• Suzanne (4/5): Disappointing facilities despite good on-paper location - Despite its convenient location near the Sealink Magnetic Island Ferry terminal and the Tobruk Pool, we experienced multiple disappointments and frustrations with the accommodation, which had been poorly prepared. Host did not respond to a query we sent two days prior to our trip and was not available at all outside Monday to Friday 9 to 5, a fact we were not aware of at time of booking. Many minor maintenance issues had been neglected. Sensor light to illuminate lockbox had not been left on; no milk in fridge despite claim to opposite; nothing resembling a kitchen sponge in the place; no can opener or veggie peeler; ensuite shower dripped all the time; no bulb in walk-through wardrobe; broken bedside lamp in B2; no first aid kit, which was an issue when one of our group tripped over a useless bedside table placed inappropriately between kitchen and dining area. Overall, facilities were cheap and minimal (only 3 dishwasher cubes for a week's stay, no shampoo, minimal quantity of liquid soap). All those issues should have been attended to prior to guests' arrival. Outside the host's control but also relevant to future guests: the location was much noisier than we'd expected - lots of nighttime traffic on the Strand; and the lack of elevator makes access complicated. On the positive side, the unit block is well maintained, the fans and a/c worked.

• John (6/5): - Location was ok. The pool facility was good. Limited parking onsite. We don’t receive a garage door button to utilise garage. This also meant we couldn’t open the gate from the vehicle so always had to stop and walk over to the keypad and enter the code to get in and out of the compound. I tried contacting property manager but had no replies on the garage and gate opener. With no elevators to the upper levels made difficult each time coming and going.

• Ian (9/5): Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. - Great location, very comfortable and fully fitted out apartment. Little bit of noise and no curtains or blinds toward balcony - some light came through to the bedroom

• Vera (8/5): Fair. - Beautiful pool. Close to the ferry terminal. I forgot to ask about stairs, and these were problematical for us. View obstructed on the main balcony because it was solid. No outside lounge.

The host was responsive and had a new key lock fitted immediately.

• Lynne (8/5): Very good - The Location of the Unit was good, is was clean and fresh, beds were comfortable. Overall a good location When we arrived we noticed no Iron or Ironing Board, two damaged power points. No under cover parking
• Stephen (8/5): Very conveniet but need a car, Spacious and comfortable. - great location. Spacious. Great aircon. Good facilities. On site parking available. two flights of stairs is a challenge for the elderly/infirm.
