Dessyree (10/5): - Para vivir una experiencia única y para recordar, 100% recomendado! Sería útil tener hieleras en las reposeras para no tener que solicitar las bebidas de una en una. Tomar en cuenta que después de las 9:30pm cierra el servicio de comida y bebidas.
Lady Bi (8/5): - Room was great, bad comfortable, beach is small (only where beach club is) and nice sunbads were great. In general idea that you are only on a tiny island. Cool expirience. Staff was veeeeery nice! Well few things but it is about expectations. First of all that is bird national park so you have to be aware that the other beach (sea view room) is not very usuable as it is smelly and yes they can be loud. It is not super quite place as sea view rooms there is generator all the time which you will hear, even it did not bother us. Poolview... well pool is literally 5 cm from balcony. Bar & Restuarnt is very pricy and nothing superspecial but it is again i guess resort prices. Check in is separate story, I had to spend 30 minutes in this luxuary resort to check myself in, scann documents and everything - strange practice, never saw it before. There is literally nothing you can buy there or order so they bring you (even they are 5x day going around). First market is on isla grande and that is ok but we had to pay 100k to take this 10min ride (other similar rides are free) and the funniest thing was that manager went with us in market and waited next to cashier i guess so we dont buy somethin to eat or drink and all we bought were cigarets and tampons. Also that was not something regular as I had to negotiate 1 hr via sms to get that transportation. First I was told that we are not allowed to go anywhere. I felt like in prison somehow.

Blanca Gabriela (9/5): Los dos días que estuvimos - Destacada atención del personal. Excelente desayuno y muy buenas instalaciones No Me Gusto nada nada el transporte de Cartagena a la Isla. La lancha es un penal. Si el mar está un Poco picado, sobre todo al regreso, es una tortura. No es que se mueva, es que salta y luego cae y golpea contra el Mar. Sin pensar en lo peor, que es que se parta la lancha (que paso con las que van a san bernardo)la Columna no resiste los golpes que duran 50 minutos. Es algo que tienen que replantearse y mejorar. Si hubiera sabido que era si no creo que hubiera ido….

Vanessa (10/5): - Fue lo que mas nos gustó de Cartagena. El personal muy atento y amable. Hicieron de nuestra estadía una experiencia inolvidable. Para disfrutar mejor de tu experiencia lleven zapatos de agua hay corales (piedras) en la playa y viven aves en la isla. Es una reserva natural, así que debes saber que hay pájaros y hacen popo pero el personal mantiene las áreas comunes limpias, pero si puede oler algo extraño. La isla es el hogar de las aves y de animales marinos y nosotros somos los que estamos de paso.

Stefano (10/5): A beautiful where to have rest, adventure and quiet time. - The island is very small and offers a high level of privacy, especially in the afternoon when most of the daily visitors leave. The staff was excellent and always more than willing to provide the best possible service. Whenever I had a request regarding additional activities, they were able to accommodate it and arrange everything at my convenience. As the island is quite small, I would highly recommend that the property promotes a wider range of well organized extra activities. In Isla Grande, which is only a 5 minute boat ride, there are many activities available, such as mangrove boat tours and guided visits to the local town, both of which I personally enjoyed very much. Expanding and better highlighting these experiences would definitely enhance the overall stay.
William (10/5): Excellent service and accommodating. - Staff was very nice and accommodating. Room was very clean and had a great ocean view. No complaints. We arrived late and they brought us food to the room.

Lots of birds and the associated risk (being pooed on and a general smell) - - amazing location, very scenic - reserved bed / lounger everyday - staff are very friendly - ability to go to other nearby islands for dinner (we went to Bora Bora) - if you don’t like birds, be warned. There are hundreds of birds flying around at all times. You will end up being pooed on (we averaged 2x per day). As a result the general site has a lot of bird poo marks and you will need to wash your towel daily. If you aren’t under umbrella you’re at risk. This also results in a very “birdy” smell all around the resort. - food was alright, not amazing. - no water filter for residents, just bottle after bottle of water which feels very wasteful. - a bit too quiet for our liking at night (there are only about 6 rooms, so it lacks atmosphere). 3 night stay max I’d say. - breakfast quoted as included but coffee and water charged separately.

