Because the hotel did something very unprofessional and totally out of blue: They told me my credit card got some problem so I got to use another one. As any one in China know this is a clear signal of criminal activity. So it took me and my assistant quite some efforts to sort things out -- I think this hotel chain is using AI to do the work and AI malfunctioned. But the hotel should take the responsibility.

Avevamo chiesto la possibilità di anticipare il check-in di circa un’ora e il proprietario ci aveva confermato la disponibilità. Tuttavia, al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato un appartamento in condizioni assolutamente inaccettabili: sporco, trascurato e ben lontano dagli standard minimi di igiene e da quanto mostrato nelle foto. Abbiamo immediatamente contattato il proprietario, che ci ha rassicurato dicendo che avrebbe provveduto alla pulizia e ci ha invitati a tornare dopo un’ora. Purtroppo, al nostro rientro la situazione era rimasta praticamente invariata, segno evidente che non era stata fatta una pulizia adeguata. A quel punto, non avendo alternative e non potendo soggiornare in quelle condizioni, siamo stati costretti a trovare un’altra sistemazione a nostre spese, con tutti i disagi e costi aggiuntivi che questo comporta. Abbiamo quindi richiesto il rimborso tramite Booking, allegando anche fotografie chiare che dimostrano lo stato reale dell’appartamento. Nonostante i numerosi solleciti, non abbiamo ricevuto un supporto adeguato: la richiesta è stata respinta perché il proprietario non ha accettato la cancellazione. L’unica “soluzione” proposta da Booking è stato un buono di 25 €, che non copre neppure una minima parte della spesa sostenuta. Siamo profondamente delusi, soprattutto perché ci si aspetterebbe da una piattaforma come Booking maggiore tutela per i clienti in situazioni evidenti come questa. La gestione è stata poco professionale e completamente sbilanciata a favore del proprietario, nonostante le prove fornite. Allego le foto per mostrare le reali condizioni dell’appartamento al momento del nostro arrivo.
