Christine (7/5): Functional and affordable with some room for improvement - The hosts were responsive and easy to work with. We booked at the last minute and they showed up within a reasonable time to let us in. The view from the 14th floor out the large windows is amazing. Two elevators make getting up and down easy and quick. Despite being in a multi-story building with several apartments, it was very quiet. The apartment itself is basic, but functional and commensurate with the price. There is a large refrigerator, a microwave, a two-burner electric stove, and a washing machine. Good water pressure in the shower. The Wifi worked well. Parking was available in the adjacent parking lot, and there is also a tram stop a short distance away. Within a few minutes walk are a bakery, two restaurants, and an ice cream cafe. A Rewe supermarket is a bit further away. There is also a walking path just outside the building that takes you into the countryside. Sleeping: The listing said 4 beds: 2 twin beds, 1 full bed, 1 sofa bed. There was no full bed, so not the situation we expected, but we made it work. I wouldn't have booked this if the listing had been accurate. Kitchen: There was only warm to hot water in the kitchen. No cold water. The coffee maker didn't work (30% of the water brewed and the rest stayed in the tank). There is no lighting over the dining table, making it quite dark at night. Bathroom: There was significant mold on the bathroom tile, perhaps because there is no way to vent the windowless bathroom. Temperature: There was no way to control the temperature of the radiator in the bedroom. Sometimes it was cool and sometimes it was very hot -- in June. TV has limited channels. Perhaps 5 of them worked.
