• Cha (8/5): Stairs stairs. I - It was spotless and beautiful decorated. The host met me at the metro station and walked me to the B&B which was very nice. I asked was there an elevator and was told yes there was a elevator, but then discovered it didn't go to the floor for the B&B you either had to walk up 3 long flights of curved marble stairs or go on the elevator to the second floor and walked down a long flight of stairs .I know it doesn't make sense, but the way they build these old buildings there all entwined.I found it very painful as I'd injured my leg .The other thing is there was no breakfast anymore. I also dont think it's good having a B&B and not living on the premises which I found a lot of them are doing.

• Cecelia (9/5): Comfortable, clean, friendly and convenient. - Once inside, the rooms it is wonderfully clean and modern. Both Vittorio and the woman who cleans the rooms were friendly and very helpful. It is very conveniently located. It may be important to some that there are about 40 stairs to the rooms. It's minor but I was a little chilly at night in mid-October. I would have liked a light blanket, not just a sheet,but the very large towel provided served the purpose.

• Chiara (6/5): Ha un bel potenziale - La camera era grande e spaziosa. La posizione era comoda. Ma manca un po' di attenzione ai dettagli. Purtroppo abbiamo avuto un problema con il check in ma in realtà questo non ha influenzato troppo il nostro giudizio. Quello che ci ha fatti rimanere male era che la camera non era ben pulita(lenzuola sporche) e il wifi in camera nostra non funzionava, all'esterno della camera si e anche nelle zone comuni però comunque porta un po' di disagio non averlo dentro la stanza soprattutto perché non prende inoltre non c'era un frigo in camera solo all'esterno ma non voglio lasciare le mie cose nello spazio comune. Questa struttura poteva veramente essere ottima con i giusti accorgimenti, che peccato.

Bis auf das Breakfast war alles perfekt. Unter Breakfast verstehe ich etwas anderes… Ein Wasserspender der leer war, abgepackte Brötchen, Chips, mini Kaffeemaschine.

• MARLA KARINE (8/5): Quarto muito bom, amplo e limpo. Perto de tudo. - Quarto: bastante amplo, com bom espaço no chuveiro e limpo. A cama também era confortável. Localização: ótima, perto de tudo, principalmente de ótimos restaurantes e cafés, além dos pontos turísticos. Pode ser feito tudo a pé e se precisar de transporte público há duas estações de metrô bem próximas. O Vittorio também é simpatia pura. Não há frigobar ou chaleira elétrica no quarto. O frigobar e a chaleira estão disponíveis em um espaço coletivo, disponível a todos os hóspedes. Também não há acesso por elevador. Os quartos ficam no primeiro andar (que pode ser considerado segundo, porque há uma espécie de mezanino entre o térreo e o primeiro andar) e o acesso é exclusivo por escadas. O elevador que existe atende apenas os andares superiores, que não pertencem ao B&B. Tirei algumas fotos para explicar as escadas que precisarão ser subidas com a intenção de ajudar na decisão das pessoas que precisam avaliar acessibilidade, como cadeirantes, idosos, etc.

• Pietruccia (10/5): NAPOLI STRAORDINARIA - Struttura centralissima, a Spaccanapoli, sopra il mercato della Pignasecca, ma in una vietta defilata quindi più silenziosa, di recente ristrutturazione, stanze ampie e ben arredate, infissi spaziali totalmente isolanti, camere pulitissime, zona comune con caffè/te/acqua/piccolo frigo a disposizione. Proprietari gentilissimi, simpaticissimi . Seguite i loro consigli su cosa fare e dove mangiare, per un soggiorno like a local e non ve ne pentirete . Davvero la disponibilità e la gentilezza di Roberto sono disarmanti, bello viaggiare e incontrare persone così. Torneremo a Napoli e sicuramente qui. Tutto perfetto

The lovely couple that owns this were so fantastic to deal with, I felt at home as soon as they greeted me. The location was a bit busier than I usually prefer and the roads/footpaths were bumpy but it’s like that most places in Italy! It seems like a popular spot for authentic Naples food!

The bed was very firm and there was only one, very thick pillow provided. This was not suitable for my neck/sleeping position so I didn’t sleep very well and woke up with a bad neck. I was visiting Naples by train and my train was slightly delayed. The host told me there was a €20 charge if I arrived after 9pm. Obviously the host has a life to live besides running a business and looking after guests.

Des weiteren war es äußerst sauber und gepflegt. Ein weicherer Polster wäre toll und eine Möglichkeit das Gepäck am Abreisetag zu hinterlegen.

Vittorio is a great host, very friendly. There is a small communal area where you can make a coffee, a cold water fountain, lots of snacks to help yourself to. Right opposite is a great little bar called Drinks point, the guy who runs it is so lovely, definitely visit for an Aperol spritz or a beer. We also had a great little platter with mozzarell, olives, ham & salami here. We loved Naples, & loved B&B Spccanapoli 56. We'll be visiting again asap. Nothing, everything was great.

