Guest Reviews
- Dan Dan (10/5): - The house is very close to SEIYU supermarket and subway station, and community enviroment is especially quiet in the evening, the overall security situation is good as well, neighbors are kind. Stay in Cosmo House, you can buy daily use things conviently and also can take subway to any shopping malls quickly. Tokyo is full of charm, if someone would like to find a place where is quiet to stay, Cosmo House is PERFECT.
- Ian (8/5): Not a bad spot nice and quiet - Nice and quiet located conveniently to convenience stores as well as a station. The bathroom smelled of mildew

- Youri (9/5): Great stay, had a great time, it reminds me of my grandmother’s house. - The location was great! It was close to Shimaruko station which allowed easy travel to Shibuya and Shinjuku. The owner has great communication, precise instructions, and is very friendly. The house was very cozy The shower has hot water, but the faucets in the kitchen and washroom do not seem to have hot water.

- Jitesh (10/5): Value for the money - Very close from the station , very clean and very organised.MacDonald , restaurant and seven eleven just within 100 metres. You can catch a direct bus( airport shuttle)to and from the airport.
- MEGAT QAMARUL ZAFFI (10/5): Perfect homestay close to Haneda - Homestay tucked away in a quiet lane in busy Tokyo. Home was on the ground floor, very comfortable beds. All amenities was complete. The aircon worked fine to heat up the rooms. 2 rooms with 2 single bed each. Walking distance to train station, convenience stores and restaurants. Highly recommended. No bidet in toilet.
- Jessie (9/5): Great for group backpackers - The location was good. The owner was quick to respond and to any questions. Very professional.
This place is excellent for backpackers in a group. There was a hiccup with the cleaning service, but the owner communicated swiftly.
- Jessica (10/5): - Location was very conveniently located to a station, was a little tricky to find but clear instructions are given. Great response time from host. Beds were so comfortable! Enjoyed the bath. It got cold in Tokyo but air con has a heater mode so we were comfortable. Loved the charm of the home! Was so nice to experience having a little place to ourselves in Japan that wasn’t a hotel. This is not a spot that’s easy to send luggage to. We ended up sending bags straight to the airport and lugging other bags with us on trains/subways to get to the property. We had been spoiled so far by hotel luggage transport services across Japan. Walls are thin so you have to be quiet in consideration of neighbors. For some reason the bathroom smelled of urine (like upon arrival and when not in use). No special bidet here - we lamented not having a heated seat.
- Cody (10/5): Cosy quiet little home. - Great little apartment tucked away in a quiet street. Nice and close to train station and many restaurants. Perfect for a group of three.

- SNJ REMEDIAL (10/5): Good - The location was very convenient with lots of restaurants, and convenience stores within walking distance. The station was also very close. If the toilet could have been more clean, it would have been great.
- Gladys (10/5): -
- Nikolett (7/5): Good -
- Ruskyoleary (5/5): Great area but property is not suitable for people over 6 foot. - The area was perfect for us. It was about an hour away from Shibuya and the main sights, but the train station was a 5-minute walk away, and the trains were every 10 minutes. The public transport system in Tokyo is excellent, so it is easy to travel around Tokyo. The beds were very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep there. The accommodation was smaller than I expected compared to the photos, but this seems to be the case everywhere. If you are over 6 feet tall or have a bigger body, you literally won't fit in the bathroom. I'd say this property is suited to four people max. It also needs a deep clean. The beds and bed linen were clean, but all other fabrics were not. An easy fix with a good cleaning company. There is air con in the two bedrooms only so I'd say it gets very hot in summer.
- Leanna (10/5): Lovely authentic trip! - We had a fantastic time in Tokyo. We stayed as a family of 4 with two young children. The place was easy to find with the direction sheet and Katsuo was really prompt at replying to any messages. The check in was easy to follow step by step on the iPad.
It was a little chilly when we were there but we set the air conditioning on to heat mode and that worked well. The shower was hot and good pressure. The beds were comfy with plenty of extra bedding if needed. The microwave and kitchen facilities served our needs for making dinner with food from either family Mart, 711 or the supermarket behind the station- all within a five minute walk. There was a washing machine- which we didn’t use, only because it was too cold to dry our clothes, although I’m sure the laundromat around the corner would have had a dryer if needed. There were plenty of towels, and slippers. Wifi worked well. (We used pocket WiFi we borrowed from the airport for when we were away from the house but perhaps would opt for SIMs next time).
The location was around 30minutes -1hour by train from most major attractions that we visited, which worked well for us. We just had a Suica card on our iPhones and visitor passes for the kids (but maybe would be more cost efficient from a metro/train pass if we returned, although journeys were not expensive). We would take the train from Shimomaruko to either Kamata or Tamagawa and often change there. The journey is over ground so it was nice to see some of Tokyo that way- the Meguro river with cherry blossom was viewable on the train in the Tamagawa direction which was fantastic. I felt staying out of the centre of Tokyo gave us a wider experience of the city.
I am quite a light sleeper, so I was glad that I took ear plugs as there was the occasional emergency service siren from a local road during the night and some minor noises from the upstairs apartment- which the rest of my family slept through with no problems.
- Runa (6/5): Individual house with two bedrooms can accommodate family of 4 adults but need improvement with regard to hot water and - It was a complete house/apartment quite close to the station and access to shops. The neighbours seemed helpful and cordial when we had to wait outside of the property for not able to locate the address and the key. I would say the area is relatively peaceful as well. the property location was not traceable on GPS and has trouble locating the house and getting the key took some time because of communication gaps. No in person support was there and had to do check in using iPad at the property. Bedrooms had an air conditioning but the hallway, kitchen and toilet didn’t have one and would needed to keep bedroom sliding doors open to warm up sitting areas. Water heating system was there only for the shower only and not for the kitchen basin and toilet basin. An instruction leaflet of heating switches would have helped us from freezing cold of Feb. The instruction manual to reach the property could have been shared much earlier by collecting guest’s ID rather than sharing those together just one day prior could avoid confusion and guest’s frustration.
- Sary (9/5): We spend a nice week here - I liked the comunication with the owner. The street was nice and calm. The station is very close. The matrass was great and very nuce to sleep on. My son is 2meters heigh and was actally funny how low ceiling is. But is manageable.
- Lilian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tsz (7/5): The checkin/out process is easy with the manual. A nice place to stay in suburban Tokyo - The layout is spacious, suitable for group of tourists. It is indeed very close to the Shimomaruko station. It is easy to find what you need in the neighborhood. The cleaness of cutlery have to be cleaned thoroughly before use. The toilet is functional, but it is loose and the ventilation is poor.
- Peter (10/5): It was an amazing place, beds were comfortable and I felt super comfortable. Would book again - The beds were excellent and the bathroom was great. I loved how cozy the location was, great booking. I did not like how the living room was set up and how cramped the toilet was. It was hard to open the fridge without moving the table around.
