• Alex (6/5): Great - if you know what you're going to get - This place was perfectly fine, even good - if you know what to expect (see more in the dislikes). The rooms were clean, charming, and fairly bright. It was peaceful and quiet in the alley/complex where our rooms were (after we were moved). The location was pretty good (close to train street and more). Le Velo Bleu (restaurant around the corner in the alley) is delightful, with the kindest owners! We didn't like the deception. They have at two locations (that I'm aware of), but only advertise the one closer to Train St. We were told a day before we arrived that we'd be in a new location (electrical issues were cited - I don't really believe it) - I attached a Maps screenshot showing the actual vs advertised location. Secondly, we booked a quadruple room. What we got was exactly the photos of the Quadruple Room online, but it's actually two rooms with the public hallway in between. It's not a 2-bedroom unit, nor does it have a kitchenette in it (there was a shared kitchen on another floor). Given we were travelling with kids, we were really unhappy we were split into two separately locked rooms. I attached a photo of one room, plus looking from one room across the hall towards the other room. Note that the bathroom is shared by both rooms, but locked from anyone else. We asked for a discount, and they offered around 10% and wouldn't budge beyond that. Honestly, if I had known all of this when we booked, I would have been really pleased with it. But the deception around the homestay's location and one Quadruple vs two double rooms really soured the whole experience.

The property was changed in the last minute so there was no opportunity to book somewhere else so the room given was not the same as in the pictures seen online. Bedding was unclean, bathroom and toilet were unclean, no place to hang your clothes or towel in the upstairs bathroom, rooms were very small.

A few hours before arrival (we were already in the plane), they messaged us that they are overbooked and cancelled our reservation. They didn't care if we could find another accommodation or not.

• Nathalie (5/5): Horrible - La proximité des lieux d’intérêts.3 minutes de la rue du train .plein centre du vieux quartier La chambre était très très humide. L’impression de dormir dans une cave . Pas de fenêtre à ouvrir .juste une ouverture cassée au dessus du lit comme es toiles d’araignée d’ailleurs. Les lattes du sol cassées nous empêchant de marcher pieds nus. La « salle de bain@ n’est pas dans la chambre mais sous un escalier(état limite insalubre) on peut croiser n’importe qui en sortant de la « douche » . Pour finir ,nous sommes arrivés tôt le matin après un bus de nuit pour un séjour de 3 nuits.le propriétaire nous a  harcelé toute la journée pour qu’on le paie le jour même. Il pleuvait des cordes et j’ai demandé un délais jusqu’au lendemain qu’il n’a pas accepté. Il a fallu courir le ATM (vides le dimanche) pour satisfaire ce mystérieux propriétaire que nous n’avons jamais vu puisque le paiement de fait via un coffre qui est dans la « chambre » et d’une vidéo qu’il faut lui transmettre ,preuve qu’on a bien payé. Notre linge n’a pas sou sécher des 3 jours tellement la location était humide,serviettes de toilette idem ,jamais changées,donc sentant l’humidité… bref ,au vu des autres commentaires,je pense que les autres chambres doivent répondre au critères de conformité mais celle ci ne devrait en aucun cas être louée.

• sean (1/5): Buyer beware - WE DID SHOW UP. The owner keeps insisting we didn't show but we did. DO NOT STAY HERE! I can't see how the reviews are authentic. The room was very small, not clean and the bed was made of pallets. It wasn't the deluxe room with a balcony that we paid for. The owner knocked some money off because we had trouble with the lock, but that was all.
• Natalia (10/5): Good - Located in a quiet square away from hustle and bustle. Great for my kids as there as a place with no traffic to play in a little as we came out. When we arrived issue with the room which was resolved super fast by the staff. The lights light up automatically at nigh when someone comes in, the doors are thin and made out of glass = lots of light kept waking me up and the noise of people coming in and out was very clear.

Nhận và trả chìa đơn giản. Cầu thang hơi bé nên nếu du lịch cùng vali thì sẽ hơi bất tiện. Không có người thu gom rác hằng ngày

• djagr (6/5): Private bathroom not really private - Very nice and quiet bedroom despite the central location. We appreciate the small lamp provided. The private bathroom is outside the room at the ground floor next to the lobby where other guests hangs out or passes by - this was not communicated in advance. The experience of using the toilet feels more like using a shared toilet in hostels as there is no privacy. The bathroom itself was dirty, poorly ventilated, and moldy.

• Frederic (3/5): Nicht zu empfehlen - Gute Lage, nah an der Altstadt. Alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Kommunikation und Check-in über whatsapp war auch easy. Wo fang ich da nur an. Das Zimmer war feucht und vermutlich deswegen auch schimmelig. Man kann nir empfehlen nicht an die Decke zu schauen. Es lag ganze Zeit dieser feuchte Geruch in der Luft. Das Bad war heruntergekommen. Es konnte nicht gelüftet werden, da das Fenster so rostig war, nicht mal der Rollo ging hoch. Ergo, es war ganze Zeit dunkel und kein Sonnenlicht im Zimmer, sondern nur das schreckliche weisse Licht der Lampen. Die Handtücher waren aus Plastikstoff und haben keine Feuchtigkeit aufgenommen, man hätte sich auch mit einer Plastiktüte „abtrocknen“ können, so hat es sich angefühlt. Zum Glück hatten wir eigene Handtücher dabei. Es gab keinen Fußabtreter im Zimmer, obwohl das ganze Bad die Dusche war. Sprich, man hatte immer nasse Füße. Zimmerservice gab es auch keinen. Alles in allem eine schlechte Erfahrung. Wir haben das Zimmer gebucht, jedoch (zum Glück) nicht durchgängig darin geschlafen, da wir aufs Schiff gegangen sind und unsere Koffer dort gelassen haben. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt auch nicht zu empfehlen.

