• Julie (10/5): Overnight stay - There was plenty of room in the apartment, the TV was a very good size, the kitchen was well equipped and there were great supplies in the bathrooms. The location was excellent for us and the unit was very secure. the view from the balcony was fantastic. Could not fault it

The generous size of the apartment was two, and three and four we were comfortable and safe. We were made to feel confident with our stay in a big city. The final message re - damage deposit was not sent to us initially. This took a few minutes to sort out on arrival. This was quickly followed up with prompt messages and a quick call for confirmation.
• STACEY (8/5): Beautiful catch up with long time friends - Location was perfect for our large groups needs, plenty of space, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms plus sofa bed. Lack of cutlery, crockery and cooking items, can fit 10 , requires more. needs a good deep clean A welcome booklet with some information would be handy.

Close to southern cross station for airport transfer and close to flagstaff gardens, perfect for our kids to get out some energy. Lots of beds for big groups. Basic stying and amenities but everything you need. Carpets weren’t in the best shape, could do with a steam clean. Washer and dryer didn’t work. We moved them to another power point and they worked.

• Jennifer (8/5): - Nice apartment - clean and perfect location for city stay, plenty of beds. Asking another resident to unlock the mail room to get the keys - I didn’t think this was appropriate, it was awkward and 2 residents actually said no.

• Jodie (8/5): Enjoyable with great views & location - The location was great, as was the view, close to Hardware Lane (restaurants), close to trams & trains if needed. Property is a tad dated (but functional) needs a refresh with new furniture & paint job as it’s looking tired. An information sheet with details regarding location of pool/gym, wifi, recommended restaurants etc would be hardy as well.

• Shirley (9/5): Well equipped apartment in CBD - It is very central with a pool and a parking space included. A plus was that the New Years fireworks could be seen in the nearby park. CBD is the financial district and not the most charming area of Melbourne. The owner was very prompt in responding to any questions we posed but a small instruction sheet in the apt would have been helpful to answer details like how to use appliances and where to drop trash.

• Chris (4/5): - Location This place has inground dirt in the furniture and there was hair in the bed and on the pillows and the bathroom had a thin film of dirt above where someone can't reach and do a basic clean

• Susan (7/5): Comfortable apartment with fabulous views and excellent location. - The location and the view were fabulous. The apartment is a 5 minute walk to Southern Cross Station and Coles Supermarket. There are heaps of eateries, cafes and wine bars nearby. Also a 5 minute to a number of trams on the free Tram circuit. With two balconies we could see south to Docklands and beyond, west of the City and north west to the Queen Victoria Market & beyond; and northeast to SkyDeck. It was great to have 3 bedrooms as these are hard to find in the city for a reasonable price, and not have anyone needing to sleep on a sofa bed in the lounge area. After requesting to collect the keys one hour earlier at 3pm and being told where to find them, the keys were not there. We waited in the foyer watching the key location for 30 minutes and then texted the owner. After a fair bit of to-ing and fro-ing we finally received the keys at around 4pm. We then had to wait another 30 minutes in a queue for the only 1 of 3 elevators that were working on the day. Additionally there was not enough crockery for the 7 of us staying in the apartment. When the apartment sleeps up to 8 persons, one would expect there be enough plates, bowls and cups and glasses. In addition, other kitchen utensils such as a salad bowl would have been useful. We had to improvise a bit when we choose to eat in.

• Muhammad Irham Rasyidi (9/5): Comfortable - Location: A short walk (~6 minutes) from both Southern Cross station's SkyBus drop off as well as Flagstaff station. There's also a Coles supermarket close by, making for convenient grocery trips whenever needed, and multiple trams and train stations close by. Accommodation: Very spacious with 3 bedrooms, a large living room and 2 bathrooms - more than enough for our group of 6 adults and 2 children (with quite comfortable beds to boot). View: It's on the 38th floor, so there's quite a nice view of the surrounding CBD area. Price: Very good value for money. Many of the hotels around Southern Cross Station are understandably pricey; this property is very affordable in comparison. Having some written guides or instructions within the property might be helpful. There were no explicit instructions on: - Connecting to the WiFi - Accessing some amenities, such as the swimming pool - Locking the front door (though this could have just been a personal skill issue) The property owner is quick to reply to messages, which is very much appreciated. However, I think having a short pamphlet or instruction manual on these common questions within the property might be ideal. Not a dislike per se, but do note that there is a AUD 200 damage deposit, as mentioned in the listing's fine print. Having a local Australian bank account is ideal, but this transaction can also be done with cash.

• Karen (9/5): Superb - We really enjoyed our stay. It's in a great position, not far from the Tram and Southern Cross Station is a short walk through Spencer St Mall. The apartment was clean and comfortable for our group of 4. The view at night is amazing! The host was a pleasure to deal with,and we were very grateful for the early check-in and being able to leave our bags in the apartment on checkout due to a late afternoon flight. It was an unusual way to collect the key and my suggestion would be for the host to probably meet on arrival. It was very warm in Melbourne and although the apartment has air-conditioning it dosent reach all the bedrooms, so a few fans for the bedrooms would help with air circulation as opening windows is not really an option.

Just the check in process was tricky but the host was very responsive and guided us through. Except for that bond that needs to be transferred before was a little unexpected and weird but the host is very responsive and they return it quite quickly after check out. No issues otherwise

Second verandah dirty, kettle wouldn’t boil, 1/2 teaspoon of no name coffee in a jar, but the worst was the broken shower in the en-suite. To wash your hair with one hand whilst holding the shower head in the other is a real pain. We paid over $1,000.00 for 2 nights and expected better.

• Debbie (10/5): Great apartment BUT very dodgy entry and exit processes. Be wary of $200 direct deposit for keys - The location is excellent and the apartment is very spacious. It was comfortable and clean. The collection of the key was a debacle. It needed to be collected from a mail box in a locked mail room. The instructions were to ask a tenant of the apartment block, who happened to be walking by or coming out of the lift, to open the mail room door for you so the key could be collected. We had to wait for someone to come along who was prepared to do that. Upon leaving we placed the key back in the mail box only to find that the fob was needed to exit the car park., There was no one to reopen the mail room and the security officer would not do it and said that we could not ask any tenants to do as it was against their policies. Eventually we had to wait outside until another guest came along who was able to open the garage door for us to exit. The night prior to arrival we were also asked to deposit $200 directly into a bank account for a deposit on the keys. If we didn't transfer the funds then the instructions for the keys would not be given. I was very hesitant about transferring money into an unknown bank account. When asking for the deposit to be returned I was informed that the shower door was broken and had cost $300 to repair. We had no knowledge of any damage. After arguing the money deposit was returned to my bank account.

Property was wonderful for a girls weekend… 2 spacious bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and a wonderful pool that was very quiet! Communication excellent as well. There was only one very minor thing… maybe a bigger couch. Was a bit squishy for the 4 of us.. but that is all!

We were a group of 8 guests but only had 1 key to the building and apartment. Would recommend offering more keys to groups as it meant we all had to come and go at the same time. Check in should be 4pm which is extremely late if you are staying for 1 night. Host was amazing and let us check in early.
