Guest Reviews
- Corissa (1/5): - Dirty Dirty
So damned filthy
- Patrick (9/5): Nice quiet motel - Close to the Hospital where I had to go
- Richard (8/5): -
- Wayne (8/5): Otherwise, we were very happy with our room. Thank you. - The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quite. It was a keyless entry method which we were happy with. We couldn't connect to WIFI during the whole stay. We had spoken to the receptionist about the WIFI connectivity immediately after we had arrived.
There is no key to open the back door to the patio.
There were no towel racks in the bathroom. Instead, we hung the towels over the cupboard door to dry during our stay.
- Catherine (9/5): -
- Stewart (8/5): - The rooms have been upgraded since my last stay, very nice, comfortable bed & good shower set up - shower head was great above my head height. Auto outside lights went of late for me - after 10PM
- Lesley (8/5): Would stay again when in town - Clean - good parking - nice hot shower - comfortable bed A little out of town and our room faced the highway so there was a bit of noise
- Robert (9/5): - Clean and not far from attractions.
- Tammy (9/5): - Easy access and check in Basic. But nothing to dislike.
- Graham (7/5): -
- Peter (3/5): Other than the accommodation, it was a great few days - No receptionist ,no food available,4 motels are being run from one location, paying customers treated like crap, never again All of it
- Christina (9/5): -
- hartley (3/5): - Quite location good distance from town centre
Love the no key so much easier Rooms/walls were a bit grubby
Possum on roof or something running around around you would hear a loud noise then something running
Felt a little creepy when I first pulled up not sure if it was because no one was around or what
- David (6/5): Ok, except for the fridge. Good price. - Unit was clean. Bed was great. Preferred room and facilities last stay except for the fridge. Fridge on both occasions that we have stayed with you we had to defrost it so it would get cold. No where to hang bath towels - no hooks. Cuttelery was lacking. Only one large plate, 1 desert spoon and 1 teaspoon. Did not match.
- mark (9/5): - Upgrade works Need towel racks in my room
- grant (7/5): - great pillows staff where very helpful. n/a
- Breanna (8/5): - Tucked away and quiet
- Paul (8/5): -
- Reidar (9/5): - Mack og WIFI.
- Bessie (8/5): -
- Johanna (2/5): Very disappointed in the motel. Also it was a public holiday so we could not go inside the attraction. - Size of room was good. Fridge worked. Paint on the curtains. No fly screen on bathroom window allowing the insects to come in. I went to the bathroom throughout the night and the sink and floor was full of live insects. Shower flooded. We had to put towels down to stop the water going into the bedroom. tiny vanity. Pillow were hard and bed uncomfortable, no remote for the tv so we had to ask for one. I would not recommend this motel at all.
- Richard (10/5): - Renovated and lovely room
- Alex (9/5): -
- Richard (7/5): -
- Michellle (8/5): Great stay. Dogs welcome - Room clean and comfortable. Secure. Grounds well kept No food available on-site
- Administrator (8/5): Clean & comfortable - good value - Clean & comfortable Noise from other customers
- Debbie (10/5): I enjoyed every minute of it. Great place, wonderful people and lots of wonderful things around us - The location was perfect for my son & I to walk to Qantas Founders Museum, the airport to collect our hire car & Stockmans Hall of Fame. We could walk into town easily and back if we preferred to walk. We were able to go back to the train by motel shuttle bus when it was time to go. I have no complaints.
- Rochelle (9/5): Friendly staff with fantastic service. - Staff were fantastic. Friendly and so accomodating! I felt welcome and that any request was not too much to ask. The room had no plates or cutlery. The beds also didn’t have blankets on them, although did have some in the cupboard to use.
- Sasha (6/5): -
- Georgia (8/5): -
- Melissa (8/5): -
- Ron (5/5): After I finally got a key to my room (marathon effort after a long day), the room was quite good. - The receptionist came looking for me after I could not locate the place to check in. The office closed at 6pm, and I arrived at 6.15 pm.
The checkin place for the Jumbuck was not at the Jumbuck.
- Melanie (7/5): -
- Lily (10/5): -
- Darren (7/5): - Facilities Very dark around the property and no street lights.
The kettle was very dangerous as when you poured the boiling hot water out it went everywhere and burnt my hand!! Not Safe!!
- Patrick (10/5): - Nice big clean room close to the hospital where we had to go
- Daniel (5/5): Not worth the money - Had a bed and shower Everything else was crap. Renovations happening, no staff
- Alfreida (9/5): Great location, friendly and helpful receptionist Maddie. - Located in a quiet area with ground level access to my room. No meals were available No towel rails or hooks in the room to hang wet towels. No vanity cupboard to store items, very little bench space on bathroom bench to place toiletries.
