- Tamar (10/5): Amazing location - Excellent location, very spacious bedroom and bathroom with a very large bed with wonderful pillows. A minor detail but there is no lift (elevator to the second floor) We had no problem, but if you had mobility issues then it is worth mentioning when booking.
- Alexander (9/5): A very special place. Straight in the center of Brugge, historic building, rooms done with a lot of taste - Great location, a lot of character in the building, great staff Sound insulation

- Gubelmann (8/5): Satisfied, but the price was too high for this relatively small room. - Location, simplicity of host, friendliness The room was too dark. A question of taste, I suppose. I didn’t understand the choice. I didn’t get the choice actually. Room are all different and you don’t have picture of the room you will get.
- Paraskevi (10/5): Perfect !

- Ralph (10/5): Stunning - Extremely tasteful and spacious room. Exquisite shower and beautifully scented toiletries provided. Perfect location, all the best non touristy restaurants and bars/pubs were nearby. Also just a stones throw from the Belfort. The Cade downstairs is really charming and our host was more than accommodating. Extra bonus is the honesty fridge just outside the room door with chocolate, beer and water You could hear upstairs walking around a lot but it wasn’t that troubling
- Charlotte (2/5): - Rooms were nice Steps to the room were horrendous, genuinely thought I was going to die everyday from walking up /down the steps. (I’m not even 40 yrs old)
- Robert (10/5): - Świetna lokalizacja, kilka kroków od rynku głównego.
- Jules (8/5): -

magnifique. Escalier raide
- Muree (8/5): Very nice stay - Location, bathroom. Could do with an elevator. Beds not changed daily, normally I would expect that for 130e per night.
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our large upstairs room! The location was ideal, close to the historic old town. The host was very easy to communicate with. The only down side is that there's no elevator and very narrow stairs going to the floors. It was challenging, but good exercise.
- Ayşe (10/5): Central, Safe and Amazing - We stayed in this room during our trip in Brugge. Rik is a very good host. He helped us a lot in everything. He responded to our messages very quickly and gave details. The house is quite clean and quite large .There were shampoo, hair dryer, coffee, extra toilet paper, towels. There is hot water during the day. The house is very safe and the lock system is very strong. The house is in a very safe neighborhood. The house is incredibly central and it is walking distance to everywhere. We did not have to use taxi or public transportation. There is no sound to disturb you at night. WiFi was perfect, The Adrian Coffee was very nice.Thank you very much Rik. We loved your house. We will come back to Brugge again, we will stay at your room again. Please try this house, we highly recommend it to everyone. Nothing
- Philip (5/5): Great location but not a comfortable room. - Great location, nice cafe downstairs. Narrow, long, and curvy staircase, two flights up. Room was dark..
- Sam (10/5): Amazing find , loved Bruges and coming back to the accommodation. Sadly we never got to try the coffee shop which is att - Easy access, beautiful decorated , very clean, comfortable bed and huge. Always makes a great stay 😁
- Neharika (7/5): Good stay for a night. - Central location, rooms are big and bed is comfortable. hotel seems newly done and advertised pictures are accurate. Parking was convenient in a garage 5 mins walk. The hotel / rooms get quite noisy. The walls are thin and poorly insulated. We could hear everytime someone came up the stairs or if people on the floor above us moved around in the room. We had a dog so the noise clearly bothered him too.
In the room, there is no door between bedroom and toilet / shower area. Its a walk in situation with no door / no curtains.
- Bart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lialala (8/5): Very good -
- Alison (8/5): Excellent location in the heart of Bruges, lovely host and beautiful room - Decor was lovely, location was excellent Bit noisy at night on the Friday, even through the double glazing
Also no extra supplies of coffee even though we stayed for 4 nights and we could have done with the bins being emptied
- Penny (10/5): Excellent stay in Bruges! - Location was great and check-in was really easy. Owners were really friendly and helpful - cafe downstairs was excellent! Lovely room.
- Bryony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (10/5): A wonderful place to stay and the cafe just downstairs served a wonderful breakfast! - Perfect location and beautiful accomodation. The host, Marie was so helpful and kind. Everything was perfect.
