• Peggy Zeman (7/5): Great location but did not meet expectations - Great location. Finding the apartment was tricky. It's down an alley. Once inside the main door from the street we did not know which apartment over 3 floors was ours. There were not clear instructions . It was frustrating. Then when we finally found the right one the door was finicky and would not unlock. After a few back and forth messages, we were told to pull the door towards us while turning the key. That would've been invaluable to know before we struggled with the door for 20 mins. The shower in the upstairs bathroom was out of order with a sign to not use. This causes two couples to have to share the one bathroom with the shower in it. It was priced for location but the accommodation did not meet the advertised expiration.

• Annemarie (9/5): Super! - Nette Kommunikation rund um die Uhr, Unterkunft sehr groß und schön. Lage perfekt. Klima hat gut funktioniert. Die Wohnungstür ist schwer aufzuschließen. Und von innen auch nur mit Schlüssel zu öffnen. Einmal waren wir in der Wohnung und hatten den Schlüssel draußen stecken lassen. Wir mussten durch die Fenster jemanden um Hilfe bitten um überhaupt die Wohnung verlassen zu können. Das könnte im Extremfall gefährlich sein.
• Michelle (4/5): Disappointing - Great location 👌 Unfortunately, as many reviews have alluded to, the door did not work. We arrived at 2 45pm after walking for many hours as we arrived very early on our flight. It took us 10 minutes to open the door. We dropped bags and decided to go back out. We couldn't get out due to the door, and I called and text the host. He asked me why I had entered before the official check in time of 3pm! My family were all age over 65 years old, seriously! It turned me off the place 💯.
• Karen (7/5): We enjoyed our stay but the property was tired and in need of some attention. - The property was nice and central. The beds were comfortable. The boiler was leaking and the bowl collecting water had leaked all over the kitchen floor when we arrived. We did report it but nothing was done and no further communication was received from Marco after reporting it. The toaster didn’t work and the shower heads were broken. The dishwasher still had dirty dishes in when we arrived.
• Joubert (6/5): Good location, nice apartment - but the apartment was not clean, the walls were full of mosquitoes that was killed on th - The location was superb, within walking distance of all major attractions. The front door lock had a problem and we were stuck outside for more than an hour before we could get in. The host was not very helpful and I had to nag and phone often for assistance.

• Julie-anne (1/5): Terrible stay ruined by the host whom doesn't fix any issues within the apartment. - The location After accessing the lock box to get our keys, I was told someone is there for a couple of hours late afternoon that could help with getting our bags up the stairs. No one was there except a resident of the building whom was kind enough to assist us, not only with our bags, but opening the door as we struggled with it. So much so, that we couldn't all leave the apartment for our entire stay for fear of not being able to get back in. We rang immediately and were told someone would be out the next morning. The morning came and I rang to see what time they would come, only to be told they weren't sending someone and we need to try better at locking/opening the door. Lie after lie we were told. Eventually, my son rang the host to tell him how bad the situation was and a locksmith was sent later that afternoon but even he said it wasn't 100% right after trying to fix it. My daughter(24yrs) remained in the apartment our entire stay while we ventured out. This literally ruined our stay in Venice. I'd also explained to the host that the tv didn't work and the aircon in the second bedroom didn't work. I was so mad with mainly the front door lock and how it affected our stay that I asked for a 50% refund of our stay. I listed everything, but mainly the door and lack of them accepting any responsibility or taking action quickly. Back and forth, and he agreed as long as I didn't post a review. I said fine, as long as the door was fixed immediately as I didn't want anyone else going through what we did. I then today, thought I'd look at some reviews. The tv and air con haven't worked and they've known about this, for ages, the door has also been an issue. We also had issues with the shower head downstairs and used the upstairs shower as a result. Anyway, I believe this host is happy to take your money but won't pay to fix any issues that arise.
• Carol (9/5): Great place to stay in Venice! - This apartment is near St Mark's Square and easy to find. We were able to drop our bags off before check-in so we could start touring the city. The apartment is huge. Having two bathrooms was great. Highly recommend!
• Jennifer (8/5): Great apartment, would be perfect if there were a few easy maintenance issues fixed and the place was deep cleaned once - A huge apartment with lots of charm and right in the heart of everything that Venice has to offer. The television did not work. We advised Marco who said a maintenance person would fix it the next day but no one came. The shower head needed fixing.

• Tamara (7/5): Check before booking with the host about the working AC if you are traveling during hot season! - The location was amazing. The place was very clean. The host was very communicative. We stayed a few days with the sole purpose of resting and acclimating time zones. I chose this place for location and AC. (Our visit was in Aug. so it's HOT in Venice!) Unfortunately the AC wasn't working. Our host was great and sent a technician over by the 2nd day which helped for a few hours and then it broke again. We requested some fans which did finally come. The property was lovely, and had the AC been functional, we could have slept comfortably. But the heat and humidity made sleeping a challenge for the whole family. The rooms were 96 degrees inside (35 Cel.) and opening windows (no screens) allowed mosquitos in plus the noise from the street so that wasn't the best option either.
• Cristina (9/5): Nice stay. - It’s very close to Piazza San Marco. The apartment is pretty with a nice decoration. It’s well equipped. The host is nice and helpful. Some things are a little run down; the toaster didn’t work, the glass shelf over the bathroom sink was loose, the wall hanger in the hallway was falling down. Minor inconveniences, but they should be taken care of.

