Guest Reviews
- Jemmani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ravindra (10/5): Exceptional - The room was clean and furniture was nice. Location was good. Kitchen facility was good. No lift but the property was on first floor only.
- Sahori (10/5): It’s a great for small group to stay for convenience and easy checking in and out. - It’s convenient and quiet to stay. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. A small window of the entrance gets light from the outside, and it makes the living room (where a sofa bed is) bright. I wish it would be covered with something to make the room dark for sleeping on the sofa bed.
- Simova (8/5): Very good - The place is good, near the station. The staff is very polite.
The neighborhood is not bas and we had really tasty dinner in cozy restaurant close to the apartment but at night I wouldn't stay at the street. Unfortunately there was very big noise almost all night from people who were at the bar right next door. They stayed all night under the apartment window and it was really unpleasantness and even scary. They yelled and nobody dared to tell them anything almost all night.
- Thomas (1/5): Extremely Disappointing experience with We Home Apartments - European Commissionor involved. - From the outset, we were met with rudeness, misinformation, and a complete lack of responsibility.
The listing clearly stated that the apartment had air conditioning — but on arrival, it wasn’t working. When we reported the issue, we received a sarcastic response: “Providing air conditioning and having it work are two different things.” We were then told about a supposed “law” that air conditioning cannot be used before mid-June — a claim that is completely unfounded.
When we challenged this, we were told that we “should have informed ourselves before travelling.” This was not only unhelpful, but patronising — especially since the listing on Booking.com made no mention of such restrictions. In fact, it stated the opposite.
This all occurred during a heatwave, with temperatures reaching 34–35°C, making the apartment unlivable and the lack of working air conditioning absolutely unacceptable.
I have formally requested a refund, as the service provided did not match what was advertised — a clear breach of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), which protects consumers from misleading commercial practices and guarantees the right to accurate information when booking services.
I also have evidence and screenshots of our communication to support everything stated above.
To make matters worse, while the company responded publicly to a Google review with an apology, they have completely ignored all private emails and Booking.com's repeated efforts — including five emails and multiple phone calls. No one has replied or taken responsibility behind the scenes.
The European Commissioner for Consumer Protection is now involved in this matter regarding We Home Apartments and Booking.com due to the ongoing failure to resolve the issue fairly.
The staff were rude, uncooperative, and made no effort to resolve the issue.
- Anonymous (9/5): Quick stop in Milan - The bed was very comfortable, and it’s in a cool neighbourhood with lots of food options. A bit complicated to get in as it’s inside a gallery, but the host was excellent with directions and instructions
- Abdul (1/5): Disastrous - Nothing at all Be aware of this apartment on the day of my arrival no one contacted me when I messaged them they told me the apartment is not ready and they will give another apartment which was not cleaned and was in a mess as shown in the images, and was in another neighborhood which I didn't like when i tried to contact them to fix the problem they made the support was rude and disrespectful and didn't even try to fix the problem they caused .
I strongly suggest to stay away from this apartment as it seems they will send to other apartments and farther locations and don't cooperate with you.
- Ana-marija (10/5): Exceptional -
- Renee (7/5): Excellent location and clean - Location was great and clean. Received confusing information regarding the self check-in. Missing few essential article in kitchen like spoon good pan
- Kamil (7/5): Great location with plenty of restaurants and bars - Great location with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The apartment was spacious, well-equipped, and had a very comfortable bed. A great place to stay! The noise insulation could be better, as sounds from upstairs neighbors were noticeable. Overall, still a good stay!
- Isiada (4/5): Give this apartment only to young people who smoke weed, not to families. - Location, it was near station and the shopping area The sofa wasn't comfortable to sleep. The bar right under the windows is very noisy, they smoke weed and all the smoke goes into the apartment and we couldn't sleep for 2 night. Not for family or if u are with kids
- Leticia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Colin (10/5): Great place. Great location . Many restaurants and buffet near by. Close to public transport. - Loved the location close to centrale.
