• Cristy (6/5): Not sure how to feel. - Amazing location right across from southern cross station, good size self contained apartment Room smelt of smoke and there was plastic over the smoke detector, the apartment was tidy but definitely needs a big spring clean. But it was the cheapest option so you get what you pay for. 4pm check in is far to late.

• Aaron & Gina (8/5): Close to city and public transport - Great location close to Spencer Street train station. Owner was very accommodating and helpful during our stay. Was tricky to get in for checkin as noone was at front reception, had to wait for someone to be coming out of the building to be able to get in to get the ket from the lock box. Room was left a little dity when we arrived.
• Aveva (5/5): Convenient location but will not stay here again. - The location was quiet and easy to get around Very dirty, walls and couch stained. Moved coffee table and had some chips and rubbish under it. Sat on the bed and the slats broke. Owner did come to fix and offered we just use a mattress on the floor if it happened again. Parking was listed on the advert but cost extra if you wanted to book

• Lee (2/5): Extremely disappointing. - Our room was given away to another group of people despite the fact that we'd pre-paid and arrived well within the check in time. It took almost an hour of waiting in the cold to get the issue 'sorted out' and the only solution we were offered was a different room which was not the same as the room we booked. The man responsible for the keys and rooms completely ruined my best friends birthday.

• Patricia (5/5): Probably wouldn’t book again. - The views were amazing! Place needs a deep clean. One of the bedrooms was meant to have two double beds and there was only one which meant my two teen boys had to share a bed. The sofa bed was made up in the loungeroom like request which I was happy with. Clearer instructions with parking would be ideal as we had to call the owner to find out where to park and it was hard to understand the instructions he was telling us when we called him. Also an additional $30 was added for parking which we weren’t expecting. Luckily it was only a place to sleep so we could get to the airport quite early the next day. The location of the place was hard to find and we had to wait for another resident to open the door to access the key in the lockbox. While we were waiting for the door to be open-lots of dodgy looking characters around which also made us feel uncomfortable as we have young children.
• Anonymous (1/5): We left at early hours of the morning because we couldn’t stand the condition of the place - The location It wasn’t clean, there wasn’t any coffee or milk, the furniture was all stained, the floor was sticky, the shower didn’t appear to have been cleaned.

• Darmody (3/5): Poor - Dirty bed linen, no plug for kitchen sink no soap for shower. One of the 'double beds' was only a fold out sofa, with very dirty and uncomfortable mattress. Check in instructions weren't sent, needed many phone calls standing in street with luggage and kids trying to get in. For this price (more than we had ever paid for similar) was very disappointed.

• Cara (9/5): Great apartment for weekend in Melbourne - Incredible view, very close to transport, the host was very respondent and replied to all my questions quickly. There were two bedrooms as described, which worked well for me and my partner as my mother had her own room. The apartment is cosy, but absolutely perfect for 3 x people. I thought it was really good value for money, especially during the Australian Tennis Open weekend.

Sofa bed quite stained & the mattress used to try & make the couch bed comfortable was disgustingly dirty. Wanted 3 separate beds as was in the picture on Booking.com but this was not the unit we got.

• Heike (3/5): I wouldn't book this apartment again. - The view was amazing! The apartment smelled like cigarettes and so did the towel that was provided. The bed was wobbly, there were stains on the carpet and the couch. The couch was very uncomfortable.

The process of getting the key to the apartment (waiting for a random person to enter the building in order to gain access to the lobby) and then locating the car space in the underground car park was time consuming and difficult. The apartment itself was a good size but not maintained well. Dirty carpet and stained lounge. Uncomfortable beds and dirty pillowcase on one. Rubbish under the bed and someone else’s clothing left on the washing machine. One bed seemed to be broken and was uncomfortable. Shower head would not stay in position when adjusted in height. Owner tried to be helpful when contacted about the parking difficulty but the language barrier made it very hard to be understood. We got there in the end but it was stressful.

• Gary (6/5): Pleasant - Great location in the heart of the city, nice secure building with amazing views. Free pool and spa were great. Full kitchen was great. The cleanliness wasn't good, stains on the carpet, grotty couch, no clean sheets to make up the pull out bed which I slept on. Had to use a quilt with no cover and sleep directly on the dirty mattress. The pillow case on my pillow wasn't clean so had to put a towel over it. The car parking costs an extra $30 on top of the very well priced room.

Check in time was 4pm and we were unable to check in until 5:30pm as the property was still undergoing maintenance and cleaning. Microwave was broken.