• Lucy (7/5): Good - Location was great. Loved the size of the apartment for 6 people. Dishwasher was full of dirty dishes when we got there. Manager blamed it on previous guests not telling him that there was no washer detergent. I think the blame is on the cleaning staff, not the guests.

• Pauline (7/5): Great family time away - 100% the location excellent once you get used to church bells The apartment was also a good size so plenty of room for the four of us Not very clean especially the bathrooms ( inside shower tiles grout was black ) and lots of item in the apartment very tired need to be revamped ,a lot of the lights didn’t work so it made apartment very dark inside ,curtains that don’t open and close properly,shower head falling to bits also a few extra things was we had one set of towels and sheets to do us a week which wasn’t very hygienic no kitchen dish towels to dry dishes and cutting knife’s these few extra items would have made our weekly stay more comfortable

• Francesca (6/5): Pleasant - The apartment is spacious, in a very convenient location, and managed by a helpful and responsive tour company. They were quick to sort out repairs and help us make bookings for tours / left luggage on checkout day. The sofa bed is ancient and broken, not suitable for anyone over 25kg / 60 lbs. The apartment is FULL of mosquitos - not a new thing clearly as there were smooshed bug corpses all over the walls. The shower is also ancient, slightly broken and takes 5 minutes for the water to run hot. The kitchen is missing basics (tea towel, oven glove). I hope Faville Tours will get these improvements made as their service in fixing things and helping us with questions / issues was fantastic.

• Heinrich (10/5): The property played a big role in our enjoyment of Venice. We went with friends who we meet up with in Europe every 2-3 - Location, location, location. It’s just off St Mark’s Square in Venice. Very spacious. Ideal for two couples as there is 2 bathrooms. The well equiped kitchen helps a lot as eating out in Venice can become fairly expensive if you are staying for longer than a weekend. Managing handover of keys and keeping in touch, as we booked nearly 4 months ahead, worked well with messaging through Bookings.com app. Will definitely stay here again. Can honestly not fault anything.

Good space for family. kitchen well equipped. three bathrooms. washing machine and buggy were very useful! nervous about staircase up to top bathroom incase a child fell down steps. perhaps a child gate would be a good idea.

• Scott (6/5): location is amazing though property could use some upgrades. - location is amazing just down from st Mark’s square and close to Rialto bridge. the staff was great and helped get us in early at no extra fee since we were arriving early morning from Vienna on a night train - they let us drop bags while they finished cleaning apartment. so appreciative. laundry on site was a plus. kitchen allowed us to cook in two nights and save some money and relax. it’s dark in the apartment even with lights on and windows open. furniture is dated and stained (a blood stain on the couch was pretty gross). it was cleaned but still felt old and dingy. there was laundry but we had to buy pods to wash things. Clothes struggled to dry in the apartment overnight after coming out of the wash. The bathroom shower heads need replaced, they aren’t working very well and slide down the height pole too.
• Rebecca (9/5): Superb - Location was great. Close to St Mark's Square. The windows are very sound proof, which was perfect to shut out all the outside noise. Directions to the apartment were not sent to me until I had paid the city tax and when we were walking around Venice the day before we checked in, we thought we'd try to find the place using the address. But because Google Maps didn't work well, we spent a couple hours wandering around. If the directions were sent when I paid originally for the apartment rental, I would've had the directions with me when we were looking for the place the day before we checked in. The lock on the front door needs to be desperately fixed. There were times we thought we'd never be able to get into the apartment. Lots of mosquitoes, but I know that's not in your control.
• Robin (10/5): Location is Everything: close to sights, food and shopping - Location was incredible - so close to Saint Mark's Square, you could hear the bells ring every hour! We also left a cell phone on a bus and the host was able to call and found it for us, we are so grateful for their help! Not ideal for folks that can't do stairs, you have 2 flights and no elevator, don't bring heavy luggage

• Sophia (5/5): Great location, but not much else to like. Would not stay here again. - Can't beat the location. Great to have a washing machine however there is no dryer so not very helpful if you travel in Winter. Zero water pressure, so bad the kitchen tap would need to be left on to drip for over an hour to fill a single cup. Shower terrible as well could not possibly wash your hair and 3rd bathroom has ridiculous access up steep very unsafe steps rendering it almost unusable. Glass shelf in bathroom was half hanging off the wall and another hazard. Having to take rubbish to the canal on check out before 8am was ridiculous when you are trying to tidy, pack and vacate all by 10am. Booking through booking.com I expect some basic hotel amenities - don't stay here thinking there will be shampoo, soap, tea coffee or anything else for that matter. We basically had to do a shop to stay here for 3 nights. Should be an Airbnb not Booking.com .
• Tom (6/5): Pleasant - An apartment rental with a full kitchen is usually stocked with basic things like tea or coffee, sugar and salt. Nothing like that was provided here, making the kitchen virtually useless. This is no airbnb. What it does provide is room for 6 to sleep, and a great location.
• Nicola (9/5): great apartment for a group stay, close proximity to tourist attractions - it was very spacious and loved the proximity to tourist attractions the front door lock was a little difficult to open
• David (5/5): Central location, fair price, could be easily improved. - Very central and spacious. You will have everything just outside the house. As it is an old city, the house is old as well and there are steep staircases, but, it is not a negative. Just be aware of you have movement difficulties or need to carry a lot of stuff. There is a well written instructions document for guests. Lack of bathroom and kitchen essentials that guests have to buy. Not something you want to worry when in holidays, this could be provided, even at an extra cost. Also, it was not very well cleaned, specially bathroom and bedrooms. Not good for little children. A special attention to these details and it could be a spectacular place.