Many restaurants near by. Could not keep the door for the balcony open as there was smoke smell coming up from the bar downstairs.
- Lorewheeler (9/5): Superb - beautiful place, great location, easy to access nothing
- Christina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Viktoriia (8/5): in general, everything is fine, but as I already indicated above, the room is not fully furnished for 4 people, the sofa - location, price, repair, communication with staff, cleanliness no bed linen on the other bed, also towels only for two guests, although the check-in was for 4 people
- Bogdan (4/5): The apartment is renovated and could have potential in the future, but at this moment I do not recom - Location is good, near Porta Venetia. Very easy to go to Duomo, in 10-15 minutes. A very nice walk after dinner. And if you don't want to walk, you have Metro very close... Although the check in can be done from 15:00, the apartment was not ready even at 18:00 when we actually arrived at the location, moreover, renovation/replacement work was being done on the entrance door. Although such things can happen, they are communicated.
Being with family after a very long drive, it was the last thing we needed, to wait. Had we arrived at 3pm, I wonder what the solution would have been?
Of course, cleanliness was lacking after the renovation, shampoo and soap were completely lacking.
I must mention, although not directly related to the host or the apartment, if you come with your own car, with foreign license plates (not from Italy), under no circumstances should you park on the street with the apartment. Our car was broken into as the street was populated, with nice atmosphere, bars , etc....
- Ahmed (2/5): very uncomfortgable because there was no hot water and we couldn't take a shower and rest - Good location. Nice flat Bad communication. The owner didn't answer the phone and text.
There was no hot water, and he didn't try to solve this problem, which annoyed us very much
- Kean (7/5): Fine for a stopover but the customer service was very impersonal and not very friendly. - It was convenient and fine for maybe one or two nights. Bathroom was very nice as was the bedroom. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and the children couldn’t sleep. There was a difference between check out time on booking.com (11am) and with the apartment owners who said we needed to be out by 10am. At 9:30am some cleaners turned up and said they needed to take all the linen and towels, whilst we were busy trying to get ready to leave.
- Gonçales (1/5): Worst place I ever stayed - Nothing. The location is awful, very noisy. Couldn't sleep due to shouts in the street until 4 am. The air conditioning was very hard to make work. Started working only after 1h trying to fix the controller. Until that I was sweating and sweating. Terrible. But the worst thing was the shower. After a long trip, all I wanted was a nice shower... nope, COLD WATER!! It was impossible to take a shower, I had to sleep dirty, ahh... it was the worst place I stayed in years. And when I texted the owner, absolutely no answer for a long time, and when they answered, it was to say that they couldn't do anything... Terrible customer service, run from this place!!
- Alfie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Łukasz (3/5): Poor - Noisy street + terrible check in / checkout experience - they are using vikey , the checkout time is shown as 10 at the property even though its 11 on booking when I booked. The vikey stopped working after 10 and we couldn’t close the apartment door
- Roj (10/5): Exceptional - I had a perfect stay at this apartment. The staff were incredibly helpful, and everything was just right. Highly recommended!
- Pawel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arailym (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andreea (6/5): Pleasant - The appartment is decent. Still I couldnt sleep all night as a big group stayed right downstairs, drinking and talking all night.
- Olesja (6/5): Below the average - The apartments are located within walking distance from the central railway station, comfortable contactless accommodation. Suitable for 4 people. We checked in late at night; there was no toilet paper or a drop of soap in the apartment. It was very cold at night. Both air conditioners in the apartment did not work (turned off). There was dirty laundry in a bag in the closet. There is a bar right under the apartment, where people were very noisy until 6 in the morning. It was impossible to open the window because tobacco smoke came straight into the room. The front door does not seem secure and needs repair.
- Tomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iliyan (1/5): Bad - We had the most unfortunate experience with this Airbnb. First, we were told that we can make our check in at 14:30, but they didn’t send us the code, they weren’t picking up their phone, so we had to wait for like half an hour outside in the cold. We were visiting in late November, so the weather was very cold. The heating wasn’t working, only the AC was (and the AC wasn’t working well). The blankets were VERY THIN, so we texted them to bring heavier blankets; they said they will, then texted us late, around 9pm, that they won’t, so we had to sleep with very thin blankets while it was 0-2 degrees outside. They had a coffee machine without coffee capsules (which was a first). And the sofa, which turns into a second bed, was very uncomfortable to sleep on.
- Baiba (8/5): Location, location, location - Location.
Attentive host. There was a problem with room cleaning after the previous guest, but got solved very quickly.
A bit noisy bar under the windows with smokers.
- Roland (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dzianis (6/5): After registration (payment), you need to pass verification - VIKEY - Working air conditioner. Comfortable bed The heaters didn't work. No soap, no shower gel. Creaky parquet. The sound of creaking parquet from the neighbors above.
- Laura (2/5): Overpriced & disappointing - felt really cheated. - Very depressing place to stay overnight. Photos were misleading. Didn’t provide basics like sheets for the sofa bed or soap. Part of the bathroom door frame fell off during the night. Overall a grim experience.
- Escalona (3/5): I a m not happy the place though it's clean but it needs to repair some parts and the stove is broken. It's been - Apartment is clean but needs to repair some parts inside the room. Upon arriving the place is not ready.
- Emil (6/5): Too expensive for that - NA Not a very good location, right under the windows is a bar that works late into the night where it is very noisy, they drink and smoke marijuana and all this noise and smoke goes into the apartment
- Sandra (3/5): Poor - Comfortable inside, access to unit and communication very frustrating. Noisy all night both bar downstairs and adjoining units vacuuming, banging impossible to sleep all night .
Bidet broken.
- Giuseppe (9/5): Superb -
- Stefano (1/5): I don’t understand how booking can offer this kind of location - impossible to sleep because is just on the first floor above a bar open and noisy till 2.:30 am
- Sin-yun (10/5): A Cozy Apartment Near Milano Centrale Railway - After a tiring day of traveling, we only stayed one night at this apartment, and it turned out to be exactly what we needed. The location is incredibly convenient, as it is quite close to Milano Centrale Railway, making it easy for us to continue our journey the next day.
Upon arrival, we were pleased to find a clean and spacious apartment awaiting us. Both the bed and the sofa bed were comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep for everyone. Additionally, the presence of several nearby restaurants provided us with ample dining options to choose from, adding to the overall convenience of our stay.
The self-check-in process was seamless, thanks to the clear instructions provided by the host. We were able to effortlessly access both the building and the apartment doors using commands from our smartphones, which added a modern and convenient touch to our experience.
Although our stay was brief, it was certainly a pleasant one. We appreciate the hassle-free check-in, the cleanliness and spaciousness of the apartment, and the comfortable sleeping arrangements. If you're in need of a convenient and comfortable place to stay near the train station, we highly recommend this apartment. Although initially concerning, the door being opened by a smartphone was mitigated by the presence of an extra lock inside the apartment, ensuring our security and putting our minds at ease.
- Evellyn (9/5): Superb -
- Nicolas (1/5): Unintuitive lock and unresponsive owner - Location and cleanness The lock system is unintuitive and the owner did not answer my call. That lead to an unnecessarily stressful situation.
- Mohpey (9/5): Superb -
- Mihnea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hung-nien (8/5): Amazing - Apartment: Nice decoration inside the apartment.
Location: It costs about Euro 10 to 15 to travel from the central train station to the apartment. Or, you can take the tram and walk if you don't have heavy luggage. The remote key system was a little bit strange during our stay. It might be my personal issue... I would suggest the host get a new one which is easier to use for a fool like me. But if other people don't have such issue, please ignore it. And it seems there is no lift in the building, although it's only on 1st floor. (or second floor in JP and TW)
- Pedro (9/5): nice - clean, well organized, modern the door can be tricky but once you get the hang of it it’s alright
- Klajdi (10/5): Exceptional -
