frogs. The cabin was comfy and had everything you could ever need. Perfect getaway spot!
- Faye (9/5): Superb -
- Janet (9/5): Peaceful and relaxing - Superb location. Stunning view. Loved it! I have no complaints. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. The location was easy to get to. Lots of great walks close by.
- Collett (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (10/5): Our stay was magical. This has become my new happy place. Will definitely refer the place to other and will definitely v - The place we stayed at for my husband's birthday was like magic. It was so peaceful and beautiful, just like something from a storybook. We woke up to birds singing outside our cabin, and we spent our days exploring the nearby woods and having picnics. The cabin itself was adorable and perfect for a getaway. We didn't want to leave at all. The only problem for some people could be the lack of nearby restaurants or shops. However, we were well-prepared with all our meals and didn't feel the need to go out.
- Alan (8/5): We enjoyed the unit and location very much. - Provision of breakfast was limited but was within expectations. Location is excellent for sight seeing in the area. Provision of birdseed for the birdfeeder was noted in information but was not there. Other unit had some. Local area has very limited lunch or dinner options especially early in the week.
- Paul (9/5): Superb - The cabin overlooked rolling hills and boasted a lovely verandah to enjoy the scenery and the friendly birdlife.
- Joel (9/5): Superb -
- Jones (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (8/5): A delightful base for a couple of nights to explore the delightful area. - The view from the cottage over the backyard was glorious, and my partner and I particularly enjoyed all the birds and hearing the frogs. The compact cottage had everything we needed, and the pantry was well stocked. The aircon, bedroom heater and electric blankets made the space comfortable, and if the weather had been any cooler, there was plenty of firewood available for the woodburner. We both slept well in the comfy bed.
The cottage is a few minutes drive to the local pub where we enjoyed very good food and down-to-earth atmosphere.
Before we stayed, I contacted the host Stephen, and he was friendly, prompt and accommodating with his reply. Due to wet weather, we didn't get to explore the whole property as much as we would have liked, though we did manage a short walk at dusk to "Fairyland", which was a treat.
- Lam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lara (9/5): Superb - Superb location and great value for money. Really enjoyed the stay.
- John (9/5): Superb - Great stay. Staff very accommodating & cabin had everything we needed plus a great view
- Trevor (9/5): Superb -
- Crisp032003 (9/5): Superb - Beautiful location
Great little cabin to stay in, comfortable bed, easy to access cabin with key box, good parking, great views A but hard to locate from road, could benefit from a sign.
The water tank is noisey.
Have to take your rubbish with you, didn’t know this before reading the guest book after arrival
- Carly (10/5): Impressed - Very homey cabin.
A lot of little personal touches also.
- Water on the bedside tables
- Biscuits next the the coffee maker
- Personal message on whiteboard
- Birdseed to attract the wildlife which was a memorable experience. A picnic table down the back of the gorgeous gardens would be all I can suggest for improvement. As I spent a few hours out there laying on my beach towel having a quiet drink.
