- MacNamara (8/5): excellent but it was not hot as April Unuasable in the heat of summer in the bedrooms, very poor for - quality of furniture and facilties excellent - location is excellent best in byron. sp[acious living area for all of family did not have air-conditioning in bedrooms upstairs. Disaster in a australian summer - would not rent over christmas holiday period. - winter only

- Greg (8/5): Great location - The location and the property was immaculately clean. No air conditioning in the upper level, lucky there was a breeze most nights but when there wasn’t it was like a sauna upstairs especially in the two rear bedrooms.

Beach is across the rd but a long walk through car park and stairs have stayed in far more convenient places . No cafes are on walking distance .
2nd snd 3rd rooms were tiny only suitable for kids. Was a good size downstairs . Neat and clean . Great to have courtyard at front and a pool out the back .
Pool Area really needs deck chairs such a let down to lay $10k a week and not even a chair to relax on . I’d stay but not in peak season as the price was not worth it at this time of year . S
- Dianne (6/5): Ok - The location is excellent. Comfortable lounge and kitchen area. Very clean. There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms which meant the two back bedrooms were hot even with all windows and doors open and the fans going. This made for restless nights and poor sleep. It wasn’t particularly hot when we were there so would think it would be unbearable in the height of summer. The front bedroom did get the sea breeze but even with the doors left open this didn’t travel through to the back rooms. The back bedrooms are also quite small, the twin room is really for kids and is crowded if two adults are sharing. It would have been nice to have beach towels on hand - even if this required a refundable deposit. If you’re flying in to Byron for a short stay you don’t want to have to pack a beach towel in your carry on luggage.
Small details like coat hangers in the wardrobes - I think there were less than 8 between all of us.
Having a laundry was great and having washing powder supplied was a positive. Bathrooms and kitchen were also well stocked with appropriate supplies. I probably wouldn’t rent here again just because of lack of aircon in the bedrooms but if this isn’t a concern then it’s a great location and has a good sized area downstairs and a nice outdoor area with bbq. We didn’t use and of the cooking facilities so can’t comment on this.

Property management team were very friendly and helpful.
Little touches were much appreciated, great selection of streaming channels, towels and toilet paper included. A little walk to town but we liked that.
- Anthony (10/5): A pleasant trouble free stay in a clean comfortable well maintained apartment in a good location. - We had a really pleasant stay in #1 James Cook apartments. Easy access on arrival.Secure parking, for one car, roadside parking usually available for another if needed although we visited slightly out of season.Very spacious and clean throughout. Very comfortable beds. Excellent showers. No sea view but access to excellent beaches approx 50 yards from the apartment with the centre of Byron Bay a 20-25 minute walk away, along the beach or road. Other very good beaches within a 5 minute drive. All facilities provided, except hair dryer, for a large family stay. The only issue encountered, which cannot be attributed to the company, was that access to the closest beach is via a set of steps which were at times a bit wearing on senior members of our party.
