Guest Reviews
- Jenny (7/5): -
- Robert (10/5): Enjoyed my stay, have stayed before and will again. - Unique huge converted apartment Minor issue - smell from next door restaurant cooking exhaust.
- Andre (10/5): Lovely accommodation - OMG, the fresh baked bread smells coming through the walls from the bakery next door awakens the senses.
The accommodation was very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and we loved it. We will be back.
- Jennifer (9/5): Definitely a place you would recommend and come to again. - Just a little more thought into kitchen equipment. Such as even amounts of cutlery cooking equipment ie spatulas etc.
- Kieran (9/5): -
- Russell (8/5): Very comfortable in a character filled homely atmosphere - Character history locational Flooring a few tripping hazards
- Graeme (8/5): -
- Laura (9/5): - Beautiful building. Only 1 toilet/bathroom which was upstairs. It was also very hot in both rooms.
- Kathryn (8/5): Handy location for us to visit family , too hot up stairs makes it to uncomfortable to sleep - Easy to access to town Upstairs area is too hot in summer
No flannel supplied
- Aditi (10/5): -
- Horsnell (7/5): -
- Cameron (6/5): Passable but will probably give it a miss next time - Nice big tv, clean and comfortable. The noise. Like other reviews suggested bring some ear plugs as the trucks don’t stop all night and if the trucks don’t wake you the bakery/restaurant next door will at 430am

- knowles (2/5): To sum up - we would never stay at that location ever again and will advise our friends accordingly. - The three night stay was poor at best. The code to entre the property took ages to work and is certainly NOT suitable for people with sight issues. People with mobility issues would also have great difficulty navigating uneven floors and staircases. The location being close by a main road was very noisy at night and rail traffic woke us early mornings at about 4am. The only bathroom, being up the stairs was not appropriate for mature aged people. In summary POOR. Just about everything !
- Robert (10/5): Have stayed in Nhill several times and this accommodation was by far the best - Converted print press shop was an amazing place to stay mixing old with new. Grond floor consists of huge living area with fully equipped kitchen, second bedroom and entrance foyer. Timber staircase leads to mezzanine with main bedroom and bathroom, there is also access to roof. A powerful central heating/cooling system makes this accommodation a perfect place to stay. Some written/photos information of the history of the press would be nice.
- O'Reilly (9/5): -
- O'Reilly (9/5): - Central location, a meld of old and new, large open living room.
- Kathryn (9/5): - A toilet downstairs would be handy
- Kirkby (8/5): -
- Laura (10/5): Lovely spacious house with great unique aspects and centrally located. Very comfortable. - Spacious and quirky/unique, very comfortable and great location to town. nothing!
- Kate (7/5): Good - Great location and stunning building
- Arjun (8/5): Very good -
- Frank (1/5): Bad - No breakfast supplied Impossible means of entry based on information supplied. Firstly, no directions were supplied how to use the multiple steps required to operate a device that had no visible keypad, and what was fundamentally unacceptable is that we were supplied with the wrong password. There was no contact information for the owner and were faced with no accommodation overnight in outback Australia.
- Genis (6/5): Pleasant - Nice enough aesthetic. Some appliances didn't work such as the dish-washer and the over stove exhaust fan. There was a faulty light that flickered above the kitchen island bench. The shower basin may be blocked as it drained very, very slowly.
- Brittany (9/5): Unique, quirky, historic building comfortable, convenient and central location - Love the unique historical elements, I’m originally from Nhill and it was beautiful to see the building used into such a beautiful and unique accommodation. Quite spacious, comfortable, clean and well maintained. Beautiful natural light beaming through high roof windows. Definitely will stay again. The toilet upstairs didn’t affect us as I staying with my friends however I can see this being an issue for privacy and convenience. A toilet downstairs would be beneficial to the accomodation. Potentially utilise the space more for bigger group stays like a fold out couch given the minimal amount of local stays this could really be utilised as we have frequent family events I’d recommend for larger families if space and bedding was available
- Bubenicek (8/5): Comfy and ideal location for stay in the area. - It was very roomy and location very close to supermarket. Bakery next door. At end of the street was the lake and park area for walking which was great as we had a dog with us. For an old shop building it has been tastefully decorated into a welcoming stay for travellers. There are two bedrooms but to use bathroom you have to go upstairs and through other bedroom. This didn't affect us as we only used the upstairs bedroom only but if we had booked to share with friends this would be awkward from a privacy perpective.
