• Esme (10/5): Good value twin room, close to airport. - Comfortable beds, good location (although it took me 20-25 mins drive to the airport on a Sunday morning), everything was clean. Easy to find, plenty of street parking. Good value for the price. Heater & blankets under the bed was great for a chilly night. Shared kitchen and lounge room to use (although didn't bump into anyone else). No complaints. A small lamp in the bedroom would have been a great addition

• Janet (8/5): Interesting! - The price Advertised with a private bathroom but really anyone else staying (no one was ) could have entered. It is a 5 bedroom house with 4 bedrooms upstairs and the one we had downstairs. Main bedroom upstairs with the ensuite is rented seperately to the other 3 who have to share the other toilet and bathroom. All the living areas are downstairs and shared. The kitchen is full of oddments that travellers have left behind and obviously has not bèen checked for a long time. Contents of the freezer quite interesting. They advertise late check in so spent the night in our very small stuffy room wondering if anyone else was going to arrive and disturb us.. Our room was advertised with garden view. The grass which badly needed mowing was all we could see. Owner was great with his communication via messenger but wonder how long since he has actually Visited the property. Had to go upatairs and steal some toilet paper from another toilet.

• Philippe (8/5): Café, apéro et relaxation - Pour un prix vraiment raisonnable, nous avons réservé 8 nuits et nous avons bien aimé. Premièrement, parce que nous avions accès à toute cette grande maison style victorien : 2 salons avec de grandes tv, une cuisine équipée d’un lave-vaisselle, 2 fours, cuisinière, vaisselle, air fryer… avec 3 bancs de comptoir et une table, une salle à manger pour 8 personnes, terrasse avec table patio pour 6 personnes et vue sur un jardin. Vous pouvez faire votre lavage et l’étendre dehors sur un rack. À quelques pas d’un arrêt d’autobus ou sinon 15 minutes à pied qui nous rend au train de banlieue qui nous amène en 30 minutes au centre-ville. Si vous restez au centre-ville, vous n’avez pas besoin de payer les tramways, car c’est gratuit. Dong, le propriétaire, est aux petits soins pour nous, il est vraiment à l’écoute de nos besoins. On se sentait comme chez nous. Allez-y, ça vaut la peine.

More lights are needed. My visit was under extreme pressure as I could not find any other accommodation close to the Airport. On their WEBSITE it says 12 minutes to the Airport. This is incorrect. It is actually 35 + minutes to the airport. No Night Lights.. Very hard to find

The owner is a very kind and helpful person who cares a lot about your well-being. We were able to keep in touch with him any time. We enjoyed our stay there a lot :)
• Shorten (10/5): Highly recommend staying here with a big group of people - I loved how friendly the host was when we arrived we did have someone else occupying one of the rooms but the other guest wasn’t around so we ended up having the house to ourself which was a fun lil experience. The house felt very inviting and was easy to get around especially with help from the host at check in

Terrible mattress Terrible linen and having to share the kitchen and community areas our bathroom which was meant to be private was actually assessable by the other guests as it was next door to our actual room. Both mine and my partners jewellery was stolen from the bathrooom as we removed it before having showers

Called upon arrival and was met by owner within 5 minutes. Excellent premises with security I would like to copy at my home. Off street parking. Would suit persons travelling for business as it is close to the Airport and has facilities one could meet/entertain. Absolutely nothing to dislike. The owner most accomodating.

• Sharon (9/5): Nice accommodation! - We were overwhelmed when we entered the house. We didn't expect to be sleeping in a whole house. We just had one room but the community area is huge. We really felt like at home. Access was easy and well organize. We could leave our luggage there until after check-out. Quiet neighbourhood. Just for your information: We paid around 40$ for the Uber from the airport to the house. There is at least one take away in walking distance (SS Rotti Palace). The community areas were not heated and hence quite cold. We couldn't find any spare rolls of toilet paper so we ran out of it. The handsoap was also empty but luckily we met the host and were able to tell her.