- Susan (5/5): -
- Ian (3/5): Location - Location The room had no towel racks, pillows like bricks.
Chair was dirty. Where shelf was placed you could hit your head when making a cup of tea
- Paul (8/5): - An absolute oasis after a long day travelling in 40 deg heat. The room was air conditioned and had a ceiling fan. And a jump in the pool was wonderful.
- Kenja (10/5): Easy check in, very generous rooms for the price, easy location to find. -
- Deborah (7/5): Was great for parking long vehicles. We were towing a long boat and there is plenty of parking around the hotel so no is - It’s a good stop over for a break from a long trip . It’s all we needed really. It’s not really walking distance into town . You need to drive
- Mulry (5/5): -
- Clinton (7/5): For the price charged would not stay again. - Location was good. Unit was roomy
Tidy Arm chairs were badly stained. One looked like it had blood on it. We used a towel to cover them before sitting on them. Both need cleaning.
Reception was at another location down the road. Very average place charging a very high price. Not worth it.
- Tanas (10/5): We stayed for 2 nights but could have stayed a week. - Spacious room with new bathroom. Everything we needed was available. You need a towel rail or two in the bathroom
- Paul (7/5): -
- Gary (4/5): -
- Eng Hwa (7/5): good environment - Clean and pleasant environment No hair dryer and no laundry bag
- Emily (10/5): -
- Robert (3/5): Clean but in desperate need of remodeling and better upkeep of property - Shower pressure good & shower head good gave a lovely shower
Close to Town & the tourist attractions
Manager, she was from Ireland, on arrival was very lovely & helpful & continually apologised for having to change multiple rooms No towel racks in bathroom
3 pillows provided all very high loft no other height selection
No ABC or SBS coverage on TV
Only wine glasses provided no normal drinking glasses
Had to change to 3 different rooms as the previous 2 all had issues with them. The 1st did not reflect the pictures of the room booked of looking out over an extensive grassed area(see photo#1) what we got when checked in was a room looking out on a metal fence( see photo#2). Contacted manager & got Room change number 2 then found couldn’t open sliding doors. Contacted manager again room change number 3. This room was ok but didn’t have proper selection of plates & cutlery & wine glasses so had to swap items like plates, cutlery, & wine glasses between previous room and current room.
Toiletry items weren’t replenished each day like soap & shampoo/conditioner even though room was cleaned each day for our 3 night stay.
Not enough blankets supplied. Our room had 1 thin coverlet & the nights were cold.
Motel seemed run down. Needs a complete room renovation overhaul as we spoke to a number of other guests who all said it was run down & they wouldn’t stay again. Looks like bathrooms recently renovated, albeit with no towel racks & splotches of black & white paint on floor tiles & wooden black painted door with holes in it where I assume was previously a towel rack.
- Brian (9/5): Excellent - Quite and peaceful
- DENISE (7/5): good pet friendly motel - Room was clean and well appointed nothing
- Phillip (6/5): -
- Wayne (10/5): - The spacious room was awesome and the location was brilliant.
- Lynne (9/5): Great work - Location, quiet and cleanliness was great, as well as the pool. The beds were a bit hard for me and family.
- Brown (3/5): - The toilet seat lid was broken
- Felicia (10/5): -
- Rosemary (9/5): - Quiet. Great location. Walking distance to stockmans hall of fame & qantas museum. Light & airy. Laundry facilities available.
- Ammar (8/5): -
- Narelle (7/5): - We stayed st the Albert Park Motor Inn The Pool.
- Trevor (6/5): It was a satisfactory stay and it was clean and tidy. - Quiet clean and good location comfy bed Freezer frozen solid, limited ability to wash dishes in Small shallow bathroom sink.
- Robert (7/5): - Disable facilities Noisy AC
Loose gravel in carpark made difficult for the disabled to move.
- Fran (8/5): No staff at the location which is weird - Roomy
Bed comfy and big
Nice bathroom No fan in bathroom
No towel rail
- Dr Anne-Marie (6/5): Was pleasant enough - The Location Each person must have a towel, a hand towel and a face cloth. This was sadly lacking in the rooms and I had to ask for hand towels and face cloths .
- Barry (10/5): -
- Trevor (10/5): - Very close to everything that we needed, clean and comfortable Everything
- Geoffrey (6/5): Over priced for what get - Great shower No towel rails to hang your towels
- Geoffrey (4/5): - The staff were very helpful and friendly the bed was comfortable Room lacked no where to hang your bath towels no drawers to put your clothes or your items as far as we feel it was very costly for what you got
- Grant (7/5): -
- Christina (6/5): Big room but expensive - Room was big and a wonderful shower Cobwebs in the room
Reception closed
Very expensive
- Benjamin (5/5): -
- Julie (1/5): Do not stay here... worst ever - Nothing No exterior lighting .. had to use our phone to light the way.