- Tanya (9/5): Highly recommend - Excellent location and very comfortable clean room
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Riaan (2/5): Great location terrible night sleep to noisy - Well designed room great decor The road noise was horrific, the double-glazed windows did nothing to keep the noise from the road, we hardly slept as a result.
- Sara (8/5): Very good -
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - So comfy and warm. Beautiful building
- Nikola (10/5): Could not recommend it more highly. Fantastic, friendly and attentive hosts - Fantastic hosts. Very friendly, attentive and helpful. Very reasonable in attending to requests. A beautiful cafe downstairs which also can be excellent to work from with a laptop and for meetings.
- K.l.c. (7/5): Good - Impersonal, not very well sound-proofed so you can hear the town square through the night
- Amy (10/5): Warm, cozy comfortable and in the perfect location! - I can’t imagine a more comfortable and charming place to stay! I loved every second here, and the ground floor cafe was an added lovely benefit to the location. The staff is great and really cares for these guest rooms. Amaaaazing shower. The location couldn’t be better. Quiet at night but walkable to everything!
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (8/5): Very good - Property was brilliant Issue with Xmas tree interference with Intercom meant was stuck outside for an hour in the cold
- Priscilla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (8/5): Very good -
- Benedicte (8/5): Very good - It's really close to the heart of the city, the Grand Place and surrounded by restaurants and cafés.
Very clean, stylish and comfortable. No door between the bedroom and the bathroom.
Downstairs café closed so no breakfast on the premises.
- Wilford (9/5): Nice. But details missing in decor and information about stairs. - Location. Coffee shop was nice. Too many steps without prior notification. I have a back issue and this was difficult. Television and lamp on the floor. It didn’t seem fully furnished for the price.
- Ornella (10/5): Lovely and stylish place in Bruges - I had a fantastic stay at The Bank. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and spotlessly clean. Everything was functional and well thought out, making my stay very comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stylish and impeccably maintained place to stay. Lovely room, spacious and clean. A bit noisy at night, but with earplugs, I slept comfortably.
- Jonas (8/5): Very good - Good value overall, coffee place downstairs Dark, no door to bathroom, very noisy
- Barbara (7/5): Good - The location is perfect to explore Bruegge. The room is lovely designed and everything is extremely clean. The location is central that means also quite noisy at night. As we were traveling in summer, we had the choice between noise or heat. Unfortunately the room had only a fan, no air condition.
- Wendy (9/5): Superb - Love the location, the shower, the bed and pillows, the cafe underneath, the styling of the room but most of all the scent in the building and the soap in the room. Parking is so easy in the Biekorf just 3 min walk. We would definately come back here. We stayed 2 nights, Friday and Saturday. It is a bubbly area but with the windows closed and earplugs in, we slept 2 really good nights.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Julia (8/5): Very good -
- Zeynep (9/5): Great location, great hospitality - The atmosphere of the whole building and the rooms are retro with modern touches, and high quality. The room and the bathroom were very spacious. Rik was very helpful and welcoming. The odor in the common areas and in the rooms were very good. The location is very convenient, even the bus stop to/from the train station is next to the building. Cafe Adriaan is good to have a breakfast. As a solo traveler I liked the bathroom without a door, but can be a problem when traveling with friends. Due to the noisy guests, it can be noisy during the night, as the building is quite old. But the noise was not a problem for me
- David (10/5): amazing - nice interior, comfy beds , great hosts, super helpful and friendly it could maybe use a bit brighter lighting, but that’s an aesthetic choice I guess
- Howard (10/5): We would like to return to Brugges someday and stay here again. - A beautiful room just around the corner from the market square/cathedral area. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft. They had umbrellas we borrowed one day also. The owners Rick and Marie were very nice, and helpful with suggestions and getting us a taxi hire at 5:40AM. Just be aware that there are stairs to climb if your mobility is an issue.
- Lori (10/5): Loved it! - Beautiful room. Lots of charm with a comfortable bed and fabulous decoration.
Charming hosts and the breakfast at the cafe was delicious (try the orange jam!)
