Guest Reviews
- Robinson (1/5): Misled booking: construction, closed amenities, zero help. - Thanksgiving Nightmare: misrepresented listing, surprise third-party owner, construction everywhere, pool/hot tub closed, ignored evidence (URL, facilities, email), Booking.com wasted hours, host hostile, anonymous, unprofessional. Arrived to active construction—workers, noise, tarps, dust; property felt tired/old. Pool/hot tub were closed even though, on booking day, the listing showed them in three places: the URL slug (“…w-pool-hot-tub…”), the Facilities panel, and the Welcome Email (with pool/hot-tub hours, no closure notice). When asked “where do you see that?”, I provided screenshots of all three—ignored or stonewalled. Booking.com didn’t help and burned five hours until I paid for new lodging. I refused to check in at the “24-hour front desk” (polite but no authority). The host was hostile, refused to identify name/company, denied knowing about construction, and accused me of being “threatening” when I said I’d pursue legal action.
Bottom line: if I’d known about construction, I wouldn’t be upset—I simply wouldn’t have booked. Under normal circumstances Glacier Lodge offers a pool and hot tub, so expecting those was reasonable. Would not book again unless the listing is corrected and support actually resolves problems. I thought I booked Glacier Lodge, but it was an unexpected third-party owner.
- Myrna (2/5): - The location. We checked in and were so disappointed in the condition of the suite we left and went to another hotel. The building is beyond tired, it is an exhausted! I wouldn't give it more than 2 star rating.
- RAJESHKUMAR (7/5): Good hotel for short stay. - Location of the property was good and nearby to all attractions by walking distance. No parking for car with rooftop box, need to park our car 15 minutes away by walk distance in public car parking during overnight. However, over night parking was free.
Also, our room wasn’t clean every day even though it was mentioned at the reception.
- Rita (9/5): Thank you for a lovely stay in a lovely accommodation! - The location was excellent. We enjoyed the Indigenous cultural centre, just steps away, and the Audain Art museum a few blocks away. The food was excellent - breakfast at Provisions and supper at Portobella less than 120 meters away. The view from our bedroom and living room was of the beautifully lit Fairmount and Four Seasons across the street with a Whistler, Blackcomb mountain backdrop. The high/cathedral ceiling in the dining/living room gave a feeling of serene, cozy, expansiveness. The bed was super comfortable and we kept the thermostat turned down otherwise we would have become too warm. The pool and hot tub were delightful. We enjoyed these amenities over the supper hour when it seemed to empty out and we had the pools almost to ourselves. The front staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. We had a wonderful weekend in Whistler and these facilities were perfect for us. Thank you. This is very minor but I thought there was the additional convenience of a washing machine in the unit but there was a general coin operated laundry facility on the floor.
We would have enjoyed several nespresso coffee pods for the nespresso maker in the kitchen, had they been provided.
- Saeed (9/5): Superb -
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was fab! So much space, very clean and well looked after and in a great area very close to the centre of Whistler Everything was great.
- Margot (9/5): We loved our stay in Whistler - great location and very comfortable apartment! - Great location!
- Sheila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barb (9/5): Superb - Great lay-out for several different people or different couples. Lots of extra blankets and pillows. Well stocked of dry-goods supplies.
- Ann (9/5): I would highly recommend this property. - N/A
- Sawatzky (9/5): Nice comfortable place to stay in a great location! - A nice comfortable size for our family of 5 (5 adults/teenagers). The loft was neat and the decor. Close walking distance to the village and restaurants A few minor things look a bit tired or need attention…for example the toilet paper holder needs to be screwed in as it pops off when changing the roll. Some wearing on the trims and mouldings, but otherwise very nice place to stay! Parking adds up at $20 per day