Sliding glass door standing open when we got there.
Room was "constructed" very poorly. The counter made of plywood. Electrical outlet by bed pulled half out of wall.
Couldn't close bathroom door
Doorknob on Bathroom door about 20 cm from top of very tall door.
Shower floor very slippery.. no safety
- Chris (10/5): -
- Anthony (8/5): It was close to the sites we wanted to visit and a nice walk to shops for coffee and a look around - The BBQ area was not like the one in the picture. The BBQ had been replaced buy a cheaper one.
- jesse (8/5): -
- HELEN (3/5): - No breakfast facilities . A long wa out of town had to book a taxi to go into town to have breakfast. No food facilities at all. TV didn’t work. Bed looked like it hadn’t been changed. Lipstick on the cup. Code to get into the unit. Code didn’t work. Had to call a staff member, her code didn’t work had to be given a key. Eve was so helpful. Would appreciate if booking.com would let you know at the time if booking that there is no reception and a code is needed to get into the units.
- Abbie (10/5): -
- Sabrina (5/5): TLC REQUIRED. - We stayed about 3 years ago and it needed painting and freshening up then. The wifi didn't work and the microwave needed a degree to work. Needs serious TLC for the price. My stay in Sydney was cheaper and it was an apartment.
- Angela (10/5): Happy with everything - Everything Nothing
- Helen (7/5): -
- Linda (7/5): I was warm, comfy and so happy wth the price. - Bed and linen and towels were beautifully new and clean and fresh. Room was quiet. Bed was very comfy. Shower remodel and bathroom were lovely. Storage was more than adequate. 👌🏼 There was no towel rack anywhere.
I didn't know how to get channels or stream anything on the tv.
My wifi code didnt work and the screen froze after i tried to put in my code. I accidentally got the tennis channel so that was ok.
The motel is a little rough and ready, deserted and dark because there was no office onsite but i understand that it is easier and more cost effective to have the office at the Albert. The entrance is too dark and so is the sign.
- Luanne (10/5): -
- Emily (10/5): Great stay with small kids - Clean Nothing
- Paul (7/5): - Low clearance to drive in
No check in staff to talk to
Matress on the bunk very thin
- James (9/5): - Great Customer Service, Clean Rooms, Great size modern bathroom with amazing shower head, Split system worked well, Great amount of shelving and hooks for belongings, convenient to the major tourist attractions and the Pin keypad for the door is a brilliant idea as you can't forget your key....
- TRISHA (8/5): - That you just have to press a code to enter the room. Nothing big, just that we had booked for 4, and the crockery and cutler were only enough for 3. So me cutlery packs were missing forks etc. There are also only 2 chairs and the table that was in the room was already used for the microwave etc. So nothing to really sit and eat at.
- Mark (6/5): -
- Raymond (8/5): -
- Patricia (9/5): Great stay, would stay here again. - Comfy king bed. Room had been recently renovated. Patio doors opened onto terrace and garden great for our dog. Well equipped. Hot water took a long time to come through.
- Janelle (7/5): -
- Pam (10/5): -
- Michael (3/5): Disappointing.. we have stayed in a lot of motels and try not to be picky or critical but this one w - Bed was horrible, terribly uncomfortable/very hard..not enough warm blankets/ pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. No hooks etc in bathroom/ water would go out of the shower & into toilet space etc/ certainly was not clean and it was old, needs updating in a lot of areas!
- Michael (6/5): -
- Alan (1/5): Dreadful - Nothing Reception poor.Double booked our room so no room available for one party.Dirty room ,carpets, dirty sheets on the bed ,most uncomfortable bed,no duvet, everything was cheap unclean and badly maintained .The worst motel I’ve stayed in in the last 25 years and over 100 motels.
- Kathleen Frost (5/5): - The second night was good. Newly refurbished room.
Staff responsive. Although the room was clean, the first room smelt strongly of dogs/cats. Room deodoriser did not help. There were barking dogs in the room next door
- Alan (1/5): -
- Carole (8/5): Would stay again. - Great location almost opposite Qantas museum. Dog friendly!!!
- Madonna (10/5): Very comfortable, well equipped and lovely and clean - Clean, accessible, comfortable
- Susan (6/5): Pet friendly in Longreach - Good size room, and pet friendly. Easy to book in and out online. Nothing was connected to power eg. TV, bedsides so there was a bit a furniture moving needed to reach power points. One bedside didn't have a light bulbs and one of the bowls wasn't clean.
