- Maree (8/5): Overall good, but would like a few things done to increase rating. - Pet friendly except outside yard not fenced.
Clean.
Comfortable Rusted table on deck, this could easily be replaced.
No hand soap in bathroom.
Tea coffee sugar would be nice if it was supplied.
Furniture layout poor in lounge room. Improvement here would lift the stay.

- Kathryn (9/5): Great place to stay, clean, perfect location and great communication with host . Having no internet ment we could un plu - It was warm and cosy, perfect for a winter break. We loved it.
- Darren (10/5): A nice quiet location for a few days to get away from the busy Melbourne - A nice ltttle place in a quiet location and accessible by car or foot into the main town. The added bonus of our stay was being able to have our dog which is an inside dog stay with us indoors which you rarely come acroos these days. We'll be back at some stage in the future. No issues of concern that affected our short stay
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Janie (3/5): Thanks but no thanks - Balcony is very pretty, and location of property were great. It's close to the shops and cafes and walking distance to the beach and local op shop. Our dog loved it. Where do I start? This place gave me serious uni student share house vibes. There is a funky smell as soon as you enter, maybe rising damp. There is a cot in the main bedroom and directly above it the ceiling has water damage, the kind where there has been a leak. The dishwasher didn't clean the dishes properly, even after a pre rinse in the sink. This place is surrounded by holiday houses with people sitting on their balconies enjoying themselves. Not so bad in itself, but when I realized that the curtains/blinds to the bedroom had no block out and people could see shadows when the light was on in the bedroom it made me really freaked out. The layout of the place is really uncomfortable, and the furniture gives hard rubbish feels. it was hard to relax and put your feet up after a day out. It is advertised as cheapest place in Venus Bay. I'm not sure about that claim, but it certainly isn't value for money.
- Gordo (8/5): Fabulous beach getaway shack - The house is spotlessly clean, with lots of natural light and bright yellow doors giving it a cheery vibe. We loved the front deck, too. Perfect for having an afternoon drink and reading the paper. The guidebook they provide is very informative, and checking in was super-easy. The lay-out of the living area was a bit awkward. You need to swap the table and the sofa around if you want to watch TV comfortably.
- Tamaki (9/5): Superb -
- Lauren (8/5): Very comfortable - Very nice space. Perfect for a small family. Two toilets and amble space. I liked that there was a dishwasher and big windows in the dining area. Balcony was nice for wine and cheese on a warm evening. Some cushions on the couch and more lighting in the living area? A lamp would be nice so wouldn't have to rely on the bright main lights at night.
- Jamie (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (8/5): Quiet Cosy & Convenient – an easy walk to enjoy a coffee in the village and walks along the beaches. - Warm comfortable and cosy The multiple trips to carry belongings in and out over distance is a bit of a nuisance but once done instant relax.
- Helen (8/5): A safe, comfortable, and cosy place to quickly feel at home. - The north facing aspect provided lots of lovely natural light through the bedroom and living room windows to inspire me to get up and enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a read on the sun drenched front deck. My dog also enjoyed sitting on the deck in the sun and watching the diverse and abundant birdlife. The living and dining room furniture choices don't facilitate the optimum use of the space. A softer light option or Lamp in the living room would be more relaxing.
- Amelia (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Really relaxing - Just the dishwasher was broken, and there were no trays to cook in the oven. Also, there was a handful of sticks to start a fire, I would have expected some matches and paper, I understand we were to bring wood.
- Denise (8/5): Relaxing, peaceful, comfortable, convenient to various fishing spots - The cost was excellent and in line with the amenities. Communication with the host was excellent as was gaining entry via the key safe. Having access to a dishwasher and washing machine was terrific. Comfortable bed and couch. Short walk to shopping strip, opportunity shop and Beach 1. The provision of wi-fi would have been good. The bedroom blind was ineffectual in blocking out the light. More cutlery and cooking utensils (for example spatulas, larger eating knives and roasting dish) required for a longer stay. The long distance from car to front door was a tad tiring when carting stuff back and forth. Pruning along path badly needed as it is narrow; we were snagged quite often especially when carrying gear!
- Bernie (9/5): Great location; only issue was limited hot water and no WIFI - Very satisfying place………… Bad weather -
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sampl (9/5): Nice place in Venus Bay - Nice location close to the ocean. Very quiet area. Good facilities with bbq on the decking. Aircon in the living room and in one of the bedrooms. The water is only available from the tank (but this applies to whole of Venus Bay). There were also small technical problems with hot water system, finally managed to make it working.
