- Anita (10/5): The place to stay in Meersburg for guests who admire a stylish, tasteful interior (ultra-clean!) - I do travel a lot via booking.com and I am able to assess and compare different levels of service. I have no preference between a welcoming by owner or staff, but also like the option to find a locker and take out the key. This was the case at "Gästehaus am Schlossplatz" in Meersburg. However, I had never made such a fabulous experience: The information I received from the host prior to arrival was simple excellent, it could not have been any better. It was very friendly and contained all information I needed. When I arrived at the location, it took less than a minute to enter my apartment, as everything was so well explained and matched 100% the situation I found there in the entrance area. The apartment itself was just stunning: It was in a historic building, typical for Meersburg, but inside it was renovated with such a style and high quality materials, the bed was super comfortable, the room was bright and the windows offered a perfect view of the "Schlossplatz" with it's wonderful "New Castle". The place is quiet, there was no noise. I totally loved the atmosphere and the tasteful interior. This studio offered more than a superior hotel room, as it had a fridge, a sink, tea- and coffee-facilities. The coffee was excellent. There is no oven or microwave, but I feel this is not needed. But there is everything you need to enjoy some take-away food, e.g. from the organic shop just opposite the entrance door. However, Meersburg offers more than enough bars and restaurant. I was recommended by a person living in Meersburg to go to the "Fährhaus", right on the shore of the lake, where the ferry between Meersburg and Constance leaves. I loved this Italian restaurant and even went back the next day, as both the quality of the food as well as the service was far above average, very friendly, efficient and professional. It was simply perfect. Not one thing to be improved or changed.