El lugar es bonito y tranquilo, aunque hay excesivas aves por ser su habitat natural y lastimosamente la playa trasera a veces es sucia de plumas y otras cosas que sueltan las aves. Falta variedad en la carta y teniendo en cuenta que estando en la isla no hay mas opciones, los precios son bastante altos. Pedimos varias veces que nos ayudaran con varias cosas en la habitación y el personal de mantenimiento nunca asistió.

RENATA MANHAES VIANA DE (9/5): Inesquecível - O hotel fica numa pequena ilha que é habitat de várias espécies de pássaros e isso deixa o local ainda mais encantador. O hotel é bom, mas o grande diferencial é o acolhimento, presteza e simpatia dos funcionários: Elias, Nelson, Willian, José, Iourleyde, Fabiane e todos os outros que agora não me recordo do nome. Eles merecem ser valorizados! Ficamos lá 3 noites e hotel conseguiu atender um pedido especial que foi conhecer a comunidade da Isla Grande. Foram dias que ficarão na memoria pela conexão com a natureza e hospitalidade do povo colombiano. Apesar de haver a possibilidade de jantar no Bora, Bora, acho que seria interessante o hotel diversificar a menu do restaurante e colocar uns petiscos, mais opções de pratos com carne, saladas com frutas, castanhas e doces, já que ficamos o tempo todo fazendo todas as refeições nele.
Andrew (8/5): A wonderful break on a lovely island - We knew the birds were very polarising with other guests but we had no problems with being on an island which was a bird sanctuary. In fact, the birds simply added to the experience We had a very comfortable room, enjoyed the beach club facilities, loved the seclusion before and after the day trippers and the fact there were so few rooms to stay in, making it quite intimate The staff were very friendly and welcoming making our three day stay a pleasure. Two small things that we felt would have helped. First, it would have been good to have had some more (written) information about the island, particularly about the birds, but also simply meal times, use of beach facilities etc. Some of this was explained on arrival but with our poor Spanish, it was difficult to find out things. Second, there was no outdoor fresh water shower to use. Appreciate that water is a limited resource on the island but would have been good on last day to have been able to swim up to departure then have a quick shower to get the salt water off.

Las aves hacen que este hotel sea unico en el mundo y creo que deberian potenciar el valor que tiene esto. Disfrutamos mucho haciendo snorquel en las playas del hotel. La habitacion muy comoda y limpia. La comida muy buena. Considero que para lo lejos que queda el hotel de cartagena deberian contar con transporte incluido. Es costoso llegar a la isla y viajar en una lancha pequeña y con tanta gente incomoda un poco la experiencia.

Isidora (6/5): Lugar para relajarse con opciones acotadas - Es muy tranquilo y la playa es linda, la atención es buena ya que nos ayudaron a gestionar una pasadía a bora bora que es su otro complejo y también nuestra lancha hacia baru. No incluyen agua para beber en la estadía, la comida es poco variada y es bastante costosa. Al ser un santuario de aves habían muchos desechos de las mismas y la playa que daba hacia las habitaciones no tenía tan buen olor.

La comida muy buena en general. El personal nos trato estupendamente. Fue una agradable estancia. La música que suena prácticamente todo el día y NO precisamente a un volumen suave (totalmente inecesario). La isla ya dispone de música natura l y relajante, el mar y las diferentes especies de pájaros que habitan en la isla!!!! El generador que hay en la isla. Creo que esas 2 cosas se podrían mejorar. Y así lo hicimos saber.

