Important Information
Bright Escapes reserves the right to hold Credit Card details on file as security for any damages, excess cleaning and any extra charges that may be incurred during your stay.
These card details will be securely kept for 14 days after departure and any damages or additional charges will be charged to the card within that time frame if needed. Once the 14 days after departure has passed the card details are automatically deleted from our secure system.
Some properties require an additional cash bond to be held (advertised on individual listings if applicable.
Bright Escapes reserves the right to claim compensation from the credit card provided in the event of:
The accommodations is not left in the condition it was found in relation to building, cleanliness and grounds.
This also applies to any furniture and fittings that are not returned to their original position.
If excess cleaning is required beyond our allocated cleaning time of a property due to lack of care from guests, this is inclusive of extra cleaning required due to pets (see full pet terms below)
If the amount of bedding that is used exceeds the number of guests that have been noted on your booking without notifying Bright Escapes.
If keys are not returned to the lockbox at the property, or a key is lost or damaged, a $25.00 fee will apply.
Guests that fail to depart by 10am without having made prior arrangements with Bright Escapes will be charged for the time our cleaning staff are kept waiting to gain access to the property.
The BBQ is not clean, a $75.00 fee will apply.
When finalizing your booking, the primary guest acknowledges that they have read and understood these terms and conditions and that they are responsible for the compliance of those rules by all other guests as well.
WIFI Conditions (Applies to properties that provide WIFI)
While we do anticipate WIFI will be available during your stay, it is not guaranteed. WIFI availability is dependent on the
network provider.
Bright Escapes will not be held accountable for network errors.
Strict NO PARTY Policy
All disruptive parties and events are prohibited. In the event of disruption to neighbors, Bright Escapes will gain possession of the property immediately and guests will be asked to leave with no refund.
Keys
There will be 2 sets of keys at the property. 1 set in the key lockbox for access, the second set is located inside. Please ensure you return the lockbox key set to the lockbox immediately after accessing the property.
This will be your backup key in the event of lockout!
Please use the keys located inside the property during your stay.
$100.00 call out fee will apply for lockouts when keys have not been returned to lockbox.
Lost Property
Please ensure personal items are not left behind. A handling fee of $80.00 plus postage will be incurred for return of property.
Firewood
Firewood is provided to all properties that offer a wood fire from 1 May - 30 September. Outside of this period you are welcome to purchase firewood at your own expense.
If the allocation of firewood is used up, guests will be required to purchase more if desired.
Smoking & Vaping
Bright Escapes has a strict no smoking or vaping policy inside all our houses.Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.

Beautiful modern unit in the heart of bright. Can't fault the location at all, almost Riverside, can easily walk to Bright Brewery or Tomahawks (both highly recommended) in 2 - 3 minutes. Off the main road but still quiet.
There was plenty of firewood for the coonara wood fire place to keep the upstairs toastie.
The feel of the place is crisp and smart, white walls, white linen paired with the rustic feel of wooden sliding doors and wooden staircase. The kitchen also has most things you need, except the ever fabled sharp kitchen knife 😅
We didn't use the balconies much - because winter. But they have 2 in this unit and one has a BBQ.
Honestly, it is a great stay. Things that we found could be improved.
The floor is a beautiful polished concrete but during winter -freezing, all the time - make sure to bring your slippers.
No amount of heat from the fireplace reaches the bedrooms downstairs, so while you're cosy up there when it comes to bedtime, it was at least 15° cooler - the house rental next to it has the better floor plan - living space downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. There is of course heating in the bedrooms, but they don't compare to the fireplace warmth.
The sliding bedroom doors (despite looking very aesthetic) lost the battle to gravity- The bunk room door rolled open immediately, which meant the lights from outside streamed in to illuminate the bedroom at night, and the main room door, if left just right - only rolled open about 10cm. The lack of handle on the inside of the doors was an odd choice.
Helpful having a washer/dryer but despite multiple attempts and googling we were unable to make it work as a dryer.
We were also coming home from the snow daily and found it difficult to dry things due to a lack of a clothes horse. Our solution for drying our clothes (including washed items from the washing machine) was to drape wet clothes over the balustrade railings.
Not major, but the bathroom has only 2 towel rails - which meant the towels for 3 people were still damp between uses.

- Jason (8/5): A gem in the geart of Bright. - Loved the location. The facilities were amazing. It was great to have a fire every night after a day at Hotham, which this year was not the best. Anyone going to Bright this is worth the stay. Just a recommendation about the mattress. Mattress in the main bedroom is terrible. It sags and needs replacing. The mattress on the bottom bunk is more comfortable. I'm not sure what they are using, but you can see how bad it is just by pulling the cover back. That's the only whinge and for the money expect quaility sleep.