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious, great location to the Main Street. Historic building. Relaxing space where you can cook if you want to.
- Maurice (6/5): Pleasant -
- Marcus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maggie (9/5): Interesting and comfortable stay with responsive host and lovely town - Quirkiness. History. Interesting artifacts throughout property. Air conditioner as ver very hot temperatures. Close location to eateries. Enjoyed aviation museum which was very interesting. Nothing
- Jae (8/5): Good location and value for money. - Very good location to look around nearby towns. We visited during summer time, and it’s was a bit warm upstairs cause there is no air conditioning or fans.
- Jake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phil (7/5): Good -
- Alice (10/5): Really enjoyed the stay. Would be happy to recommend it to anyone travelling in the area. - Pet friendly, central location, lots of space and well equipped. No down stairs toilet.
- Gregory (9/5): Would recommend to others and would return. Thank you -
- Amanda (8/5): Very good - The historical features and the convenience of having a bakery next door.
- Jones (9/5): A big surprise! - it was very spacious and unique. it had everything we needed.
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place! So cosy and made our holiday to Nhill feel extra special.
- Pauline (10/5): Close to all community tourism places and historical education in the area - Loved the whole place accomadation was quirky historical and beds comfortable and premises clean , all amenities were walking distance for tourism or a short drive to visit other areas of interest host was informative about interesting places to visit ! The shower knob was hard to manage …
- Stephen (9/5): Very well equipped and trendy apartment for a stopover in Nhill. - Great fitout and very convenient location right in the centre of Nhill and next door to the popular Mr Le Vietnamese street food restaurant. Well equipped kitchen. At the end of the street is the Nhill lake and boardwalk which was a great walk location with the dog. The building is near the main highway so there was a bit of traffic noise, but it wasn't too bad.
- Rachel (10/5): Fantastic weekend away with friends. - It had a lovely feel and was central to the township. We were very comfortable and found all we needed easily. Unfortunately, the dishwasher did not work, the start button appears to be broken.
- Andrew (10/5): Excellent - No Bathroom downstairs
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - The place was really awesome . Nothing
- Rhys (9/5): Great place to stay in Nhill - Great space, great location Nothing
- Neil (8/5): Not much more expensive than a Motel room and so much better! - Lovely old building. Tons of character. Great location right in town, close to the station, IGA and next door to Mr Le. Comfy bed upstairs. We didn't mind the 22 steps up to the bathroom, toilet and queen bed, but it wouldn't suit everyone.
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect. The host was friendly and very responsive to messages and enquiries. Staying in a quirky old printing factory. I would love to know the story/history of the building. The bed and linen were comfortable. I would love to stay again. It was a little warm upstairs and cooler downstairs. The host offered some good advice and a heater in the bedroom downstairs. The takeaway kitchen next door was a bit noisy in the mornings.
- Katrina (10/5): A great place to stay whilst working at the Nhill hospital - Lovely open space, well furnished. Great central location
- Ron (8/5): Convenient and comfortable - Spacious, comfortable, close to shops and convenient to the places we wanted to see in the area. Upstairs bedroom has the toilet and bathroom almost as an ensuite. This created a bit of an issue because our friends who are travelling with us and were sleeping in the downstairs bedroom, had to come upstairs past our bed to use the toilet and bathroom. He has to use the bathroom more than several times each night.
Hmmmm.
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julienne (9/5): A unique, rustic and well appointed property, great host and location. -
- Jack (7/5): Good except for the mozzies infestation in bathroom. Otherwise it will be perfect. - The location, the character of the house Mozzie infestation in the bathroom
- Diamond (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michellr (10/5): Exceptional - It had everything you would need.
- Lindy (10/5): Great location and all the essential things provided. Highly recommend. - Such a cool place to stay, so beautifully done and centrally located.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Size of living space and overall design Lack of oven and noisy fridge
- Meci (10/5): Truly amazing stay and the Nhill lake is near and beautiful - Spacious, clean, have Wifi, big TV with various options, heater is great, we can cook our meal and have dinner. Washing machine and dryer along with detergent also provided by host. We have a wonderful time chilling around before start working. Really worth your money. We wish could stay longer. None, host very kind and answered our question patiently.
- Kate (7/5): Good - The building and furnishings were lovely and comfortable. There is no oven and I did find the trucks going past quite busy noisy when I went to bed.
