Guest Reviews
- Karolina (1/5): Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not at All as Described - Nothing We booked this apartment based on its solid rating (above 8) and supposed "quality rating" of 4. Unfortunately, the reality was drastically different from what was advertised, and our experience was deeply disappointing from the very beginning.
First, let’s talk about the bathroom – or rather, the poor excuse for one. It was incredibly narrow and cramped, accessible only from two separate rooms, which made it highly inconvenient. There wasn’t enough shower gel provided, and the shower itself felt like a makeshift setup. The folding shower doors were extremely difficult to use, and every time we used it, water ended up all over the floor. To top it off, the toilet flush worked inconsistently.
Cleanliness was also a serious issue. The floor was visibly dirty, and there was a noticeable layer of dust on the furniture and TV. The apartment felt like it hadn’t been properly cleaned or prepared for guests.
But by far the worst aspect of our stay was the smell. Upon arrival, we noticed an unusually large number of used air fresheners placed throughout the apartment, which immediately raised some red flags. Sure enough, by the end of the first day, an unpleasant sewage-like odor began to emerge. It progressively worsened with each passing day. By the final night, the smell became absolutely unbearable — so strong that it was impossible to breathe comfortably, let alone sleep. It was nauseating. We spent the night going outside just to get some fresh air. We didn’t sleep at all during the last two nights, and it completely ruined what was supposed to be a romantic getaway.
This apartment was misrepresented in the listing — none of these issues were mentioned, and we were expecting a clean, cozy, and pleasant place to relax. Instead, we left exhausted and disappointed.
I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. It was not only uncomfortable, but also unhygienic and completely unsuitable for guests in its current state.
- Wojciech (3/5): Poor - Close to the center. Awful bathroom, very narrow, passage about 30 cm and a folding shower cabin means that everything is flooded. In addition, the smell of rot and mustiness that makes it impossible to sleep and when you open the windows you have a raid of mosquitoes. It is a dark, low hole and I do not recommend it to anyone. In addition, the dishonest owner who does not want to send an invoice for the stay even though I asked for it many times and knew in advance that I needed it.
- Amy (9/5): Perfect - our host went out of his way to help and accommodate us and the apartment was lovely - Fabulous location - an oasis in the heart of Venice
