Guest Reviews
- Sandra (9/5): Family fave - Location was great it was closed to the beach, shops and fish and chips shop! The property was well kept and maintained. Everything needed were provided. Both Nick and Johnnie were fast to respond and friendly. Overall, it was amazing my family loved it! None.
- Bradley (10/5): Loved it. - Loved the upstairs parent retreat - a lounge and a tv and some space away is just what you need sometimes.
Love the fireplace in the downstairs lounge. Not a lot of hanging space/storage in the upstairs bedroom. If you are there for a while bending to get things out of your bag gets tedious. There’s plenty of space for some hanging racks the host really needs to improve this.
- Jodie (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (8/5): Excellent stay at Shooters Cottage. It has that old world charm to it. - The cottage has that old world charm and is at a great location at Bellerive, very close to the shops and food. Very easy access into the city and it is also a very short walk to the ferry wharf. The cottage has on and off street parking available and Bellerive is a very quiet suburb with excellent views across the harbour. A few more spare blankets would not go a stray during winter although the host was accommodating in the use of heating.
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (7/5): Generally fantastic. BB hosts need to remember its about the guests comfort, not just 'the look'. - A unique and interesting original cottage that really smacks of the Tasmanian experience with its stone walls and strange layout. Surprisingly quiet despite the wide road, and gorgeous houses opposite with views as you open the front door. A close walk to a large IGA for stocking up. Beds are comfy, and so good to be able to park off the street. No microwave (important convenience when you are travelling) Easy enough to fit on top of fridge etc even if it upsets decor a bit. There is a full-grinding coffee machine and milk steamer etc instead of a pod machine. It means it's a huge process to make a nice coffee. So you don't especially when you are busy exploring the wonderful Hobart.
I understand the purist's needs on coffee, but there wasn't even a tamper to do that, just the same. It does not have to be that complicated surely. Also, needs some sheer drapes on the rooms facing the street, bedrooms and kitchen. You can pull the blinds down but then its dark. We had people walking past a number of times in both bedrooms and while in the kitchen/dining and looking straight into the house. They are at the same level and only 2 mts away. Not hard to fix. Hope the hosts take note, as these things would have just stopped the sense of inconvenience over little things.
- Farah (10/5): Fabulous cottage, very chic! - Absolutely stunning gem of a cottage.
Fabulously renovated with 1800s features, yet modern amenities.
Couldn't have asked for a better stay.
Bellerive is beautiful, enjoyed the ferry trip to Hobart and local amenities, including beach and park. Nothing. Impeccable.
