• Benny (10/5): Sehr gute Unterkunft und freundliches Personal - Sehr schöne und saubere Unterkunft. Das junge und engagierte Personal hilft einem gerne. Alles in allem eine der besseren Unterkünfte in HCMC. Mir hat es dort gefallen. Wenn ich wieder in der Stadt bin werde ich hier nochmals buchen.

I also appreciated that they responded quickly to my messages, and the early check-in was smooth and easy. — The bed was extremely uncomfortable — to the point where I could feel it in my ribs. I even tried sleeping on top of the comforter to make it softer, but it still didn’t help. The pillows were also uncomfortable, and even after asking for different ones, it didn’t improve much.

• Levent (9/5): It is little bit difficult to find but it is the best place I have ever stayed during my Vietnam trip - The staff is great. The room is exceptional. You will have a enormous with a bedroom, kitchen and a quite big bathroom. Bui vien street is 10-15 mins away by walk. It is in a quite silent street. It is quite difficult to find the hotel especially if you arrived at night and you are not used to the Vietnam streets. Even the local grab drivers are struggling to find the hotel.
• Dominika (8/5): Lovely stay in a very local neighbourhood - We stayed here for 2 nights. The staff has been very accommodating and welcoming. Even though we stayed at the top floor (5th, no elevator) they carried our heavy luggage upstairs. The place was clean and well maintained. The description of the address was a bit confusing even for our taxi driver. The extra fee for card payment is inconvenient. It hasn't happened to us in any other hotel in Vietnam

• Niamh (9/5): Ideal stay for a 3 day trip to Siagon - This was a perfect base for three days in Siagon. The apartment was clean, the tv had Netflix access and Daniel on reception was so incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was on the fourth floor but Daniel helped us with our bags and the steps weren’t so bad. Maybe if you were less fit, request a room on a lower floor but for us it was perfect. Very small point but we didn’t like the dark sheets on the beds, harder to verify that they were clean.

• Hannah (10/5): Fantastic! Would stay here again and again - G9 Homestay was a perfect base for our first visit to Vietnam. The location was great, the staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. We used the laundry service and was staggered by the value for money and the speed of the service. We asked to leave our luggage after check out, as our flight wasn't until the evening, and they could not have been more accommodating! We ordered a takeaway to the homestay one night, and they Grab delivery said it had been delivered without the kindness of the staff member on the front desk we would never have gotten our food. They were so helpful, and hospitable. We would stay here again for sure!

• Julia (10/5): Dobra lokalizacja, miła obsługa, bardzo czysto. - Przyjechaliśmy do tego miejsca przypadkiem, po tym jak nas oscamowiali w innym hotelu. Jak go zarezerwowaliśmy- godzinę później byliśmy na miejscu i to był strzał w 10! Lokalizacja ekstra- wszędzie blisko. Pokój fajny, wszystko co było potrzeba, od żelazka, po suszarkę, po pastę do zębów, szczoteczki i golarkę. Pan pracujący na recepcji udostępnił nam mapę tego co warto zobaczyć w Ho Chi Minh, jak i gdzie warto zjeść. Bardzo, bardzo polecamy!!!! Było baaardzo czysto, aż byliśmy w szoku że jesteśmy w Wietnamie :) Nic

• Tom (8/5): Good - Clean, airy, comfortable rooms. Staff very nice and attentive. Shower hot and air conditioning good. Reasonable walking distance to the centre. The room I had looked out over to what I can only believe to be some kind of a Government building / police station? Every morning you would hear a lot of noise coming from there, sometimes quite early on (5.30am). I appreciate the staff cannot do anything about it, but I was getting a bit frustrated having my sleep broken. Can also be a bit difficult for Grab drivers to find.

Das Bad schien sehr neu zu sein, wir hatten eine saubere Küche und einen kleinen Balkon. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, kann es nur empfehlen! Es gibt keinen Aufzug, war für uns kein Problem aber sollte man beachten wenn man Probleme mit Treppensteigen hat

• Aleksa 🇷🇸 (9/5): - Room, toilet, kitchen, TV all good, air-con and fan, working very well. Comfortable beds and various pillows. When we wanted to stay longer they let us stay and gave us a discount as well, also you can leave stuff in lobby and collect later, but be vary of their working hours. Location is very good, can walk to almost everywhere from there. Taxis can't really reach all way to hostel so they might leave you not too far away No elevator, so if you have suitcases it can be issue, but we even had someone take ours, so fair play for that! They restock fridge every 2 days and clean, so not like its a big deal, but it's nice to have cold water every day if you forget to get some.

• Susan (6/5): - Nice interior in the apartment which is relatively spacious for Vietnamese accommodation Technically in district 1 but a poor location for tourism (about 30 min walk to any attractions). Other reviews describe it as hard to find, we didn’t have this issue when we visited. Beds and pillows are uncomfortable, no daily housekeeping and very poorly soundproofed - we were woken every morning by what must be a trumpet followed by chanting from a presumed academy nearby. No lift. Laundry service very overpriced for the area (60k VND per kg vs 75k VND for 5-7kg in a launderette less than 100m away who do collection/delivery). Handy to know reception closes at 16:00 so we had to find a luggage storage for a late flight. For the price it’s ok (about €20 equivalent per night) but could definitely get better value.

They gave us recommendations of places to visit or eat in the city and they can organise tours for you. Would recommend staying here!

If you want to relax, I would definitely recommend this place 100%. The only downside is that there’s no elevator, but for me, it wasn’t an issue.