• Lynn (8/5): a gem of a place and fairly close to the airport - we were received really warmly and shown around by the owner. the place is huge and we were lucky enough to be the only ones staying at the property at the time so we had a huge house all to ourselves! unfortunately the hot water system is a bit faulty and you only get a certain amount before it stops to heat up again, which is problematic if the house is full and everyone wants to shower one after the other. also problematic if you're filling up the hot tub in the master bathroom (which is what happened) we got cold water a third into filling, and no one else could take a hot shower.

• Ian (5/5): It was OK for a stopover night but not what I expected. - It was cheap enough at $99 I wasn’t aware it was a homestay so it was a bit daunting arriving at 8pm to discover that. I had two single beds which was ok but no TV or mirror or clothes hook.

As we booked late in the day, our code hadn't been set yet when we got there. My son was very panicked at the time. But when we got ahold of property owner he sorted it very quickly.

• Rob (9/5): Superb - Easy check in. Large and spacious living area. Less than 20 sheets of toilet paper provided on a mostly used roll .We only discovered there was no replacement after midnight. We searched every room and. cupboard in the house for more but there was none to be found. So we had to resort to trying to find the odd bit tissue paper in our pockets and luggage and use what remained of a box of paper hankies.

• Karen (4/5): Not what I expected. More like a shared house than a motel. - The owner was very clear with instructions. It was a suburban 2 storey house with rooms to stay in, not a hotel or motel. Was hard to see that in the booking photos. No way to cool the room, no fan or air-conditioning. Noisy neighbours playing music and shouting to each other. Shower had things in it owned by other people. It felt creepy and awkward to be seeing it in there. There was no space for my items while I used the shower. The shower mat was used by everyone I think, but it was dry when my family member and I used the shower consecutively. Yuk. The kitchen sink area had dishes on it, and I was uncomfortable using the area as it did not have any space left. We were told not to wear shoes inside, and the owner wanted us to use pre used indoor slip on shoes = no way, that was a disgusting thought. We wore our socks. No eating in the room rule. As 2 females we felt uncomfortable to use the shared eating areas (2 other men there that we saw), so we went outside. Wouldn't go there again.
• Fisii (10/5): Best Place To Stay! - The host is extremely understanding and helpful. Dongdong is a great conversation starter, and he will offer his knowledge on things that are relevant to you. He is also very kind, honest, and such a happy person! The room and bathrooms are also neat and tidy, and the living areas and kitchen are too. There is plenty of space in the house, and it is a very comfortable place to stay. You feel almost at home and are able to treat Dongdongs home as if it were your own. :)

• Wendy (4/5): Unfortunate - The kindness and willingness of the host when Booking.com did not communicate my early arrival to them. I did not want a shared bathroom, but because my room wasn't ready, I did not have a choice. The other guest/guests were loud and one man was abnoxiuosly horking outside my room and I was not comfortable leaving my room or using the common bathroom after hearing it. The house is not sound proof and the men/man was very loud in the kitchen waking me at 7 AM. If you are a single female I would not advise this arrangement. I couldn't wait to leave unfortunately.

• Ian (8/5): It served its purpose for an unscheduled stop in Melbourne at a reasonable cost. - We selected this property because properties close to the airport were booked out because of flight cancellations. We had arrived from Cairo to be told our Sydney flight was cancelled and we were rebooked for the following day. Storms in Sydney were the problem. The property is more than 12 minutes from the airport and it is a $50 taxi ride. With excellent instructions from the owner we were able to access the key lockbox and the coded entry to our room. Unfortunately, not having a car meant we couldn't go out for dinner so we just gave it a miss. Having a comfortable bed in a well appointed and spotless house was a bonus after 24 hours spent getting to Melbourne from Cairo via Doha. I wish we had arrived earlier in the evening.

The room didn't have a bathroom which the booking.com site reads as though it has. Need to cross the lounge room to access bathroom. The beds were bunk rather than 2 singles which weren't convenient. This should be stated on the site.

• Jeff (7/5): Easy and convenient. Would stay again. Floor vent issue should be addressed though. - Convenient. Super clean. Easy check in, even though it was after normal hours…thanks! Room was very warm (25C) on arrival with hot air blowing out of a floor vent. There was no way to adjust this inside the room (no thermostat on the wall), had to place a blanket over the vent and open the window. Wasnt a big deal but was not as advertised.