• Eden (1/5): No help at all - I found the place with difficulty and it was raining . I phoned and introduced myself to the man who answered the phone. He told me that there was no toom for me because I cancelled my booking. I was only asking if it is possible to cancel my booking which was 7 days already "Hello Eden , cancelation is possibile only over 7 days prior to your check in" . In that case I did not cancel . He still charged me the full amount of around €74 . He did not even tried to help me to find another place for that night. I asked people in the street and other place to stay but no success. About 4 people tried to ring places for me and one man in the restaurant accompanied me to find a place to stay . I still believe that there are good people who look after me that night except the person who talked to me over the phone. By the way my visa card was fully charged for one night. Any help in relation to refund the money?

• Duje (10/5): Great room in the best location near the streetfood Pignasecca market - Perfect central location, comfortable huge bed, spacious and clean We had only one key which if you remove, the electricity goes down so it is complicated if one wants to stay and sleep in the room, and the other wants to go out and stay late. Although we could have asked the host for another pair of keys which we didn't.

The property was not clear to find from the outside and the message that we got from the host to get in the main door was no help, If it wasn’t for the boy who was going in himself I don’t know how long we would have been outside. Once inside you have to pay to use the lift each time you go in it or take the stairs, wasn’t very good for my poor Nan. The entrance to the room was very odd as it was straight into what looked like the hosts desk and tea/coffee making area which was so loud in the evening as it was gone 10.30pm and someone was still working at the desk. I would describe this place more of a hostel than a b&b. The floor in the room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, there was mold all over the shower. Bed was super hard and so were the pillows. Such a disappointing stay and would never recommend to anyone. The towels were more like children’s towels. The curtains did not close over properly. The host wasn’t available when we couldn’t get inside or when we needed help as the wifi kept going down (there is no phone signal inside at all), then host wouldn’t help to book a taxi for us either.

Shower with good water pressure, a lot of restaurants and street food nearby, metro only 400 meters away. Not expensive. It’s the best hotel I’ve stayed in Naples.

• Sophie (8/5): Comfortable stay in a busy part of town. - The host, Vittorio, was great and very kind and helped with stowing luggage at the end. It was not so easy to gain admission to the room to begin with. Room was comfortable (bed, somewhere to hang clothes, good lighting), but nowhere to really sit except for on the bed. The bathroom was clean and very nicely done and very new. Also, the listing is a bit confusing, as there is definitely no breakfast (in the traditional sense of a BnB). There were snacks on offer and tea/coffee, but this is definitely not a BnB. Also, the area is very noisy, but this applies to much of Naples, but the rooms are also very central and there are plenty of places to explore and to eat and hang out. Also note that you will need to a city tax (for me it was 9 Euro for three nights), which is not included in the Booking.com price. Rethink the listing as a BnB.
• Joseph (8/5): Perfect place to explore the city. - SpaccaNapoli56 is in a perfect location, a short walk from metro stops which makes day trips to Pompeii/Ercolano/Caserta/etc extremely easy, and walking distance from anywhere in the centre. It's surrounded by places to eat in the evening, is bustling outside in the daytime and quiet at night. My room was clean, modern and had everything I needed. No problems with the AC, shower was great, even had USB charging next to the beds. There's a small shared space between the rooms with a water cooler, coffee, tea, snacks, etc - a nice pit stop before heading out into the city. Vittorio was wonderful and welcoming, full of suggestions for things to do, and helpful with any issues I had with my stay. My room was refreshed halfway through (5 nights), and left clean and tidy. I only had 2 issues worth mentioning - getting to the property for the first time and the wifi. The wifi is fast, when it works, but regularly drops out. It's fine for a holiday, you can do a quick search for metro times, opening times, and check in for flights home, but you wouldn't want to work or stream anything. Google Maps didn't give me the correct directions and the sign outside is hidden if you approach from the wrong direction. For anyone overheated and overtired on arrival like me, here's how you find it: Following maps directions from a nearby metro (e.g Dante, Toledo - only a few minutes walk) will bring you to a crossroads between Via Pignasecca and Via Pasquale Scura (40.84595338590508, 14.247938270057816). You don't want to go up Vico Pignasecca, as Maps told me to do. You want to walk up Via Pasquale Scura (on maps see the large mural of birds) until you see a large green door on the left hand side - it's next to the neon green "Better" shop, hard to miss (40.8458865,14.2477146). On the intercom on this door, press the buzzer for SpaccaNapoli 56 and head inside through the smaller door. Go to the rear and up the steps (the lift doesn't go to the floor, but its not far) until you reach the first floor with a door on both the left and right. You want the door on the left, next to the steps to the next floor - knock on this one and Vittorio will greet you! Once you know where it is, it's easy - plus you'll have keys and access codes.