Amaia (9/5): Una experiencia única - Todo fue increíble de principio a fin. Las vistas desde la habitación Flamenco son sencillamente únicas, de esas que se te quedan grabadas en la memoria para siempre. El trato fue excelente desde el primer momento: nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos y cuidados durante toda la estancia. El hotel ofrece actividades gratuitas muy bien pensadas para que no te aburras; recomendamos especialmente el snorkel guiado, una experiencia muy buena. Además, nos prestaron gafas para poder hacerlo por nuestra cuenta después, un detalle que se agradece muchísimo. El personal es maravilloso, con una mención especial a Darwin, que es un auténtico crack. El desayuno muy rico, nos prestaron toallas de playa, y el hecho de que incluyan snacks en la habitación suma puntos. Los atardeceres y amaneceres son espectaculares, y los pájaros, peces y la naturaleza en general de la isla hace que la estancia sea realmente especial y diferente a cualquier otro lugar. Teniendo en cuenta el precio de la estancia y de todo lo que se consume durante la misma, creemos que el desayuno debería incluir al menos un refill de café. Nos sorprendió que nos cobraran cada café aparte que nos tomamos durante esos días y a esos precio: 11.000 pesos por un café con leche. Excesivo y fuera de lugar para un hotel de este nivel. La actividad organizada por el hotel a través de un tercero para visitar la laguna encantada nos pareció muy, muy cara para lo que ofrece, por lo que no la recomendamos. La única actividad en los 18 días que he estado en Colombia que no recomendaría.
Patrick (5/5): Day visitors have priority over guests for all ammenities. - Staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was decent Wouldn't recommend staying here. There are day trips that are way more convenient and do the job just as well to enjoy a nice island beach with clear water for a few hours. The island is the natural habitat for a species of bird, which is great to look at, but be ready for a storm of feces 24/7. Also, day visitors have priority over guests at the hotel for every single service, including beds and beach chairs and all hotel ammenities.
Margarita (10/5): La mejor experiencia en Cartagena - Fue una de las mejores experiencias de nuestra vida! Mi esposo y yo fuimos a pasar nuestra luna de miel en este paraíso durante 5 noches, y no nos arrepentimos ni un segundo. Las instalaciones son increíbles, con camas frente al mar muy cómodas. La habitación estaba frente al mar y podíamos desayunar, almorzar y cenar en nuestro balcón, con la playa prácticamente para nosotros! La comida es absolutamente increíble - probamos casi todo el menú! La paella y la cazuela de mariscos son de verdad espectaculares. Los cocteles también deliciosos y originales. Y el staff... ¡ni se diga! Hicieron todo para hacernos sentir como en casa hasta el último minuto. Nos trataron tan bien que hasta nos entristecimos al despedirnos de ellos! La mayoría son locales, que conocen la zona y aman su trabajo, grandes personas siempre con una sonrisa en el rostro! Otro aspecto a destacar es que pudimos realizar muchas actividades todos los días, incluyendo el oceanario, snorkeling, masajes, visita a Isla Grande y demás. La isla es muy natural y permite realmente desconectarse del mundo y relajarse en un ambiente tranquilo y armonioso. ¡Volveríamos mil veces!

Roos (9/5): - We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Het is een mooi eiland wat veel vogels aantrekt en heeft twee prachtige witte stranden. Het is een echt eilandje om te ontspannen en echt even niks te doen. Het restaurant serveert heerlijk eten en het personeel is heel vriendelijk en gastvrij! Twee keer per dag komen er bootjes aan met ‘dagjes’ mensen, dan kan het soms wat druk voelen.

Food was ok, but not the same level as on the mainland in colombia, and higher priced as you are on an island. Only way to get to the hotel is by boat, which is not in included in the price. It was not too expensive, but would have appreciated it to be more transparent when booking.

