- Brian (9/5): Comfortable well equipped and newly refurbished cabin and a lovely site. - Very peaceful lakeside setting close to nature, property recently refurbished (we were the first ones in 12 months after the cyclone in March 25. Comfortable. Owner helpful and easy to contact. Just a few teething problems that no doubt will be sorted for future guests (pool not available, WiFi not working, washing machine not working). You need a car to get around as it’s not that close to the main beaches and restaurants along the esplanade.

The free to air channels which we like to watch were not able to be viewed (unless one of us stood up and held the antenna cable)

- Thijs (8/5): Very good - Nice cabin in a lovely setting with lots of birds and some turtles. Plenty of facilities and comfortable bed. Decent pub next door in the hotel. Horrible wifi which only seems to be working on the outside of the cabin (it does work on the tv though). Cleanliness of kitchen cabinets was below par. Bathroom is pretty basic.

Great attention to detail and basics like washing up liquid, tea and coffee provided (even a welcome box of chocolates). The owners were responsive and went beyond expectations to be helpful. Hope to return for longer in the future 😃 The bed is a little hard.

- Trickyt (9/5): Three days of blissful peace in a natural lakeside paradise. - Unit with lake view and access. This was very peaceful with plenty of wildlife around. Probably one of our most peaceful locations for quietness, nature and ambiance that we have ever stayed in. There were frozen peas on hand to feed the turtles. Kitchen was well supplied with crockery, cutlery and condiments, tea, coffee etc.. Unit has dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, aircon, fireplace. There was even a picnic basket available should we have wanted to pack a picnic lunch etc. We definitely want to return to experience the solace again. Owners/hosts were friendly and responsive. Very little really. Kitchen light did not work but owner had called electrician to repair same.

A washing machine and dryer - The balcony was good and having appropriate food to feed the turtles. Not far from the beach front. After check out, it was hard to get out of the property. A bit of a walk to restaurants.

- Andrew (9/5): A very relaxing and comfortable sanctuary - The cabin is very well-equiped, comfortable and a great place to relax. The east-facing verandah, over looking the lake is exceptional. We stayed for 3 nights, but this is the type of accommodation where you could easily stay for a week or more and really enjoy. A bright, airy cabin with comfortable chairs, a ceiling fan and an a/c (which we didn't need). Some drawers or a space to unpack clothes would be useful.

It was quiet and close to the Esplanade and Marina for whale watching tours. The unit has been renovated and has a lovely fresh feel. The TV is huge! There were some basic grocery items such as salt and pepper, tea, coffee and oil for cooking,
- Liz (10/5): Turtle Cove Lake Front Cabin is absolute bliss, calming and so relaxing. Definitely somewhere you need to go to get away - The sheer peacefulness of cabin 28 was complete bliss. Love the decor and all the inclusions. Will definitely book here again. The sounds of all the birds is amazing and beautiful. Probably the only thing was the small mirror on the bench in the bathroom was too low and small. I missed a wall mirror in the bathroom but could use the one in the cupboard.
