Guest Reviews
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Chokun (10/5): Fun and very relaxing - The atmosphere was really nice and remoted Location
- Susan (6/5): No frills budget accommodation - Great location and not too noisey for CBD. Difficulties in accessing parking. Garage clicker faulty. Problematic lock on front door. No tea/coffee facilities at all, not even a tea bag!
Only one key available despite having booked for 3 adults- made coming and going at different times quite difficult.
- Felicity (7/5): Good -
- Darcy (6/5): Good value and great location however not very clean - Good location and great value. Not very clean. Felt like bed sheets weren’t washed
- Anonymous (5/5): good location, did what it needed to, but it was not very clean - location is great cleanliness left something to be desired
- Michelle (3/5): Poor - The location The place was filthy as you can see in the photos
The sheets on the bed were not fresh they had been slept in
None of the blinds worked they were all broken
I contacted the host and sent photos but had no reply
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sahar (6/5): Pleasant -
- Noelene (4/5): Very disappointed for the last minute booking and price - Close to the city walking distance to restaurants It’s out dated and looked dirtier than in pictures. There was a recent death and the smell was just horrible. The parking is awkward to drive into the lift. My keys weren’t ready to be picked up and then my remote battery was flat to access lifts etc
- Tourmaline (7/5): Good - Great Location 👍 In description it said comes with free private parking, only to find out that parking is no longer available.
- Ben (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Lovely location great communication and a comfortable cosy place. - Everything the location was great and the apartment was a very comfortable stay No
- Hatch (8/5): Exploration Lane Apartment - Location was terrific, clean & tidy. No dishwasher (as this was specified), no tea towels for dishes; or tea & coffee/uht milk (coffee mugs & kettle were available, but no condiments).
Couch in living area not big enough for more than 2+ guests.
- Evie (5/5): Great location with parking but not a comfortable stay. Disappointing. - Great location with onsite parking but desperately needs an upgrade re a comfy sofa and new dining chairs and additional bedroom side tables. Communication outstanding. Tiny Sofa and dining chairs need replacing as stained and uncomfortable. Dining chair smelt badly of urine which left a pungent smell in the apartment. Previous guest's old sock under bed. Apart from bin liners changed I wondered if the apartment had been cleaned. Perhaps more of a reflection on how previous guest's have conducted themselves re the dining chair. Also window open prior to my arrival but insufficient to disguise the smell.
- Denise (6/5): Great location, quiet however tired and not clean. - This is an amazing location. Apartment was quick spacious and quiet. It was old and the fittings and furniture was worn and not clean. The pool, spa and sauna was good and clean.
- Jason (5/5): Passable -
- Awais (1/5): Not good - I traveled with family and it was really hard to find the keys. The car parking instructions were not clear. Lift was not working so I had to use stairs to go from basement to level 2 with two kids and luggage.
- Tania (3/5): Difficult to get key, Tiny car lift, walk stairs - Be warned.
1. The owner has keys left at a convenience store to pick up and sent us to the wrong location where there were no keys.. It took us over an hour to get into the apartment.
2.The carpark has a tiny car lift which is so difficult to get in and out of with a medium sized car, I would not recommend it. The owner doesn't send you info to tell u about car lift until 1 day before when it's too late to cancel. Didn't realise how small it would be.
3. Only 1 people/human lift gets u to your room which wasn't working, so had to walk up stairs with luggage.
4. Bedding is minimal and got very cold. Small Cane chair in loungeroom where there could be a comfy couch. View from window of empty lot with rubbish everywhere.
Only good thing is location but would never stay here again. Owner was nice and gave me a $60 refund for the inconvenience of being 1.5 hours late to work conference as we couldn't get keys, into the car lift or upstairs. I think if I knew about all these hurdles in advance, I could have made sure I was there 2-3 hours earlier. I live in Melbourne, this booking was only for convenience for work and was not convenient at all. Read the reviews on airbnb too!!
- Darin (9/5): Superb -
- Elanha (7/5): Good - Location Bathroom door didn't close properly
More run down than photos showed
Was a process to get keys and leaving keys in room as suggested meant we were unable to access car and had to return to get them
- Harneet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Muhammad (8/5): Very good -
- Kassandra (7/5): The location is perfect. - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment due to its perfect location. There's plenty of great coffee, restaurants, and bars within close walking distance.