viola (6/5): - The hotel staff are very friendly and attentive—never intrusive, but always there when you need something. There is a more or less private beach that is usually quiet. The room is nice and has everything you need, including a private terrace facing the beach. If you wish, food can be brought directly to this terrace, which truly felt like a luxury. The island is full of birds. While this sounds nice and authentic, there are so many that it significantly impacts the stay. There are bird droppings everywhere—on all the sun loungers, chairs, umbrellas, and across the ground. There is also a constant unpleasant smell throughout the entire area. We were pooped on by birds three times and eventually hardly dared to lie on the sun loungers anymore. Because of this, the whole area feels slightly dirty. The food is extremely expensive and not particularly tasty (everything seems to be frozen and reheated), which surprised us given how highly other reviews praised it. This was especially frustrating because there is no alternative place to eat, as this hotel is the only one on the island. You are therefore left with no choice but to spend a lot of money on disappointing food. Some of this is understandable, as it is an island in the middle of the ocean. However, given the high price this accommodation charges, it leaves a bad aftertaste. The accommodation itself is very expensive, plus all additional costs for food and transport to and from the island, and it promises pure paradise and relaxation—which unfortunately was simply not the case for us.

John nos recibió increíble, la vista de la habitación Pavitos súper privilegiada. Todo muy hermoso y mágico. Todo excelente. Solo recomendaría ampliar la carta del restaurante con más opciones y variedades.

El personal es superamable. El Restaurante tiene una buena cocina. Las instalaciones están muy bien. Ofrecen varias excursiones adicionales. No hay nada que no me haya gustado.

Giorgio (10/5): - Non solo la struttura si trova in un posto magnifico, ossia una piccola isola dominata da Fregate, Cormorani ed Ibis, con pochissime stanze (al punto che prima delle 10 e dopo le 15, ossia fuori dagli orari del beach club che comunque non è fastidioso, si ha la sensazione di essere i proprietari dell'isola), ma John (il responsabile), Dani, Enoch, Josè Angel e tutti gli altri membri dello staff sono persone splendide, super disponibili e ci hanno fatto passare cinque bellissimi giorni di vacanza. Anche il cibo è ottimo! nulla da segnalare

Helena (10/5): Dias relaxantes em um paraíso com atendimento, instalações e comida excelentes! - Amei a paisagem, a energia e as fragatas voando sobre a ilha! Além disso, o atendimento da equipe do Pao Pao, em especial do Daniel e John foram impecáveis. Todos os passeios, refeições e dias que passamos na ilha foram incríveis, super recomendo!! O box do banheiro vazava água e deixava um pouco alagado pós banho. A música começando as 9 da manhã incomoda um pouco os quartos que estão virados para a piscina.

Safaa (10/5): Des personnes incroyables pour une petite perle des Caraïbes - Pao pao hotel est le meilleur endroit ou j’ai séjourné en Colombie. Que dire de cet endroit ? Tellement de choses et dans des choses tellement simples. Oui des personnes viennent faire la fête jusqu’à 15h tous les jours, oui il y a de la musique, oui parfois ça peut paraître rempli de monde. Mais si vous vous arrêtez a cela vous n’avez rien compris a lame de cet endroit, qui doit beaucoup aux personnes qui y travaillent. Une équipe assez incroyable, qui travaille avec acharnement mais qui est prête a partager leur âme avec vous. J’ai été touchée au plus profond par ces regards, ces paroles, ces attentions, ces sourires, ce partage. Et si mon voyage en Colombie était a refaire j’aurais passée bien plus que 3 jours dans cet endroit ou j’ai trouve la paix. Merci a cette équipe de folie, je ne vous oublierai pas. Cristina (10/5): Experiencia única - Me encantó tener una habitación con vistas al mar. Desde la terraza de la habitación accedías a la pequeña playa que teníamos al frente. Nos llevaban el desayuno o la comida a la terraza, también podíamos ir al restaurante del hotel. Disfrutamos de amaneceres y atardeceres increíbles, de la naturaleza, el mar, los peces y las aves. El personal del hotel ofrece diferentes actividades por lo que no nos aburrimos, también nos prestaron máscaras para hacer snorkel, pero es un lugar para descansar, desconectar y disfrutar del entorno. El trato de todo el personal es excelente, sobre todo Erick y Jhon nos hicieron sentir como en casa y eso hace que la experiencia sea todavía más única. Nada
