Überall kleine Zettel mit Drohungen was zu höheren Kosten führen kann wie z.B. die Benutzung der AC. AC nur im Wohnzimmer, in den Schlafzimmern nur ein Ventilator

Enkel parkering på baksidan av huset. Fint bäddat i båda rummen. Saknas hiss så bra att veta att det är tre trappor upp med mat och bagage. Poolen är pytteliten vilket vi inte hade förstått.

A kid friendly pool suitable for warm weather. Easy access for fishing across the road and we experienced friendly neighbours too.

• Michael (10/5): The site of a koala was spot on, there was one in the tree in front of the premises. - After ascending three flights of stairs, we retrieved the key from the lock box, took a bit of time for some reason to get it open! Anyway. We were pleasantly surprised on the size of the apartment and the view! And it was quiet. We were only two, had a choice of bedrooms, together of course. And we used the pool, all to ourselves. Of course, we liked the communication with Lynne throughout the whole process also. Only having no lift and walking up three flights of stairs but we were aware of that when booking and we got used to it

• Barbara Anne (1/5): Exceedingly stressful experience and will not recommend this apartment to anyone. - The likes were outweighed by the dislikes The locks were faulty and not fire compliant (according to the locksmith, which was in writing on his invoice) which caused us to be locked out of the property and because of this we had no choice but to pay the bill for $337 dollars, on the spot to allow us to retrieve our luggage, medication, and phones out of the property. When the owner arrived 4 hours later from Sydney she said she would pay for the locksmith, but later said she wouldn’t pay because it was our fault that the locks did not work. The owner told us initially via a message not to use the top lock, which was covered by duck tape, which we did not! However, this did indicate to us that the lock must be faulty.

• Sean (10/5): Beautiful and peaceful getaway - Located in a beautiful spot with views of the bay and nature. Even though it was raining for most of our stay, the apartment was so comfortable and easy to enjoy the peace and quiet. Booked in dinners at some lovely restaurants within walking distance where we enjoyed a quiet dining experience. Overall, an amazing getaway which we’d love to do again.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped with all extras to make for a lovely, cosy stay not really wanting for anything. Very well positioned with amazing tree-top & sea views out front, water-view sunsets to the left down the road (along with pelican feedings) and water-view sunrises to the right of property. Little breakfast cafe on jetty and waterfront restaurant dining available … just a short stroll away. Spotted a koala and 2 possums in the trees along with kookaburras & rainbow lorikeets. Shops, beaches & other eating out options close by. We’ll be back! Thank you Lynne. 3 floors up, 6 flights of stairs with no lift could present a bit of a challenge for elderly/disabled guests, parents with baby prams or surplus luggage etc. But for us currently as a short stay getaway, this wasn’t a concern.

• Andrew (8/5): Very good - Clean, Spacious, great views. Host responded to a text immediately. Late check (3.00pm) means you have to spend your first day living out of your car. Not so good if you're staying for two night as effectively you only get one day and as you're at beachside - chances are you've been for a swim and you're wet for the day.

• Liliane (10/5): Lovely apartment in a beautiful area, including the promised koalas! - The location and view were suburb. The apartment is very well equipped, from a complete kitchen to DVDs, CDs, board games, Netflix, good WiFi and nice toiletries. Comfortable beds with lots of pillows. The swimming pool is also a nice bonus. The only ‘downside’ is that there is no elevator. Not bad when you just want to go out for a walk but not great when you have bring your bags up and down.

The apartment is well equipped and comfortable.. location in easy reach of Nelson Bay etc…. We just loved this place and we will definitely return

Really enjoyed our stay with a very good sea food restaurant nearby. Would certainly recommend and stay again. Lovely area. We were fortunately travelling light as would have struggled with normal suitcase as 3 flights of stairs and no lift to the apartment we had - No 17. Had problems with Apple Maps finding the location as maps just did not match up correctly (note not a fault of the property). However, soon sorted. Make sure you read instructions in advance about picking up door key but once understood, no problems.

• Dale (10/5): A perfect getaway with everything you could possibly require provided. - The views and location. Soldiers Point is quieter and laid back compared to busy Nelson Bay, with no metered parking spots (a pet hate of ours) and great eating destinations only a short walk or drive away. Our host Lynne is always available and very helpful and friendly. We prefer this personal touch rather than dealing with a Real Estate who doesn't respond to inquiries and has a long list of additional administration fees and requirements not quoted in the original tariff. Our secret getaway is way too popular and we are finding it hard to find a booking even twelve months in advance.

• Jan (9/5): It was a relaxing stay . - Had amazing view from the unit from every room . The unit was exactly as advertised . Very well appointed. Was close to the marina where we had amazing food . Club was in walking distance and a courtesy bus was available to pick up and drop home if needed. The stairs were a bit hard but it was advertised as third floor with no lifts. So not unexpected. By the time we had been up and down a couple of times it seemed easier .

• Dale (10/5): We loved our stay at Soldiers Point and plan to return in the summer. - The location was perfect and the views were spectacular from every window with 180 degrees of unbelievable scenery. The surrounding gum trees were even lit up at night. The unit was spacious, clean, and comfortable, furnished to a modern and high standard, with sunlight filtering into every room. We were supplied with everything we required and more. The wildlife was very interactive with regular bird visitors to our balcony and yes, we did see a Koala across the road from our unit, who chose to stay for a day before moving on. We were surrounded by wonderful restaurants, venues, and activities and loved exploring all the hidden coves and beaches. Lynne was available to answer all our questions and was the perfect host. We feel refreshed and revitalized and are already planning a return visit. Thank you, Lynne. At 65 we struggled a little with our baggage to get to the fourth floor, but the views were worth it. Next time we plan to take smaller luggage to make this easier. The allocated parking @ # 15 was tight, requiring a three-point turn and a lot of care getting in and out of your car, but the parking area felt secure and was on-site with easy access to the stairwell.

• Raquel (10/5): Wonderful mid week escape - I stayed in this lovely apartment for a couple of nights with my two daughters and granddaughter for a girls getaway and enjoyed every minute. The apartment is well positioned with stunning views and was very clean with everything you could possibly need for a tranquil seaside escape. The mattresses and bedding were extremely cosy compared to other places I’ve stayed in the past ..we all had the best nights sleep and felt very refreshed. The hostess Lynne was kind, helpful and obliging and very pleasant to converse with. Will definitely love to come back in the near future. This apartment has been saved in my favourites list. 10/10 😊 can’t think of anything really

Room very clean - the very low rating in a past review is unfair. Good quality and comfortable bedding. The landlord lady carefully decorated the apartment, kitchen has everything! The water spray of shower can be more comfortable if upgraded. Be prepared to carry luggage upstairs.

As other reviews have mentioned, there are around 50 steps to climb to the apartment. Not a problem if you don't have too much luggage or bad knees as the views are worth it. The bath also isn't full size.

Great on-the-water restaurants just a few minutes walk away and stretches of white sandy beaches opposite with no one on them which was a rare treat! Nothing, it was much better than expectations.

As other reviews have mentioned it's a few levels up without a lift but this didn't bother us. We will definitely be back. We couldn't stay longer!
