- Carmela (8/5): Overall, the apartment was decent and quiet and the location was perfect. - For the most part it was clean and tidy. The bedrooms were a good size and the temperature of the apartment was comfortable overnight. The WiFi and television worked very well. Although we did not use them, the apartment was well appointed with all kitchen appliances. It was nice to have parking availability included. It served our purpose of having a decent place to stay in Scarborough while visiting relatives in the area over the holiday. There was good communication from the host. The driveway and walkway was snowy and icy. It should have been shoveled and some salt placed at the back door before our arrival. It was covered in ice and dangerously slippery on the walkway. A boot mat at the entry door would have also been helpful to place wet/dirty boots as to prevent walking on a wet floor (again due to time of year and weather). The bedding is minimal. Since there was no top sheet, the blanket was directly on us questioning the hygiene of the bedding. Would have been helpful in the communication to let guest know where the towels for the bathroom were stored and where the thermostat was located as the temperature in the apartment was 15 C in the morning. There are a few large towels in the bedrooms but no hand towels or face cloths available (this is not a big deal but a hand towel in the bathroom would avoid looking for and using the large towels unnecessarily).
