Guest Reviews
- Adam (10/5): Amazing and will hopefully return again in the summer - my son and i loved it, furniture is awesome and it was just like going back in time on a family holiday.
- David (10/5): - Cosy place that is in a great location. The overall vide is well described in the title of the property. Great for a family getaway.
- Scott (9/5): It was so peaceful - Quiet and restful with full access to everything Nothing
- Ashleigh (10/5): So greatful that we found this place! We will be back for sure! - Absolutely everything!
We had the best stay, it is exactly what the photos showed and had the most comfortable feel.
We loved the games and listening to the records and being able to sit on the deck and look at the river.
The shops were so close if you needed anything. I would recommend to others for sure
- Slava (10/5): Wonderful getaway house - many thanks for such an enjoyable weekend. - Amazing location, helpful host, cozy house, private jetty
- Joseph (7/5): Good -
- Sandy (8/5): Everything was clean - It was exactly like the photos on line The lights in the lounge dinning hard to read at night
- Zhi (9/5): Superb -
- Melita (9/5): Superb - Warm, cosy, clean, great board games, record player, beautiful bathroom. An amazing spot. Quiet, water view, botche on the lawn. Step back and enjoy the simple things in life. There is not much to not like.
- Cindy (7/5): Overall beautiful, however not very comfortable. - View was amazing, 70s vibes were on point. Wharf was great to fish off. Mattresses were incredibly hard, we ended up booking another hotel the 2nd night due to this.
It was also hotter inside then it was outside with the windows open and fans on - it was a 40 degree day.
- Anonymous (9/5): We had a wonderful time and thoroughly recommend The Anchorage. - The house oozed with seventies charm, even down to a fun selection of seventies records and books. The little private jetty onto Dora Creek was charming and special. There was no air conditioning, which was not ideal, but there was a ceiling fan and the breeze was lovely on the back veranda.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Very clean, lots of fun 70s decor and records to play. Perfect for a small group. Nothing.
- Robert (8/5): Very well needed break. Very nice retreat. Excellent - Location was great. Access to water excellent. Reasonably quiet. Deck was great for meals and relaxing. No hand rails on steps, on the creek-side, was a problem for me and unsafe. This is possibly a risk for all clients but more so for older clients and children. Suggest handrails on both sides.
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional - It was like a walk down memory lane. The 70's style of the home was extraordinary. Very clean and comfortable. Communication with the owner was prompt. Perfect location. Absolutely nothing.
- Neill (10/5): Exceptional - I highly recommend a stay at the Anchorage if you are looking for some RnR. The hosts were amazing and accommodating.
It is a beautiful location and if you love to fish it's an added bonus.
- Nancy (10/5): Relaxing n tranquil place - A nice n clean retro home overlooking the waters. The timber ceiling beams gives character to the place. A coffee machine would have been great. Otherwise, a nicely equipped kitchen.
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