• Emma Cosedis (5/5): Vil nok ikke booke igen. - Fin central beliggenhed. Fin beskrivelse af, hvordan man kommer ind i gården og bygningen. Da vi ankom var der ingen til at hjælpe os med at checke ind, og vi havde ikke fået at vide, hvilket værelse vi skulle bo på. I løbet af vores ophold blev vi pludselig bedt om at skifte værelse, hvilket vi ikke tidligere var blevet informeret om. Det værelse vi blev tildelt i anden omgang havde ikke et badeværelse på værelset, men ude på gangen - så vær obs på det!

• Antonia Smits (9/5): Geweldig verblijf - De locatie was perfect: bij Train Street om de hoek en in de buurt van tal van leuke restaurantjes en koffietentjes. De kamer was fijn met goed airco, het balkon ideaal om in de ochtend te zitten. De hostess hebben we amper gezien maar is heel goed bereikbaar wanneer het nodig is. We vonden het bed niet heel comfortabel maar voor een paar nachten prima te doen.

• Nathalie (1/5): - Nous n y avons pas séjourné. La chambre était sale, la salle de bain coincée sous l'escalier accédant au 1er étage, elle n'était pas dans la chambre. Dans la chambre il y avait une odeur d égout nauséabonde. Nous ne sommes pas restés.
• Martin (8/5): Lage sehr gut, man ist schnell überall in der Altstadt - Wirklich sehr gute Lage, ist nicht weit weg von der trainstreet.
• nghia (10/5): - Homestay dễ tìm, nằm trong khuôn viên nội bộ nên rất yên tĩnh và an ninh. Vị trí ở gần khu cà phê, khu ăn uống đường tàu chỉ 5 phút đi bộ. Chủ nhà vui vẻ, nhiệt tình, lần sau sẽ quay lại.
• Maxime (8/5): Très bon séjour d'une semaine - Le logement est super bien placé. Au calme et pourtant à 2 minutes à pieds de "Train Street" et du vieux quartier. La chambre est spacieuse et propre.
• Silvia (2/5): Inaccettabile anche per chi ha poche pretese - Ottima posizione, dietro alla train street. Siamo arrivati all’una di notte e la padrona ci ha aperto la porta. Stanza al piano terra molto umida e sporca: muffa sul telecomando del condizionatore, peli e capelli di altre persone sul materasso, mancava l’aria da quanta umidità c’era. Condizionatore puntato sul letto quindi non utilizzabile. Bagno umido e sporco (ragnatele, muffa, capelli e peli).

Tem máquina de lavar roupas disponível de forma gratuita Banheiro, essa é a única falha do lugar, por isso a nota baixou. Fiquei no quarto do andar térreo, que tinha um banheiro exclusivo, mas fora do quarto, e nesse banheiro encontramos baratas por várias vezes

• Beatrice (7/5): - Good location, decent size room. Very dirty under the bed (even found two empty plastic bottles) and they have to do something about that rooster (it is impossible to sleep after 5 am because it’s almost constantly screaming until 8-9 am).

• Vincent (7/5): - Proximité avec le Centre-Ville et le vieux quartier. Tout est à distance de marche. Vous êtes littéralement à 3 minutes de la rue du train. Le lieu n' est pas conforme à la description. Nous avions la chambre du rez de chaussée et la salle de bain est à l' extérieur de celle-ci. Pas vraiment de terrasse où se détendre. Tout de même un bon choix

• Mathilde (8/5): Sympa - Logement bien placé ! Chambre petite, suffisant pour un court séjour Lit pas des plus confortables mais on s’y fait Dommage qu’il n’y ait absolument personne, tout se fait par message. Même le paiement !
• Iris (10/5): - Endroit modeste mais qui fait largement l'affaire ! Gros point fort : le calme ! L'hôtel se trouve dans une petite rue caché ce qui évite d'entendre tout le trafic. Le personnel ( même si il n'est pas présent sur place)est très réactif si vous avez des questions ! Bref je recommande !! Les photos sont très bien prises mais les chambres ne sont pas aussi "propres" que sur les photos (même si elles restent tout a fait correctes)

• Nazierah (7/5): - Straight location, near to train street. Door can't open during arrival and door also can't be locked and it's will cause safety issues.
• Elise (7/5): - The location is great - right next to Train Street, lots of restaurants and cafés around and a few minutes to the heart of the Old Town. Yet it’s in the back alley of a side street so you do get to take a break from the buzzing city. The simple but cute little room would have been perfect had it not been for the surrounding noises in the morning. Yes, it’s Hanoi and I hadn’t expected a tranquil surrounding, but what I also didn’t expect was a rooster living in the backyard (or somebody’s balcony) that will do it’s job and wake you up each morning at 5 o’clock. Soon after I managed to fall asleep again started work in the motorcycle shop right underneath my window, so from around 7 in the morning people would be busy there with all the noises that occur when working on metal. So if you’re an early bird this place might be great for you, but if you enjoy sleeping in on your vacation maybe not so much, depending on the room you’re staying in. There were rooms facing the other way and it might be different there.

• Karen (3/5): - Good location Really hard to find the place because there is no sign of home stay and no one working there to help you. A problem if you arrive too early or late at night. Not clean either

• Florence (7/5): - great location, very friendly owner, replied very fast, easy self check-in, allowed me to drop off my bag a couple of days earlier I expected a homestay to be a bit more personal, there is no staff around, some parts of the room could be slightly better maintained
