Guest Reviews
- Ortega Giles (10/5): Excellent! - Excellent facilities. Everything was super convenient, from the impeccable entrance, the room, the bed, and the private bathroom. Everything was perfect. It was super comfortable and the price/performance ratio was excellent. It's right in front of the train station, making it very convenient to get there.

- Timothy (7/5): Was good but could be better - Good loc Carpet was unclean
- Brendan (8/5): - Comfort spacious clean. Stop over when solo travelling. No complaints. Communication good

- Cw (6/5): Pleasant - This was a very strange booking. On arrival.after a long, tiring drive, only the bedroom and bathroom were available. The various other facilities were not open. The landlord didn't reply.y until the following morning early. To his credit, he did engage in a long dialogue. In summary, he thought he was renting room only with no other facilities listed. When I sent a copy of the long list including washing machine and tea facilities, he agreed to open them. That made the stay worthwhile. For the life of me, I cannot understand why anyone would want a room/ shared bathroom only. If the letting is to be room only, DON'T BOTHER. If full access to kitchen, courtyard etc are included, then it is fine. Watch the fine print. See above.
- Osman (1/5): Bad - . The location . 1.The room wasn't clean,2. no wase bin inside the room or the toilet, 3 .there was a boiling kettle but no cups , 4 .pillows were very skinny and one little pillow was teared ,5. the bed wasn't comfortable and it was 2 single beds putted together to turn it to a double bed. 6. The owner asked us to go to our room barefoot and to leave our shoes downstairs because he doesn't want the carpet to get dirty.
I have attached my conversation with him for your records.
Thank you

- John (6/5): Comfortable stay in a good location gir our purpose —Host was extremely helpful - Location was excellent .Room was clean and comfortable Lack of bedside tables
- Camila (6/5): ok place, good location - The location of the house is good, across the road you have a tram stop that goes to town and also a shopping center with a supermarket, food options, etc. The size of the room was good as well In booking the check in says 14hs but the owner told me it was 16hs.
The room was not clean, the carpet was dirty, the floor of the toilet was dirty. There was a little table in the room full of dust. The bed was broken.
- Barwaaqo (10/5): Exceptional - Good clean and good people
- B. (1/5): Bad - Location convient The room was not cleaned and was not set up for a guest. Bed had not been changed, broken headboard, stained pillows, dirt on carpet stained towel. Mug and glass left in bathroom sink. After contacting the owner, it would appear like another guest had taken the room that had been reserved for me. I was directed where to get fresh bed clothes and towels, so I had to make up the bed as it was too late at that stage to look for alternative accommodation. I have been promised a refund, and I will wait to see if that materialises? Won't be staying here again
- Paul (8/5): Great place to stay - Great host, very helpful. Place was comfortable and convenient for the Luas, super value for money Nothing, all good
- Ayub (10/5): Good place to go - It is located at a nice place and it was also a clean room. It doesn’t have a Televison
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Majella (7/5): Good value but basic - Basic but good price, good Location No cups although there was a kettle. Needs a TV.
- Mlauzi (9/5): Superb - It’s in a nice neighbourhood, close to the tramline and the place is really clean. When I got to the place I couldn’t find the key, but the staff were really helpful when I called them, I got the key in 20 minutes.
- Kevin (1/5): Unable to get into property, unresponsive host, forced to find another place, no refund. Awful! - I arrived at the propery at 8:20 pm, within the agreed time slot of 8 - 9 pm, as agreed via email the day before. There was nobody there and nobody answered the door when I rang the bell. When I called the host's number twice, it rang out and I was put to voicemail. Nobody called back. I then tried to cancel the booking on booking.com. I also called booking.com's helpline for advice on what to do next. The person I spoke to was helpful, but she was not a native English speaker and her command of the language was poor, which only added to my stress in this situation.
By this point, it was getting late and I was worried that I would have nowhere to sleep for the night, so I took the tram back into the city centre to look for a hotel room - which I eventually found. It was not cheap. I was then emailed with notification that my cancellation had been refused. I got on the phone to the host, who said that he would let me in if I went back to his place. It was now well after 10 pm and I was very tired after all the stress of the failed rendezvous. I said that I had found alternative accommodation, as I needed somewhere to sleep and I had a busy day ahead of me. The host rudely hung up on me when I said that his communication was poor and that I would report the matter on booking.com (which I'm doing now).
Overall, the whole experience was horrible. I've used booking web sites to find accommodation on many occasions and this was by for the worst experience I've ever had. The host's communication was appalling at every point, especially after I had arrived at the propety and I tried in good faith to get what I had paid for.
The thing I find most galling in all of this is that I have paid this guy money, and in return, I got nothing but terrible service, rudeness and a total absence of common decency iand basic communication skills.
How does this guy get anyone to stay at this property.
- Natalia (10/5): My two-night stay in Gaurav’s room felt like a lullaby for the soul... - Absolutely the best Booking experience I’ve ever had, hands down!
From start to finish, this stay ticked all the boxes. The location couldn’t be better, just a minute away from fast public transport, with supermarkets and cosy cafés right nearby. The view of the mountains was absolutely breathtaking, and the walking trail just outside the house left a lasting impression on me.
Just five minutes away, there’s a magical little forest that felt like stepping into another world. The perfect place to reset your mind and soul, and it’s right there next to the house. Not to mention, golf courses are also within walking distance, which made it all feel like the ideal mix of adventure and calm.
Now about the room, I’ve honestly never seen such sparkling cleanliness. I was especially delighted to find a hygienic shower (very rare in Europe!), a super comfy mattress, proper blackout curtains, and blissful silence. It was exactly what I needed to rest and recharge for the next day.
And finally, a heartfelt thank you to Gaurav for the warm welcome and arranging an early check-in, I instantly felt at home. That’s what top-tier hospitality looks like! If I could give it 100 out of 10, I would ❤️

- Rebafilwe (7/5): It was just ok. Not good, not bad, just ok. - The tram to city centre is just a stone throw from the house The room wasn’t properly cleaned prior to our arrival. The kitchen wasn’t cleaned either.
- Benito (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gixj (5/5): Hosts not ready to rent to paying guests - noisy, not clean, chaotic - There is ample parking outside. It is in a quiet location. En-suite. Host and his family had some major disagreements and argued loudly while we were present. First inside the house, then the host went outside and had argument with someone over the phone right under our window. They quiet down only around midnight despite having been told by one of us much earlier that we need a good night sleep.
There was a strong smell of smoke in the house as the host smoked at the entrance door from the kitchen to the backyard. The host did not care much about us, we were given the keys from the house and basically could sleep in the room, and that was it. He did not even walk up to the room with us, just said "go up the stairs, it's the room on the left" and kept playing an online game on his phone. I doubt he noticed at all that there were two of us!
Fridge was *very* dirty (we stored our food containers there). Kitchen counters were unclean, with some food leftovers and dirty dishes left on it. Overall really untidy and did not look like they were ready to welcome guests in there. We could not use the kitchen nor living room at all. In the morning, I found that the kitchen door was locked but as the living room was unlocked and had a set of keys in them, I tried one of the keys and it unlocked the kitchen. About 20mins later, all doors were locked, and we were unable to use the kitchen at all. When we were leaving around 9:45AM or so, I tried to shout out "hello" in the hallways, to have someone to give the keys back to, but there was no reply. I've no idea where the host was. I just left the keys on the counter and left the house unlocked, not knowing if someone is inside at all. Very uncomfortable thing to do - making the guest feeling responsible for the host's house! Overall, this was a very strange and unpleasant stay and we won't stay there again.
