• Anonymous (4/5): Full review part 1 (if allowed to submit a 2nd: character count was met before I was finished) - The host had great communication and quickly answered questions that I had. Part 1: For the price, I should have known we were getting the greatest house. We paid around $660 for 3 nights, which nowadays is a great price. Unfortunately, the house left much to be desired. Parts of the house have been updated, like the bathroom counters and showers and the kitchen. Those are beautiful, however the rest of the house is very dilapidated. I did reach out to the host with all of the issues I will list today. He seemed receptive and did ask for specifics so his team could address them. I appreciated that. I read reviews before booking and some of this was mentioned but the pictures did look great, and we needed a house in this area for a baseball tournament with no other options, so I did book. In hindsight, I wish we wouldn't have paid to stay here. While $660 is a good price for accomodations for 3 nights, it is still a lot of money. From the front door, you could already see the lack of attention to detail. There were big spots on the front door unpainted the current color from when new hardware was added. A slightly unpleasant smell permeated the air upon entry from the first day. There were dirty smudges and marks on many of the walls throughout the house. The round AC vents in the living room ceiling were riddled with visible mold. They look like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The air conditioner does not "keep up" with the FL heat. It was warm long after we went to bed and didn't cool off effectively until well in the night. The fan in the bedroom that I stayed in did not work. The fan in one other bedroom worked but only on the slowest speed. Anyone that lives or has stayed in FL during summer knows how important working fans and AC are, and they did not at this property. The edge of one of the bedroom doors had been splintered and the broken piece was haphazardly screwed on with the sharp point of the screw sticking out.
• Simone (6/5): acceptable accommodation, attentive host, room for improvement - House in very good location. Big Pool. The host was reachable by phone at any time. Malfunctions were resolved quickly. Easy check in. House was clean. Good washing mashine an dryer. The house takes up to 8 people. It has 4 rooms. 2 rooms are directly connected to a bathroom. 2 rooms share a bathroom which was accessible via the hallway, no hair dryer available. 1 room comes with an individual AC, the other 3 rooms + the livingroom have a zentral AC. We never figured out, if the AC could have been set , so that the temperature can be set separately in each room. We all had different perceptions of warmth, so some of us just always had to suffer at night, because it was either too cold or too warm for one. There is no table and chairs for 8 people to sit down and join breakfast, lunch or dinner together. Neither outside nor inside. There is a counter and a small bartable with 5 chairs to sit. Besides that a sofa and some launch furniture ouside. That made having meals together very uncomfortable. The kitchen is also very poorly equipped with kitchen utensils. We got along, since we were only five people, but for 8 there would defently not be einough dishes. There is no coffeemaschine only a capsule machine, that we didnt want to use, brought our own french press. The house doen´t have a dustpan and broom. When we asked for it, the host offered to send a cleaning crew for $75. He told us that guests don't usually clean the houses. We found this very strange, because we found it normal, that in a stay over 12 days every once in a while guests want to broom sand or food of the floor. For this no cleaning team is necessary. We than lend a broom from a relativ and bought a dustpan. What defently has to be done, is clean the covers from the outside furniture. They had foxing and nobody really wantet to sit on them with no towel underneath it. Also here there are only two sun loungers. For 8 people way not enough. In the end, we must say that the pictures on booking look much nicer than in reality. The holiday home is generally OK, but does not quite meet the price-performance ratio according to European standards.

• Mary (1/5): Pictures are nicer than it is, NO HOT WATER - The backyard was nice, however the pool was very dirty as was the outside furniture. We did not have hot water for the duration of our stay. We repeatedly messaged the host and he waited nearly 24 hours between Friday and Saturday messages to respond. Additionally three of the four bedrooms are in the main part of the house, however the fourth bedroom is down a hall well away from the others and off a non air conditioned hallway. Its right up near the outside backyard access door. We were not comfortable having someone sleep in the room so separated from the rest of our family. The pictures make this property look very nice, but its definitely grungier. There's filth in the bathroom vents, the showers all have yucky bits in the silicone waterproofing, the walls are slightly dirty, the house smells a little musty. Its fine, but don't expect the pristine, new looking property the pictures make it out to be. Additionally, there are 'No Smoking, No Vaping' signs in every room. Not a problem for us because don't do either, but it made it feel cheaper. The coffee maker did not work. Lastly, there are video surveillance cameras outside and a sign that says you're being monitored. We were very unsure if this meant video monitoring inside as well.