- Felice (9/5): A perfect choice for visiting the center of Brugge. - The room was cosy and functional. Nice interior design. The location was excellent to visit Brugge on foot. The owners were friendly and offered advices on what to visit and where to eat. The private bathroom didn’t have the door. I looked nice but unpractical while staying with our little daughter.
- Patrick (9/5): Superb - Great location, close to everything. Lovely room, very quiet
- Aleksandar (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Curtis (10/5): Great place! - Outstanding location! Very close to everything. Nothing
- Charles (8/5): Very good -
- Katherine (10/5): Ideal place to stay in Bruges! - We loved our stay! Beautiful property in a perfect location -- walkable to everything but on a quiet street away from the energy of the main square. Comfortable space with an excellent, charming cafe on the first floor. The highlight was our gracious hostess, Marie, who ensured we had everything we needed and even gave us recommendations for our next stop in Ghent, her hometown. We will be back! The bathroom is separated from the sleeping area but there is no door or curtain, so nothing to block light or sound when one person was showering while the other was sleeping. We didn't mind, but others might!
- Sara (5/5): Passable - The location is fantastic. And the room was clean and really comfortable. We were surprised that we were asked on our last night to remove the bed sheets and take out the garbage. For the price that we paid and especially because there is no service offered in the room (they don’t make the bed nor fill the coffee even if you stay three nights), it lowered our rating significantly.
- Paul (8/5): Very pleasant, comfortable with convenient location - great location - easy walking distance to everywhere in Bruges - and larger comfy room with cosy colour scheme on entering with key code - it was not clear where to go. The door straight ahead was marked "Privee" and actually that was the door we needed for the stairs
- Lise (9/5): GREAT location close to main square and on bus route to train station but on quiet side street. - Room is beautifully decorated, spacious and the bathroom is lovely and big. Everywhere is spotless and smells devine. The hosts are amazing and very acommodating. I would have liked at least some warning on Booking.com that there was no lift at the property and that I would have to lug my two heavy suitcases up two flights of stairs. It is useful to be warned of this as there is no staff available to help.
- Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional - Great room in a very convenient part of town. The free shuttle bus from the train station drops you right on the corner
- Lucy (10/5): Beautifully designed and great location - The location is perfect! Especially as a solo female traveller, the hustle and bustle of Bruges was at the end of the street, the the street itself peaceful enough to sleep well.
The bed was so comfortable and the decor is lovely.
- Catherine (8/5): Very well located clean big room - Very centrally located. We arrived just as the cafe downstairs was closing and I initially found the welcome to be a little cold (language barrier?). Room was spacious and very clean . Breakfast available at the cafe on the ground floor. The dark decor of the room , a little too dark for me. No door on the bathroom and 65 eur cleaning charge for a 1 night stay.
- Margot (6/5): Beautiful, cozy hotel in an excellent location with a few unexpected flaws - The hotel is in an excellent location, and it's a short walk to the main city square. Brugge is a very walkable city overall, but being so close to the square is a great place to start exploring each day. The room itself is beautiful and well-furnished, and has plenty of big windows (with blackout curtains). It's right above a lovely coffee shop, which is a great first stop in the morning. Room comes with a nespresso machine, multiple glasses, corkscrew/bottle opener, cream, sugar, and stirring spoons. There's also a fan, which came in handy. The primary thing that I disliked about my stay was the shower. I have never been so stressed taking a shower, because it barely drained at all, so that by the time I was finishing up, there was an inch or more of standing water, where all of my shower things ended up floating around on the floor because there is no shelf to store soaps etc. Multiple times I was afraid that the water was going to get so high it would overflow out the shower door (thankfully this didn't happen). I tried to find the owners to alert them of the problem, but I couldn't find them—probably because I was only at the property in the late evening/early morning. I only stayed for a couple of nights, but if I stayed longer, this would've been a bigger sticking point. Aside from the shower, there were a few odd things. First, the lighting in the room has incredible ambiance, but at night time is very dim, and hard to work or read with just the lamps in the room. There was also no luggage rack, which was unexpectedly annoying. Finally, while this is absolutely NOT the owners' fault, I thought I ought to warn you: I stayed in July, and left the windows cracked open at night to keep the room cool, and ended up getting eaten alive by mosquitos (or some other mystery biting insect) overnight. Learn from my mistake!
