Julien and Fred were welcoming and friendly hosts and any questions they were quick to respond with personal recommendations. The shop is a lovely little addition with its pre-made gourmet meals. We cooked in the kitchen and decided not to go out for dinner so we could enjoy our evenings in front of the fireplace. What a magical place. I look forward to staying again! <3

• Maik (10/5): Julien und Fred sind herzliche, aufmerksame Gastgeber, die mit viel Liebe zum Detail und einem perfekten Gespür für ihre - Die Gastgeber Julien und Fred waren äußerst hilfsbereit, freundlich und professionell. Sie haben es geschafft für einen da zu sein, ohne dass man es als übertrieben oder aufdringlich empfunden hat. Daher fühlte man sich von Anfang an sehr wohl. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll und in unterschiedlichen Themen gestaltet. Da wir insgesamt 3 Zimmer mit der Familie in Anspruch genommen haben, war für uns der gemeinsame Aufenthaltsraum / Wohnzimmer ideal um zusammen zu kommen. Ich kann nichts bemängeln. Une chambre d'hôtes comme nous n'en n'avons rarement vues. Une très belle maison décorée avec beaucoup de goût et de soin . Malgré la diversité et la quantité d'objets, tout est à sa place sans être surchargé. C est vraiment très classe. La chambre au calme et la literie très confortable. L'accueil de Fred et Olivier fut super sympathique. Et le petit déjeuner servi par Fred était très gourmand avec tous des produits de terroir. La boutique bien achalandée donne vraiment envie de goûter aux produits. Certes cela vaut une note de 10 à tout point de vue. Et si nous avons l'occasion... nous reviendrons. Man möchte sich überall nur hinsetzen und schauen und verweilen. Super ausgestattete Küche, die man mitbenutzen darf, das ist sehr praktisch. Landestypische, saubere Zimmer mit hervorragenden Betten. • Marleen (10/5): Een droomverblijf in de Ardennen!! - Dit was een super verblijf!! We werden door Frédéric zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. We kregen er een rondleiding en voelden er ons meteen thuis. We kregen een zeer ruime gezellige kamer en grote badkamer ter beschikking. Onze kamer en het ganse huis is zeer smaakvol en gezellig ingericht. Er is een winkeltje met verrassend lekkere streekgerechten, waarmee we in de keuken ons avondmaal konden bereiden. Het ontbijt was eveneens super! We kregen een lekkere picknick mee voor onze wandeltocht. We hadden aangename gesprekjes met Frédéric, zelfs wat in het Nederlands. We zijn vol lof over dit verblijf! Werkelijk NIETS.

• Alexander (10/5): Künstlerisches Sommerhaus mit sehr netten Gastgebern - Die Unterkunft sieht aus wie ein malerisches Sommerhaus! Der kleine eigene Laden mit Lebensmitteln ist liebevoll sortiert und durchdacht. Auch die Kunst die man sieht steht zum Teil zum Verkauf was einem das Gefühl gibt das man in einer Galerie nächtigt. Alles ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und bis in Detail durchdacht. Man darf die Küche benutzen. Es ist bewusst so gestaltet das man keine Fernseher auf dem Zimmer hat - ein wenig digital Detox. Eine sehr feine Sache. Ich würde das Hotel zu jeder Zeit wieder buchen und zu jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Kleiner Geheimtipp Alles super

De woning en de tuin zijn met zorg ingericht en onderhouden Bij goed weer kan je buiten liggen op zonnebedjes of zitten aan tafeltjes om iets te drinken/eten uit de boutique met streekproducten (of een zelf meegebrachte maaltijd). Een uitgebreid ontbijt met liefde en zorg bereid (en met heerlijke koffie), wat wil een mens nog meer. . Door de ligging aan de straat hoor je het verkeer wel goed. Niet dat er heel veel auto’s voorbijkomen maar je hoort ze al van heel ver.

• Laureen (10/5): A gem in the Ardennes - What a wonderful discovery! We stayed two nights there with friends and make no mistake, this beautiful hotel has no peers for quite a distance. You drive into to this quaint little village and here stands this wonderfully restored house made of local stone and very tasteful fittings. In front of you the terrace, with a stone brick backdrop and beautiful flower arrangement, tables and chairs. To the left the local produce shop, to the right a discrete entrance into the guests common sitting room. You are instantly aware that this is somewhere very special. On entering, the attention to detail is simply phenomenal, you are wowed by the modern classic meets British country manor setup. Spotlessly clean with tasteful decorations, you instantly know you have chosen the right place. Frederic the co-owner welcomed us and you quickly realise that he takes great pride in this project, and understandably so, I should add. A very welcoming man with great local knowledge. He showed us to our rooms, each of which with a different look but always following the same theme, country manor luxury. Very comfortable beds, great bathroom fixtures & fittings and again just the right decorations to enhance the wow factor. Frederic took his time to show us around, explain how everything works and we ended up talking about nothing and everything in the kitchen area. The process here is pretty straightforward, the guests from the four rooms can cook for themselves in the evenings, food they have brought along or buy and heat up some of the wonderful local cooked recipes from the store. Prices are reasonable and you can also purchase desserts and of course choose from a variety of wines and local beers. Weather dependent you have the choice of eating in the dining area or on the terrace. Breakfast is just right. Frederic has everything set up and will offer you coffee or tea when you turn up at your chosen time. Nothing
• Kevin (10/5): Exceptionally beautiful and cozy B&B - The beauty of the house is at the same time outstanding and blends in very well with the charming village of Gembes. It has modern facilities and is decorated with exceptional taste and an eye for detail. Frédéric is incredibly welcoming and always goes above and beyond. It's hard to describe what a great host he is. A great conservationalist, but never overbearing. The breakfast he served was always a great start to the day. There is nothing to complain about regarding the accommodations. Only public transport is somewhat lacking, especially during the weekend.