The apartment was nice and cosy for the 3 of us. And the host was great. It does smell very strongly of cigarette smoke outside the door. However, it doesn't waft into the apartment.
Overall, the apartment is nice it just needs some TLC and attention to detail to make it more comfortable. Definitely needs better pillows, mattresses, cosy bedding, and towels. A bigger lounge. Tea and milk in the kitchen would be nice, and i would say it's well overdue for a good, deep clean. If these things were done, it would be a perfect 10.
- Amanda (1/5): I won’t recommend this apartment due to its poor and old facilities, and the host is not taking care of his guest. - The building is in the CBD so the traffic is bad. To get into the building and find a parking spot will waste us an hour during peak hour. The apartment comes with an allocated parking space which is on the B5 level of the building with only two car lifts on a narrow lane and the car lift was a nightmare. We drove into the lift for the first time and got stuck inside for over an hour since the lift door was not working… our 7yr old kid was terrified and we called the emergency button for help. The lift emergency guard helped us to call the host Alex and the answer is he knows nothing about this building.. After an hour’s waiting the lift door opened, and we were too scared to use the lift again and parked somewhere else and very expensive. We called Alex for the possibility to refund the car parking fee, on the phone he said he can refund the parking fee and required me to send receipts. After I sending the receipt, there is no longer any response. So overall, it’s not a pleasure experience living here, plus we only have less than 2 days stoping in Melbourne. As a result, we didn’t have time to go to the art museum as planned due to the first night stuck in the lift…
- Barry (8/5): Close to city for visiting and quite at night. - Nice coffee shop below and close to a lot of attractions. Quite area at night and easy to access. Lounge could have been a little more comfortable. But generally everything that you need.
- Kylie (8/5): We had a great weekend stay with the kids. - I liked the proximity to the city. The keys weren't there when we went to pick them up.
- Neiche (8/5): Very good -
- Siobhan (8/5): Very good -
- Rhonda (8/5): Great place to stay. Handy to everything - Key in wrong lock box
- Vicki (8/5): Very good…great value - Location was great. …two bathrooms good…..second bathroom could be cleaner Tv…could not get free to air channels
- Patricia (6/5): I was expecting better. - Location good. But see below.
Hosts helpful with WiFi which was not connected. No coffee machine, dishwasher.
A bit grubby.
Dark lane way.
Pool rather dank.
- Simone (6/5): Pleasant - The location and size of the apartment was great.
Parking was convenient and the location was perfect. Close to all attractions in the city and some fantastic resteraunts. The room was not clean on arrival. The host was contacted and informed. I asked that I be informed once the room was clean. I rang the host back at 4.30 pm, 2.5 hrs after check-in, and was told that the apartment was clean. It was cleaned to a very good standard.
The entrance leading up to the apartment smelt of cigarette smoke, however, the apartment did not.
- Victoria (7/5): Good -
- Xi (9/5): Very enjoyable - The location is awesome, easy walking most of city attractive scene The bed is too soft for us but still ok
- Karla (10/5): A very happy stay! - It was in a perfect location, the instructions to access the building and parking were clear and easy to understand, and being in a quiet side street was a big benefit. We had a lovely view of the neighbourhood, it was so appealing having a garden to look at! The apartment was clean and tidy and had what we needed.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Great amenities. Great communication. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
- Lisa (7/5): Clean, comfortable and had parking onsite. - Good location, close to the theatre and a short walk into the city centre. Could have had a slightly bigger couch.
- Mikaela (4/5): Was alright but won’t stay there again. - The location was good, but hard to locate if you are unfamiliar with Melbourne, should be labeled East End Appartments to avoid confusion The bathrooms were small, there was only one air con in the unit, it wasn’t very clean, the washing machine didn’t work, only one room key
- Jules (8/5): Very good - Great location No where comfortable to sit, need comfortable couches
- Haidyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (9/5): Pink! Melbourne always great to visit - bed was comfortable venetian blinds didn’t close properly in dining/lounge exposed area. smell of cigarette smoke just outside our room