• Long (10/5): A very scientific arrangement. - I like everything in the property, the friendly attitude of the reception, the enthusiastic support from the manager,…what a professional service and nothing to complain about them. Except one thing only I hope they can enhance in the future, it’s about the lift. Maybe the clients like us don’t need to have an elevator for lifting people but we will prefer an elevator for baggage. It will be convenient for clients and the receptionist each time they have to carry heavy baggages to the upstairs.

• Mikhail (8/5): There is something to improve, but I definitely liked it more than in other hotels - First of all, I want to say that the staff are very friendly and cheerful guys who are always ready to help Comfortable bed and pillows in the room Relatively normal table, your knees don't hit it, a little narrow, but acceptable Very pleasant soft lighting for the evening Also, when cleaning the room, the staff wash dirty dishes There are attractions nearby, as well as several delicious cafes, one of which has cats (RoomB, The lost cottage tea house) There is also a large TV with ready-made Netflix accounts There is not enough soundproofing, you can hear what is happening on the stairs behind the door Also, despite the quiet area, the neighbors sometimes like to make noise and closing the window does not really help (I would recommend updating the rubber gaskets near the windows or even installing them if there are none) Also, the room heats up quite quickly, the air conditioner certainly saves from this, but it is difficult to sleep with it because, firstly, it makes a little noise, and secondly, it is directed directly at the bed and you will most likely catch a cold if you sleep while it is on

• Kaisa (9/5): Comfortable and spacious room, friendly staff, central location - We stayed here for more than a month, and it was a really comfortable base for exploring HCMC. It felt more like an apartment, including a full size fridge-freezer and a stove, which is ideal for a longer stay (there's no need to cook with so many restaurants nearby, but was nice to be able to make some breakfast or a snack at home). Cleaning was provided every two days, and they also have a convenient laundry service. The commercial centre of D1 is within walking distance, and it's also within easy reach of D5 (Chinatown) and other interesting districts. Staff was very friendly and helpful every time we had some minor issue, so we felt very safe and reassured. Even though some other apartment hotels may be slightly cheaper, I think the quality of the service makes it 100% worthwhile to stay at G9. Warmly recommended for both longer and shorter stays:) Although the location is central, it's inside an alley that's difficult for cars to enter, and bike drivers often get confused. We would usually walk a few minutes to the main street before getting a Grab. It's not a huge inconvenience but can be annoying especially when arriving/departing with big luggage. With that said, I also enjoyed walking through the maze of alleyways - the atmosphere is calm, and there are lots of local shops and restaurants. There were some cockroaches, but I understand this is almost inevitable in SEA. The standard of cleanliness was high, but the bugs are hard to beat ..

I can make simple meals. I'm so glad to find this! Another joy is to wonder thru the back alleys in this residential area, which is what I like doing when I travel - get glimpses of how the locals live. Very friendly and helpful staff! Very attentive and polite! They're contactable thru Whatsapp and can get in touch with any questions at all. Nothing!

• Vaida (9/5): Superb - The apartment was just like the pictures, clean and tidy. The staff was helpful and friendly, even helping to set up Netflix on the TV. There are good restaurants to eat around and the night walking street. The location is a bit away from the center, either a 30 min walk or a 15 min taxi, not a big dealbreaker though.

• Sheu (9/5): Overall, it is a nice clean place with friendly staff, but the place is a bit hard to find. - The staff are amicable and always happy to help arrange airport transportation. While the location can be a bit tricky to find by taxi, just let the driver know where to turn to get into the alleyway. On the bright side, many great food options are nearby, and you'll find a hypermarket just a short 5–7-minute walk away. The room is pretty clean, but there are still some ants hanging around. It's not soundproofed, so you can hear the neighbors flipping light switches. Plus, with all the motorcycles and cars passing by outside, you can hear everything from inside the room.

I asked staff (thin guy) he said only me feel hot ????(my fault because only me feel hot since i was from Europe ???) - location is really difficult to find out - i stay in floor 4 and no elevator. - there are some mosquitoes inside that i killed (see pictures) - when i first came to check in, the homestay was closed and no people. Had to stay waiting for half hour. P/S: dont take the room number 7 when they offer you guys that room Everything, only the room is clean but nothing else, no elevator, no air conditioner..

• Bastiaan (6/5): Pleasant - An ok value for the money Difficult to find, small narrow streets far from the main road. It was very loud, we could hear neighbors and doors banging until 1 AM. Towels smelled weird, like they had been soaked in fabric softener but not properly cleaned. It was a one time stay before our flight the morning after, but honestly wouldn’t go back.

• Luca (9/5): Great stay in Ho Chi Minh - We had a grate stay at G9 Homestay. The room was spacious and clean, and though we did not use the kitchen, it was equipped with what's needed to prepare food. The location is outside of the center (it takes around 30 minutes on foot to reach the main square), but it's quite. From the city center, if you don't want to walk in the hot afternoon's sun, you can catch a Grab taxi for a couple of bucks. The hosts were helpful and responsive. We were quite suprised when we learnt that our hosts could not arrange a taxi from the airport. Not too bad, but a unique case in our Vietnamese trip. The 2pm check in rule is VERY strict :) not a big deal for us, but a heads-up if you plan to check in earlier, in which case you'll need to pay extra.

Very happy about the stay in general Only think I can think of is that the location, while great, was a little difficult to reach for grabs/taxis as it was in a pretty narrow alley. Not a big deal though, as it was possible to reach a much larger road by walking 3 minutes

Situated in quiet street, ask your taxi or Grab driver to drop you at main road, no cars can enter here, you must walk. Easy to find if you use Google maps. The beds are hard. The entry door on main floor is waking us up every time somebody comes in. Maybe the staff could put up a sign saying : “don’t smash the door”
