• Margaret (10/5): - Location was perfect. Very clean, comfortable beds, easy access. Dryer had an issue but owner indicated that it was to be taken care of.

The apartment was spacious, bright, and comfortable. We especially loved the balcony and enjoyed the view very much. Everything was generally good and we had a pleasant stay.

The bed needed a little adjustment and the sheets could be a little better quality , maybe a shovel for clearing the balcony ..
• Kimothy (10/5): This apartment was the perfect comfortable and convenient place to stay in Halifax. - The property is well maintained, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Check in and out was smooth and easy and staff was very communicative. I even happened to meet the building owner in the elevator and he was lovely. Just a suggestion (and may not be possible), but adding a luggage cart would make move in and move out much easier.
• Gillian (10/5): A clean, we'll equipped, modern and spacious apartment in a good location. - We enjoyed the security of the property, the underground car park, and access to a real person b (Jeff) to answer any of our questions. it was wonderful to have a washing machine and dryer for our use as we had been travelling for some time before coming to Halifax. It would have been good to have an electric kettle to boil water quickly rather than the steam kettle which took some time. Also, we were not informed that we had to be out of the garage before 9 am on the morning it was being high-pressure washed. The maintenance man was not very happy about having to move all of his gear to allow us to depart for the day. Apart from these, everything was great.

• Lissa (1/5): Bad business - The place was absolutely beautiful but the experience was horrible right from the start. I booked the unit based on the price was a total of around $200 dollars. After I booked it in the confirmation email it stated I was required to pay another three hundred as a damage deposit. Not anywhere on the page showing the total owed for the booking before I paid did it state that. I feel deceived. Somehow I managed to come up with the money and ended up checking in 4 hours late due to it taking me that long. Missed my supper that I planned and ruined most of our evening. I would have canceled and booked elsewhere but the refund wouldn't be received for 7 or more business days and I had no other money to pay for the night at a different spot as I am on a tight budget. Now when I checked out this morning I sent an email requesting my deposit back after calling and no one would answer the phone. Now four hours later I was just informed that the cleaners smelled cigarettes smoke so I wasnt getting my deposit back. No one smoked in the apartment. That is complete bullshit. I cleaned the unit prior to leaving too. The people ive had to deal with have been awful. I want my money back.

• Eric (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a friendly, safe area. - The location was great being walkable to city centre. Lots of friendly bars and restaurants in the area. I asked the vendor about the garbage disposal and got no response however I mentioned one of the cooker rings would not switch off properly and it was fixed very quickly. The garbage disposal was resolved when I asked a neighbour. Some information on how to work appliances and use to heating / cooling system would help.

• Brenda (10/5): Very cost-effective - I was pleasantly surprised by the bed and bedding — they were incredibly comfortable! The mattress was just the right firmness, and the linens were soft, clean, and felt luxurious. I had such a good night's sleep here. Definitely one of the best I've experienced! The location is very good.

I had to request check-in instructions from the host that were supposed to have been distributed in advance. I think there may be a miscommunication between Booking.com and the AirBNB host. The host was very responsive when I reached out, but I would have been out of luck if they hadn't been available.

• Amanda (10/5): Perfect stay in Halifax North End - The apartment was in a great location and it was huge! Way bigger than we expected from the photos. For a family, it's really comfortable. The balcony gave a great view of the city. Bedrooms were comfortable and we slept great. Has everything you need - kitchen was well equipped. There's a highchair in the closet too, which was handy for feeding the baby. The smoke detector is right above the oven, which meant that we had to wave a tea towel around it every time we opened/closed the oven when it was on. Probably not the best location for it!

Location is 10/10, we mostly ate & drank in the North End, there are a ton of options within walking distance (Luke's, Almonak, Agricola St Brassie, Hound & Dog). -

The underground parking is tight but manageable...was happy to have car off street at night! A rack to hold suitcases and get off floor would be helpful..no dressers...
• Greg (10/5): Gold standards when it comes to customer service and hospitality. 10 out of 10 - We loved everything about this property. Location was great, access to the building and room was great. The space was very clean and very comfortable and the underground parking was a wonderful bonus. The greatest aspect of renting this property was the fabulous communication between the Units owner and myself. He was extremely personable and professional and made himself accessible to any of my questions with a very prompt response. The gold standard hospitality we received from all aspects of this property will have us recommending it to all of our friends and family and will be using ourselves in the future. There was absolutely nothing we didn't like. This unit provided us with everything we could have asked for and more. I couldn't think of any way to improve it.

