Easy walk to Lobster shack and local walking tracks. Night bright main room and bedroom. Comfy couch and good selection of classic DVDs for us to bore the kids with. Kitchen cupboards were a bit of a jumble and bathroom was quite small, but there are very minor criticisms.

• DON (10/5): Perfect for families visiting Bicheno. - We had a wonderful stay at Cedar House in Bicheno. The host was friendly, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The location is great, with the nearby supermarket, restaurants and penguin tours that we truly enjoyed. One of the highlights of our trip was fishing at the nearby pier, where we caught plenty of calamari and fish. It was a fun and memorable activity for the kids. The BBQ facilities were excellent, and the outdoor dining area made our meals even more enjoyable. Off-street parking was very convenient—our large Kia Carnival fit easily with plenty of space. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend Cedar House to anyone visiting the Bicheno area.

The house had everything a family needed. We did do any cooking but the kitchen facilities were complete if we wanted to cook. Walking distance to the main street and to Lobster Shack and to the beaches and walks. Lived having an extra toilet in the laundry There was no clock in the house - just small issue The bedside table lamp in one of the front bedrooms didn’t work.

• Colin (8/5): Great getaway with everything you need - Great property with everything you need. Beach towels were a nice addition. Lots of space for a family. Deck was lovely and inviting for home cooked meals. Bright and airy and very welcoming. The stove didn’t work properly. Some of the burners didn’t work at all and others heated up a little but not enough to cook. Needed to make scrambled eggs for breakfast on the BBQ.

The house had everything we needed and the kids loved the toys and bunk bed. No instructions on how to use the gas grill, the stove top was also not working properly and some of the cookware was a bit wonky.

• Dani (10/5): Great house to stay with kids - Beautiful 3 bedroom house. The kids absolutely loved the bunk bed and toys. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and having a BBQ, or sitting in front of the fire place. Short walk to the town centre and to the ocean. Behind the house is a hill where you can walk up to Whaler's Lookout.

Plenty of wood to keep the fireplace going. We couldn't find a mop - this isn't anything major however we would have liked to give the floor a once over on checking out. :)

• Richard (9/5): Great Stay - Great location, very clean and functional. An easy stroll to town and beach. I'm pretty fussy, but I would be very happy to recommend this place to friends and family. A few windows didn't have flyscreens but not such a big problem in winter.

The north facing wrap around verandah's, warm fire and location were a highlight. One of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in. Highly recommended 👌 Nil