Can totally recommend! - Frederic & Julien were exceptionally nice hosts, the house has a very nice and cozy interior design and overall I had a very pleasant stay. The breakfast is nice, with fresh bread and local products. Scrambled eggs are made by Frederic himself and you sit with the other guests at one large table. Very nice. Nothing comes to mind, really. Only one thing could be negative for others: since it is a well renovated, but nevertheless old house, you can hear the other guests in adjacent rooms. Since everyone was mind- and respectful, that was not an issue for me, but might be a useful information for others.

• John (10/5): Stunning place with amazing hosts. - Beautiful location, quirky and gorgeously furnished, full of character and immaculately clean. Genuinely lovely hosts and really nice breakfast. The shop was fabulous and the whole place is filled with interesting things. We will definitely be back as the perfect stopover on our road trips or maybe even spend a few days and enjoy the gorgeous surroundings.

• Evelien (9/5): A hidden gem in scenic countryside - We loved the two nights we spent at this adorable B&B! The gracious hosts are there when you need them but they don't impose. The communal spaces are a delight, as are the cosy art-filled rooms. We made use of the meals in the shop which is filled with local products, and prepared the delicious food in the kitchen. You just help yourself to anything you might want and write it down on a notepad. Breakfast is lovingly presented and very tasty. The whole atmosphere is so relaxed, a great place to rest up after long country walks.

We didn’t see Frederic. - The decor of the house is magazine worthy. - The little shop is super handy and has all sorts on offer which makes it handy to eat there. But ask Julien for restaurant tips: he has plenty as well. Can’t think of a thing.
• Anni (10/5): Absolutely the best B&B we ever stayed at - We absolutely loved everything about this B&B!!! Both Frederic and Julien are such welcoming hosts (to people AND for dogs) and the place is just beautiful and designed in a very tasteful and fun way. In every corner you’ll find something to look at. We stayed with my parents-in-law to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. It was the perfect little getaway. The already very indulgent breakfast table filled with local products, was topped with a homemade browniecake for my husband’s birthday :) The rooms in the B&B are also very nicely designed, clean and roomy. The whole place makes you feel very comfortable and at home. The honesty kitchen and bar adds to that feeling. I could go on for a very long time about everything I loved here, but I suggest you go and find out yourself. You won’t be disappointed! There is nothing we didn’t like. We will 1000% go back at stay there again.

We enjoyed our evening drinks in the garden with the "wild life" spotting - you can expect bats, owls and all sorts of other birds. Relatively noisy floors / stairs in the bedrooms area, but that is to be expected from an older house
• Ivan (10/5): Exceptional stay in Ardennes - Located in a beautiful village, this b&b is a true gem. Friendly owners were able to accommodate late arrival at a short notice. The building is a beautifully restored old house with a number of historic features. It has a fantastically equipped kitchen, a lovely lounge and an outside area where you can enjoy dinner / drinks. There is an onsite shop with local products, which was offering an impressive range of things from the region. The rooms were clean, spacious and tastefully decorated, with a separate work area, plenty of storage an a step-in shower. The beds were amazing, we slept like children. The breakfast was definitely a highlight of our stay, fresh, varied, personal and attentive service and absolutely amazing array of locally sourced products. Finally, the owners are absolutely friendly, attentive and can offer a good advice for where to go for a hike. We definitely recommend this property for anyone who would like to enjoy a high quality stay in Ardennes. N/A

The rooms were luxurious and well kept. We couldn't wish more for our breakfast, our host made it with care. On top of that we had a lovely conversation with him, it really made our stay that more personal! Nothing to wish for👍

This is what we liked most in this B&B: + garden and terrace + kitchen can be used for private cooking and food storage + ideal starting point for hiking tours + the atmosphere: other guests also look for peace and quiet. No loud people or large groups. - street traffic was more than we expected (in the early morning we had to close our window) -we missed some fresh fruit at the breakfast

With small shop with local specialities (food) and art, great terrace to spend time outside. It has also great energy - you just feel there like at home, together with your friends and all you want is to stay on sofa and rest! Great location to visit surrounding villages. And dogs are allowed😍
• Roos (10/5): Magical stay in the Ardennes - Magical! Only every once in a while you come across a place where everything is just perfect. Beautiful interior, warm welcome by the lovely owners, great garden, cozy rooms with good beds and pillows, different places in the house to lounge and relax, drinks available at a fair price, good coffee(!), a fully equipped kitchen to use, everything is super clean, nice breakfast, souvenirs to shop, private parking next to the house, and the owners love dogs - they made ours feel really welcome. This place feels like home, but better.

It felt very nice to stay at this property. The breakfast could be slightly improved. I missed fruit and fresh vegetables like tomato, cucumber, peppers.