Everyone enjoyed the beds, the location (30 min walk to downtown/waterfront or a quick uber/bus) and the ability to cook. The view was incredible. There was no frying pan for eggs and that the parking situation was tight (but nothing they could control but something to keep that in mind).

Lots of extra towels, washing detergent, paper towel and things like, oil, salt, pepper and coffee. Really appreciated the cleaning supplies present in the apartment like sponges and vacuum were also appreciated. No information binder but the property contact was quick to answer questions.

• Joan (8/5): Clean, spacious apartment in a prime neighborhood for food, public art and historical sites. - Very clean and spacious. Fun, walkable neighborhood. I wish there was AC in the bedrooms as they get very hot on a sunny day. There were two mixups with access to the apartment. We were give a door code that didn't work and then someone else entered the apartment one of the days as they were mistakenly given the apartment number and door code for their reservation. Thankfully, both issues were taken care of in a timely manner.

TV in primary bedroom did not have any cable or apps available so unless you brought your own Firestick or HDMI cable it was not usable. The parking space provided is a little tight if you have a larger vehicle.

The location was fantastic in a lovely neighbourhood, only a 20-minute walk to downtown Halifax. Fantastic balcony with floor to ceiling windows with a lovely view of the surrounding skyline. Great to have private parking. Would rate this property 5 star. There was nothing lacking in this property.

We recognize this is a newer rental and you may still be planning to do these things but..... *Would have loved a cozy chair in the living area. One sofa offers no options. * We had no dish towels (probably an oversight by error). * Would definitely recommend door sweepers be installed on bottom of front door and bathroom door to eliminate unwanted sounds from echoing through the space. *Parking gate stays up for far too long

Had I known more than 12 hours in advance I would’ve booked a different location. Or wish it could’ve been looked into a different time and not during the 24 hours I was there. I also found the entrance and parking info confusing.

• Lederman (10/5): Halifax is a lovely city and the stay at this apartment made it so relaxing and enjoyable. - It was a beautiful penthouse with a lovely view of the rising sun. The patio was a great place to quietly sit enjoying a morning coffee (the coffee maker is the fastest brew ever!) or evening drink (though it was a little cool in November). The area has some great little "one of" stores; delis, bakeries, little cosy restaurants, all within a short walk. Getting downtown to the harbourfront was an easy 40 minute walk with a few steep climbs around the citadel on return. The apartment was great for eating in with everything you might need for a simple meal. Super clean and comfortable.

The wrap around patio was amazing, we watched the sunset and the sunrise. The fully stocked kitchen was wonderful and helped us save money as we prepared our meals each day. Beautiful tubs and showers. An excellent experience! I really can't think of anything other than the fact that I wish we could have stayed longer!

• Gene (2/5): Not a comfortable stay for us. - Location was good. 10 minute walk to downtown and restaurants. Easy access to highway The double bed was TOO SOFT! Sunk to the floor. Unusable. Slept on the twin mattresses which were firmer but the sheets were like sandpaper. Only XXXL size pillows available, so used a folded towel to sleep on. No curtain or blinds on the front door( which looked down the hallway into the bathroom). No curtain or blinds in the 2 kitchen windows. Not acceptable with no privacy. No access to the washer/dryer which we have never experienced before at a Airbnb house. We did not discuss these issues with the owner.
• Shelly (8/5): Nice property but incomplete information provided on specfic number of bathrooms in any specific apartment. Be sure and - The apartment was clean, nicely furnished, and in a good location. This apartment had only one bathroom for a two bedroom apartment. I would never have booked it had I understood this. On the Booking.com website, there were questions answered by the property, one of which was “How many bathrooms for a two bedroom apartment?” The answer was “2 bathrooms.” I wrongly assumed that any 2 bedroom apartment in this complex would have 2 bathrooms since there was not an option to select the number of bathrooms you wanted or a possible upcharge noted. I will specifically question the number of bathrooms next time I select an apartment property on Booking.com.

Luggage storage after check out. Communicaiton was excellent. Would recommend for next stay. Would like to see coasters and Kleenex, but not too sure that's a common item provided by hosts. Perhaps a guide to the city and what hosts like the most would give good ideas :)
