• emmanuelle (1/5): - RIEN, fuyez cet établissement. Expérience catastrophique du début à la fin. Nous avions réservé une chambre double “vue mer”, mais l’établissement a complètement omis de préciser qu’il y avait d’importants travaux juste à côté de la chambre. Chaque jour, dès 7h du matin jusqu’en fin d’après-midi, nous avons subi un bruit incessant de marteau-piqueur et de chantier, rendant tout repos absolument impossible. Nous étions obligés de quitter la chambre dès le matin tellement le vacarme était insupportable. À notre arrivée, la salle de bain était dans un état inadmissible : de la poussière partout, y compris sur les toilettes et les surfaces, car la fenêtre donnant directement sur le chantier avait été laissée ouverte. En plus de ça, l’eau était coupée. Après intervention du gérant, il y avait à peine de pression, ce qui a rendu les douches quasiment impossibles pendant tout le séjour. Le plus choquant reste l’attitude de l’établissement. Le gérant a multiplié les promesses pour calmer la situation : réduction, transport gratuit vers l’aéroport, “arrangement commercial”… Rien n’a jamais été respecté. Absolument rien. Pire encore, ils prétendent ne pas être au courant des nuisances ou disent que “ce n’est pas tous les jours”, alors que plusieurs commentaires signalent exactement les mêmes problèmes depuis des semaines, voire des mois. L’établissement continue pourtant de louer ces chambres au même prix sans jamais prévenir les clients de la réalité des conditions sur place. Pour moi, c’est clairement malhonnête : ils encaissent l’argent en sachant parfaitement que les séjours seront gâchés. Nous avons essayé de régler la situation calmement, puis via Booking, mais l’établissement n’a jamais voulu assumer quoi que ce soit ni proposer de vraie solution. Je déconseille totalement cet établissement. Entre le manque d’hygiène, les nuisances insupportables, les faux engagements et l’absence totale de professionnalisme, c’est probablement l’une des pires expériences que nous ayons eues en voyage.

• Eveline (9/5): Great stay! - The room was comfortable and the place was very clean. The staff were friendly and allowed us to leave our suitcase after checkout. The kitchen and living room were well equipped, and the yard was green and eco-friendly.

• Bernardo Ayres (4/5): Charming house by the beach - It is a charming house near the main beaches in Praia, in a secure area. Acctually i enjoyed the house and has potencial, nice vibe, comfortable bed. The manager Samuel is a cool person but seems not to keep the house working well. Imagine that you are on holidays trying to relax but before 8am the staff is being very loud right outside your room, throwing robes in your balcony, when you arrive at night there is no hot water at all, no water pressure, actually icing cold water (they have fixed in the next day by request)... is hard to relax like that. In the next day we went to cook and there was no gas to cook (they have changed after i requested) and when brushing our teeth the water stops due to the maintenance they are doing. The house itself is very charming but by the size of moreless 4 bedrooms and only 1 rented as i realized, things should be working... i hope in the future to give another opportunity to this beautiful house but for me it was a bad experience. There is no tv in the room, mirror etc. I think if they had more attention to our stay it would be everything great.

• oulmont (8/5): - L 'appartement dans la vila Maria etait plus confortable et surtout dans une impasse donc pas de bruit. Le seul inconvénient etait que la cuisinière a gaz pourtant neuve ne fonctionnait pas. La cuisine trop peu pratique et pas vraiment équipée correctement mais le séjour etait court donc on c'est bien adapté.

Dies ist eine Kritik an Booking.com : Bei der Buchung war nicht deutlich , dass man nur vor Ort beim Gastgeber zahlen kann . this is not a fault of the host!
• Claire (1/5): Pas idéal, nous ne le recommandons pas - Gentillesse de l’accueil, dans une rue au calme de la circulation, propre Déçues par la « disponibilité » du personnel qui ne l’a pas été quand nous avons écrit la journée plusieurs fois suite à une annulation de vol, et aucune réponse. Arrivées à 2h du matin nous avons dû prendre un autre hôtel pour plus de sécurité. Pour notre deuxième nuit, nous devions réglé en liquide personnel arrivé à 23h alors que nous nous levions à 4h pour un autre vol. Logement au vent sans fenêtre + volet qui ne ferme pas pour dormir donc lumière extérieure toute la nuit

Tivemos uns problemas com cortes de eletricidade. Depois de ter comunicado, foi resolvido. Talvez foi da central. A casa do banho era privativa, mas o acesso não era no quarto.. Adicionaria uma mesa e uma cadeira ao quarto.
• Patricia (8/5): - Beaux espaces, belle déco dans les espaces communs. A 1 minute à pied de la plage de Praia et 10 minutes de Quebra Canela. Communication facile avec le personnel. Très bel endroit pour terminer notre séjour avant de rejoindre l'aéroport qui est à moins de 10 minutes.

• AKEM NKOUM (8/5): Lieu interressant - Personnel convivial et très dévoué. lieux propre, calme avec une deco très original. Sécurisé et très proche de la mer. Chambre conviviale et climatisée. Internet fluide. Manque de télévision au sallon. La cuisinière non fonctionnel empêche de se faire des petits plats pourtant la cuisine est légèrement équipée. Présence de moustiques à l'extérieur empêchant de profil de la terrasse dans la nuit.

• Teresa (8/5): Clean stay with excellent location right by the beach - The location is excellent. It's a short walk to the beaches Nd several nice restaurants. The manager organised transport for us and helped with little inquiries. There is no breakfast during off-season and trying to make a coffee in the kitchen was a bit of a logistical challenge. There were no towels in the room and the night concierge didn't know where to find any either.

• Sara (5/5): Good location, very bad hygiene - Good and safe location. The check-in process was made with a maid and she didn’t explain anything, hard to even get a smile back. The room was dirty, we had trash in the bathroom from previous guests and ants on the bed and bathroom. Two nice workers came to help us with the ants during the night out of our desperation, but it didn’t really work.

Their attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and willingness to assist with anything I needed truly made me feel at home. They are a huge credit to this guesthouse! A special shoutout to Esther, whose managerial and people skills are second to none. She runs the guesthouse with such grace and efficiency, creating a welcoming and harmonious atmosphere for all guests. Her ability to connect with people and ensure everything runs smoothly is truly remarkable. The guesthouse itself is an absolute gem. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas is impeccable, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The location is perfect—just a 2-minute walk from the cutest beach, where I spent many relaxing hours soaking up the sun and enjoying the serene surroundings. It’s also conveniently close to local attractions and dining options, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Casa Estrela Sea & Art Guesthouse is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or a home base for your adventures, this guesthouse has it all. • Kirsty (3/5): A few small changes and this could be a really great place to stay. Needs some care put into the guest experience - Beautiful beholding in a great location. Could have been done so well No access to drinking water. Couldn’t even boil water to brush our teeth which was disappointing when we arrived after a very late flight. Also said our bathroom was private but it wasn’t which was false advertising. The screen in our room wasn’t attached to the door and the bathroom door didn’t close. No care taken

There was a kitchen but no one to explain if I was allowed to use it. Bit of a language barrier but manageable. Not any convenience stores near for water and provisions. Bed rooms sparce; could use bedside table.