- Jurgensen (10/5): Love the location! - The property is the perfect location for enjoying the town.
The room was smartly appointed, beautiful, and up to date! Everything was wonderful!
- Donna (8/5): A wonderful stay with wonderful hosts and the breakfast was perfect -
- Pinto (3/5): Poor - The room was nice but when I made the reservation it said that it had air aconditioning and it didn’t have It was a second floor without elevator and the room didn’t have air aconditioning as it was published.
You didn’t have any type of communication with the host it didn’t feel like an hotel
- Dietderich (10/5): Exceptional -
- Padraic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liga (9/5): Superb - lovely location and a beautiful room. it was easily accessible from the market square
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ian (10/5): Very happy and satisfied with our room at the Bank. the bed was so comfy it was hard to get out! The location was fantas - The property is in a fantastic location and felt secure, the building and our room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable! Perfect and highly recommended! No ironing facilities available
- Lee (9/5): Superb - The location and decoration were excellent The towels were tiny and could not fit around our waists. We're not that big!
- Georgia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (9/5): Epic - A little bit to dark in the room but no problem really!
- Sara (9/5): very happy we selected this property in Brugge. was convenient and lovely - fantastic location. very comfortable bed and beautiful decor there are a fair number
of stairs to be aware of
- Klervia (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (8/5): Perfectly located in center of Bruges - The hotel is located in the floors above the coffee shop owned by the same owners. It’s in the heart of Bruges, so easy to walk everywhere to explore the local attractions. We were a bit surprised by the street noise (we live in the heart of a busy European city). It wasn’t disruptive enough to prevent us from sleeping, but the traffic on the cobbled street was noisier than expected. We also found the room and bathroom a bit dark due to the choice of paint colors, but we’d still stay here again.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional - loved it. beautiful historic building with contemporary design
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional - beautiful room and colors noisy at night
- Stephanie (8/5): Gorgeous room in heart of Brugge - I had a gorgeous and well decorated 2nd floor room in this beautiful old building, with lovely natural lighting, wood blinds and blackout curtains for sleeping. The bed/bedding was incredibly comfortable and there were plenty of outlets plus USB ports right next to the bed. Great location close to Grote Markt and very close to a bus stop (or a 20 minute walk to the train station - though I had a rather heavy bag and opted to take the bus). I loved the convenient built-in wardrobe with plenty of hooks and shelves for all my stuff and the awesome Nespresso machine in the room was an added bonus! I appreciated the easy building access via door code and the upright piano in the entryway downstairs was a nice touch. Overall, The Bank is a wonderful spot to stay while in Brugge, though I would suggest a few small upgrades that could make this place a 10. The room itself was beautiful and the cafe downstairs was absolutely charming and stylish. What I'm a little sad about is that there was a guy on the floor above me working (construction/painting/etc) all day for almost every day that I was there, including on a Saturday when I hoped he would finally take a day off. I arrived in Belgium after a sleepless overnight flight and when I finally made it to The Bank, I was really looking forward to a nice rest before heading out to enjoy Brugge. The construction upstairs was very loud and made it impossible to rest. Not only were the power tools loud and vibrating the ceiling and walls, the guy was watching a TV at a high volume, and since it's an old building, there's little noise-dampening or insulation and I could hear every single word and sound. Sure, one could argue that rooms are meant just for sleeping at night and daytime is for exploring, but I unfortunately wasn't feeling well during my stay so I spent more time in the room than I had planned. I also booked the room specifically because it looked like such a beautiful place and I wanted to enjoy some luxury on my short trip in Brugge. Sadly, it wasn't too relaxing or enjoyable to have the constant noise from above. One other small inconvenience was that the radiators seemed to get super hot and toasty during the day but at night I think they went off, so the room was chilly by the time I returned from my daily adventures. Overall, the place is really lovely. It would have been much nicer without the constant noise. A small fridge would have also been great, the bathroom needs some sort of table or cabinet on which to place toiletries, and something to hold the soap/shampoo while using the shower.
