- Alexander (7/5): Great location and space, but lacking homely touches and some practical essentials. - The location was excellent, with a supermarket directly across the road, plenty of restaurants nearby, and easy access to public transport. The apartment itself was very spacious, and the lobby entrance was particularly impressive and quite luxurious. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by the friendly interactions with the staff at the Ritz-Carlton next door. The furnishings were quite sparse and didn’t feel very homely, which is something we value in an Airbnb. A few decorative touches like faux plants would help.
Only two towels were provided for two guests; we expected two per person, and they developed an unpleasant smell after use. The key was also difficult to use as it tended to stick in the door. An iron was provided but no ironing board. Suitcase racks would be a useful addition.
- Geoffrey (5/5): Had great potential but disappointing for what we paid - It turned out to be a reasonable location and has great potential. The person I interacted with via e-mail was helpful. They supplied an infants cot on request The advertisement on Booking.com showed this apartment to be on Collins Street but once booked it was in Spencer Street??? This seemed like false advertising to us. We only realised this after we had paid. Where was/were the compendium/instructions to show us how to use the appliances, where the advertised pool and gym were? We could not find the pool or the gym and needed to contact the host to get the wi-fi code. There need to be clearer instructions on how to get into the building and to find where the key(s) was (were) please. No hand towel in the bathroom. There needs to be "two keys" for this apartment which was a problem for two adults and a small child when we wanted to go out separately. The cleanliness of this apartment was average at best. There was a broken dining chair which could have been dangerous if one of us had sat on it without realising it was broken
